Abstract

Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Tarbiyah (STIT) Maskumambang (Maskumambang College of Tarbiyah), Gresik Regency, fully understands the importance of improving students' writing skills. This was conveyed through holding seminars on writing scientific papers for students. This article presents the results of holding a scientific paper writing seminar for students, with a focus on using the Padlet and introduction to Zotero. The results of the questionnaire on the participants showed that in terms of student experience in using Zotero, only 5 percent of students had ever used it. The remaining 92 percent have never used Zotero. Meanwhile, from the suggestions column for the implementation of the training, one of the participating students was stated to be good. However, the training held did not provide enough writing practice sessions for participating students. This is understandable considering the format of the event is a seminar.

Abstract

MSME actors have quite big challenges to survive and grow with the current state of affairs,as well as increasingly fierce competition in the business and creative world. The current conditionsare also a challenge that is not easy during this pandemic, MSMEs are increasingly squeezed by thecondition of declining consumer buying interest in MSME products. MSMEs today must be digitallyliterate, this is to accelerate brand growth so that it is easily recognized by the public. According todata from "Hootsuite" internet users in Indonesia touch 202.6 million users, while 170 millionactive social media users are data for 2021. Brand strength can provide customer loyalty, financialbenefits, and the foundation for developing new products and markets. All successful businessesmust have the main steps to build a brand, because without efforts to build a brand, the product hasno value in the eyes of consumers. Virageawie Indonesia already has an active social media accountbut requires branding that is quite focused on marketing its brand products. For this reason, in thisactivity proposal, the team will assist Virageawie Indonesia as a fostered partner at the Universityof Indonesia Mebangun to revive the Virageawie Indonesia/Indonesian Bamboo Community productbrand in creating focus and developing corporate branding.

Abstract

The Canva application is a platform used for designing and is useful for honing creativity, one example of a design that can be made is an illustration. Picture story books are learning media that can improve children's reading interests and develop children's language skills. The Creative Teacher Community Likes to Write in East Kalimantan is very active in writing story books, especially children's story books, but to make illustrated illustrations very minimal, the community usually uses the services of an illustrator to help make the illustrations, and sometimes the illustrations that are made don't quite match the wishes of the author. The East Kalimantan Creative Teachers Like Writing Community has collaborated with STMIK Lecturer Widya Cipta Dharma to provide training to the community to increase knowledge about making illustrations, especially for picture storybooks. This training is a community service activity, the method used is an applied method that starts with a pretest to an assessment of the participant's ability to make picture storybooks. The training, which started from the opening to the closing, ran smoothly. This training is hoped to become a routine agenda for STMIK Widya Cipta Dharma.

Abstract

Through this technical training to improve the quality of PAUD teaching staff, it is hoped that PAUD teachers can improve their ability to carry out the learning process in a more targeted, creative, innovative, and effective manner. PAUD teachers are also expected to be able to absorb new information and knowledge that will help them provide quality and high-quality education for the younger generation in Balikpapan City and its surroundings. This training was held at the Learning Activity Center (SKB Balikpapan Selatan), with the target being PAUD teachers in Balikpapan City, East Kalimantan. The method of implementing this service is: 1). Coordinate with the head of the South Balikpapan SKB as a collaborative partner of the Mulia University PAUD Study Program to facilitate activities; 2). Determine the date of implementation of the training and the main contents of the activity; 3). Prepare tools, materials, and all equipment needed for training; 4). Prepare material to be given in the movement; 5)—implementation of activities carried out in November 2022; 6). Activities include delivering material on the first day and microteaching practice on the second. The results of implementing this service have a good impact on PAUD educators and provide skills to PAUD teachers in dealing with children who have to learn problems and improve the quality and quality of human resources at the PAUD unit level. The results of this community service also increase the relationship between Mulia University, especially the PAUD Study Program, with institutions outside the campus, such as the South Balikpapan SKB and PAUD Schools, that attend this training.

Abstract

The problem that arises in the development of a tourist village in Tetebatu village is the management of homestays that have not run optimally so that the services provided to tourists do not run well and tend to cause complaints from guests. This is based on the competence of human resources in Tetebatu village that cannot be said to be competent as a whole. For this reason, the purpose of this training is to improve the ability of human resources in Tetabatu village to manage their homestays. The methods used are focus group discussion, pre-test, providing material and direct practice by participants about preparing guest rooms, serving guest arrivals and serving food and drinks to guests, and the last method is post-test. Based on the results of the training that has been carried out, in general the training went well and successfully, the participants have been able to carry out direct practice of the training material provided. In addition, based on the results of the evaluation through the post-test to each participant, it was found that the average percentage value of the participants' knowledge was 75% or it could be said that the participants' knowledge was good

Abstract

One of the efforts to become an economically independent community is through community empowerment by utilizing natural resources, namely honey bee cultivation in Sangkanmanik Village, Cimarga District, Lebak Regency. This study aims to describe: 1) community empowerment strategies 2) community empowerment results 3) supporting and inhibiting factors of community empowerment. In this study the method used is descriptive method and qualitative approach, data obtained from observations, interviews and documentation. The data sources in this study consisted of six people, namely one chief executive and group leader and five members of the honey bee cultivation business group. Based on the results of the study it was found that 1) The community empowerment strategy carried out by the head of the honey bee cultivation business group was (1) facilitating venture capital, (2) community awareness, (3) providing knowledge (4) providing motivation (5) group management. 2) The results of community empowerment through the honey bee cultivation business group are increasing family economic resources so that economic and social needs are met, although not yet optimal. 3) Supporting factors in the implementation of community empowerment are human resources, strong motivation and government policies. The obstacles to empowering the community in the honey bee cultivation business are weak assistance, delays in science and technology, and the attitudes of people who are still traditional.

Abstract

In today's digital era, basic programming skills are in high demand in the workplace. Many companies are looking for employees who have basic programming skills to develop more sophisticated applications and technologies. Therefore, it is important for SMK students to have basic programming skills in order to compete in the world of work. This effort can help improve the basic programming skills of SMK children so that they can compete in the increasingly tight world of work and prepare themselves for a better future. This activity involves the stages of pre-test, material delivery, discussion, and post-test. The results show that the students are very happy with this training, which shows that in the first and second questions, the students get new knowledge with a simple explanation carried out by the speaker when conducting training, referring to the initial question before programming training, and after carrying out the training process, the students have 100% gained knowledge. Community service activities entitled "Basic Programming Learning Training Using Python Language" at SMK Bina Cipta Palembang have been successfully implemented. The training participants responded positively to this activity. The socialization of basic programming using Python has provided new knowledge for participants, which can increase creativity and knowledge in utilizing Python. The results of this training provide benefits and new knowledge for students

Abstract

Central Singapadu Village is located in the Sukawati sub-district, Gianyar Regency, Bali. It is a traditional village that is still thick in customs and culture. Various economic activities that have developed since before the pandemic include: batik crafts, sculptures, carvings, paintings, Money Kepeng, handicrafts (handicrafts), and Balinese styl building crafts. The average resident in Central Singapadu village has the ability to craft Balinese-style buildings. Carving art is very influential on Balinese traditional buildings because in making Balinese traditional buildings various types of carvings are needed in it. In the midst of the dynamic development of micro, small, and medium enterprises, the community or business group is expected to have legality, while legacy ownership of its business is still low. The purpose of this activity is to see the development of community group businesses in Central Singapadu village, Gianyar which can be developed as regional superior products and increase community effort and creativity in an effort to improve their welfare. The method of implementing activities used is Asset Based on Community Development (ABCD) by emphasizing community business assets and mobilizing community assets into a pure opportunity for the community in encouraging businesses to become superior products. After this activity was carried out, the partners invited to collaborate in this activity experienced an increase in knowledge about anthropometric applications, the process of recording financial activities, carving techniques, and traditional Balinese buildings.

Abstract

The community service that we are doing this time is tourism awareness. This dedication to the Mitra Arjuna Gapoktan in Tulungrejo Village, Bumiaji District, Batu City aims to assist the Gapoktan in terms of the tourism potential of the region. With the implementation of this community service, it is hoped that Gapoktan Mitra Arjuna will be more optimal in utilizing its natural potential. In order to create a tourism-aware community in this village, we are doing a number of things such as providing tourist facilities, assisting in the creation of promotional content, and outreach to awareness of nature's potential. Abstract

The aim of the e-commerce introduction socialization is to familiarize children from the Al-Hikmah Orphanage with e-commerce as a digital solution for buying and selling, which offers more benefits and convenience compared to traditional trading activities. During this socialization, the children are provided with knowledge about what e-commerce is and taught basic skills to design simple product brochures using the Canva application. They are also introduced to the concept of digital marketing and provided with examples of its implementation. The socialization activities involve direct delivery of the material and interactive workshops, where the children are actively encouraged to interact with the Canva tools as part of the socialization process. The success of this socialization is reflected in the enthusiasm displayed by the children of the Al-Hikmah Orphanage, as they actively participate in the activities from start to finish. The objective of this socialization is to have a positive impact and enhance the children's knowledge about the benefits of e-commerce.
