This research involved 22 students of class V at SD Negeri Wirogunan 2 as research subjects. In this study, the authors used a qualitative descriptive approach. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, documentation, and tests. Data validity uses source triangulation, namely comparing information obtained from different sources to re-check the degree of trustworthiness of information. The results of the research explain that the learning media innovation uses this quartet game, namely the students are very enthusiastic about learning to memorize Javanese script and it is hoped that through this game over time students can memorize all forms of Javanese script. In addition, the students will be challenged and enthusiastic in memorizing the Javanese script letters, because if they have memorized all the Javanese script letters, it will be easy to win this game.

Abstract

GKP Sindangjaya is a congregation that has established a partnership with STT SAPPI for community empowerment. The PkM approach begins with a survey to analyze the issues faced by youth in GKP Sindangjaya. Three main issues were identified: the inconsistency in the attendance of youth, their limited active involvement in the church, and social insecurity among them. The proposed solution is discipleship, involving the formation of a community with the goal of producing committed disciples of Christ. This process involves building deep relationships and effective communication. The PkM activities are designed in accordance with the research areas in the road map of LPPM STT SAPPI, including education, agribusiness, religion, and applied technology. The stages include preliminary surveys, the implementation of various discipleship and social interaction activities, monitoring, evaluation, report preparation, and publication in the form of a journal. The hope for this PkM is that the youth being mentored will exhibit more consistent attendance, active involvement in the church, and improved self-confidence in expressing their opinions. Through this approach, PkM is expected to have a positive impact on the personal and social development of youth in GKP Sindangjaya.

Abstract

In the new normal era after the Covid-19 pandemic, people's needs in Indonesia are increasingly high, but job opportunities are also limited to college graduates and those with certain age limits. There are still quite many people who are unemployed and hope to find work to make a living. Therefore, the best solution to this problem is to create an independent economic source by utilizing waste in the surrounding environment to become handicrafts with high selling value. Many innovations have emerged in the use of waste, such as patchwork waste which can be obtained easily, and can become a craft that has value for sale. The author chose the location of Plosokuning Village as a place to carry out the community service program. Plosokuning Village is in Minomartani Subdistrict, Ngaglik District, Sleman Regency, Yogyakarta City. The average job for the people of Plosokuning Village is as farmers and vegetable seller. The aim of this community service program is to provide skills in making crafts from patchwork to increase independence and open economic opportunities for the community, especially housewives to help the family economy.

Abstract

PkM within the framework of Progsif 2023 involves several crucial stages. These stages encompass preparation, execution, monitoring, evaluation, and publication. Through these stages, the PkM aims to provide benefits to the community, promote biblical values, and integrate an understanding of religious values into everyday life. The event is scheduled to span five days with a focus on understanding specific biblical texts relevant to themes such as sustainable living, the relationship between humanity and nature, and the importance of environmental preservation. Participants will receive guidance to help them apply these values in their daily lives. Furthermore, it is essential to note that this event also involves ongoing monitoring and evaluation stages. This means that the PkM team will continuously monitor and evaluate the event's progress during its implementation, enabling the identification of areas requiring improvement or adjustment. In summary, Progsif 2023 and its related PkM activities have a clear goal of providing benefits to the community while promoting biblical values, environmental stewardship, and a better understanding of humanity's role in creating a sustainable environment. Overall, this represents a positive step in supporting community engagement centered around religious and environmental principles.

Abstract

Used cooking oil is a liquid household waste that is not permitted to be discharged into waterways. Used cooking oil discharged directly into waterways causes scale on pipes, poisons animals that live in the water, and potentially harms the environment because oil cannot be broken down by water. Therefore, recycling of used cooking oil is a common obligation to reduce environmental damage due to water pollution. In order to reduce the potential environmental damage caused by used cooking oil, the FKIP 127 KKN Group of Universitas Sebelas Maret held a community empowerment activity by implementing activities in order to utilize used cooking oil into aromatherapy candles for PKK women in Duwet Village. The method used in this community empowerment activity is interactive lectures accompanied by experiments. The results of this activity are 1) participants in the socialization activity are able to understand the dangers arising from the disposal of used cooking oil in waterways and 2) participants in the socialization activity understand the process of recycling used cooking oil into aromatherapy candles. The conclusion is that the effort to tackle water pollution due to used cooking oil by recycling it into aromatherapy candles has the support of the community empowerment participants who are members of the PKK organization.

Abstract

The Community Service Program (Kuliah Kerja Nyata - KKN) conducted by the Faculty of Education and Teacher Training (FKIP) UNS 133 in Kenep Village, Sukoharjo, aims to bring about positive change while enlightening the local community. One of the initiatives implemented by the KKN 133 Kenep group to address the issue of accumulating household waste is a socialization program on the utilization of household waste through maggot cultivation and the production of liquid organic fertilizer (LOF). The implementation method employed for this program is a participatory approach, where KKN students directly engage in the field with the necessary equipment. Students not only provide theoretical explanations about the household waste processing procedures but also involve residents in hands-on practices. This includes providing tools and materials, as well as demonstrating the correct steps. This method is considered highly effective as it allows residents to witness, understand, and experience the benefits of the activities directly. The response from the community during the execution of this service activity has been overwhelmingly positive. The residents not only receive information but actively participate in practical learning processes. The impact of this initiative is significant, contributing to the increased knowledge of the community regarding household waste management, with the hope that this knowledge will be utilized effectively.
