Abstract

In the contemporary business landscape, prioritizing sustainability is not merely an ethical choice but a strategic imperative for companies seeking long-term viability. Recognizing the multifaceted nature of sustainability, companies engage in sustainability reporting to address the concerns of various stakeholders and to secure their sustained success. This study, conducted over the period 2015-2021, focused on 15 insurance companies, employing a quantitative methodology with purposive sampling. Sustainability reporting, represented by dummy variables, served as the dependent variable, while corporate governance factors such as independent commissioners, gender diversity among commissioners, audit quality, and institutional ownership constituted the independent variables. The empirical analysis, executed using SPSS version 25, yielded nuanced findings. Firstly, the presence of independent commissioners within insurance companies did not exhibit a statistically significant impact on sustainability reporting. Conversely, the inclusion of female independent commissioners displayed a positive correlation with enhanced sustainability reporting. Additionally, the study found that being audited by KAP BIG 4 had no discernible influence on sustainability reporting. However, institutional ownership emerged as a factor significantly affecting sustainability reporting within insurance companies. These research insights contribute to the evolving discourse on corporate sustainability and offer valuable guidance for companies navigating the complex intersection of financial performance and environmental, social, and governance considerations.

Abstract

The low physics learning outcomes of students are influenced by several factors, namely the selection of learning models and media that are less supportive so students are less responsive to learning. The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of the Flipped Classroom model assisted by Google Classroom on student learning outcomes and describe student responses to the Flipped Classroom model assisted by Google Classroom on straight-motion dynamics material. This research is an experimental research using a posttest-only control group design. The sample selection was done by cluster random sampling method. Data collection methods consist of observation, interviews, documentation, written tests, and questionnaires. The data analysis technique of learning outcomes used an independent sample t-test, while student responses used score criteria. The results showed that the Sig. (2-tailed) in the t-test using SPSS is 0.000 (? 0.05). Then, for the results of experimental class student responses, the results of the response aspect were 82.58% and the reaction aspect was 83.44%, both of which were in the interval 80 ? P ? 100 with a very good category. The conclusion obtained is that there is a significant effect of the application of the Flipped Classroom model assisted by Google Classroom on the learning outcomes of students of SMAN 3 Jember on the material of the dynamics of straight motion. Then, the results of student responses to the application of the Flipped Classroom model assisted by Google Classroom on the material of the dynamics of straight motion obtained positive responses and reactions and included in the very good criteria.

Abstract

To address the increasing cases of sexual violence in Indonesia and globally, there is a need to develop comprehensive strategies and initiatives. One approach is to enhance character development within the university environment, specifically through the implementation of a robust Healthy Campus Program. This program aims to instill national character values, focusing on education and higher education settings. The research employs qualitative methods, utilizing both secondary and primary sources, to shed light on the gravity of the issue and potential solutions. This holistic approach addresses not only the intellectual but also the spiritual aspects of individuals, emphasizing the importance of moral values and ethical conduct. It is through education that the foundation for preventing sexual violence can be laid. In addition to formal education, a Healthy Campus Program necessitates active involvement from the entire academic community. This collaborative effort is underscored by the guidelines outlined in Permendikbudristek No. 30 of 2021 concerning Crimes of Sexual Violence. The responsibility to foster a secure environment extends to all stakeholders within the university setting. By integrating character development initiatives and implementing a Healthy Campus Program, universities can contribute significantly to the prevention of sexual violence. This multifaceted approach aims not only to raise awareness but also to cultivate a culture of respect, empathy, and accountability. Through these collective efforts, it is envisioned that the number of sexual violence cases will decrease, creating a safer and more nurturing environment within and beyond university campuses.
