Abstract

PT Laksana Tekhnik Makmur is one of the companies that produces plastic automotive components, so it is interesting to carry out a direct approach to the company to find out the problems being faced. Production processes that use plastic seeds repeatedly, usually provide poor product quality and need improvement. The use of additives, especially antioxidants, which have been researched by a team from STMI Polytechnic, has shown an improvement in product quality. This community service activity, especially for PT Laksana Tekhnik Makmur, provides solutions to the production team to add antioxidants to the raw materials. If the production team implements according to the results of the discussion, a decrease in NG (no good) products can be obtained by 40%. This will increase the profit of the company itself. Abstract

Stunting or chronic malnutrition is another form of growth failure and chronic malnutrition. This situation has been going on for a long time, not like acute malnutrition. Stunting can also occur before birth and is caused by very inadequate nutritional intake during pregnancy, very poor parenting patterns, low quality of food in line with the frequency of infections so that it can inhibit growth. The service was carried out using the lecture method in which groups of pregnant women at the Lubuk Tarok Health Center were given counseling on nutrition management during pregnancy to prevent stunting in children and then discussions were held. Before and after counseling, questionnaires were distributed to assess the level of success of the counseling carried out

Abstract

Students' interest in learning has decreased coupled with the Covid-19 situation, which has made students study alone at home; teachers need to improve literacy skills in current students. The presence of Widya Mandira Catholic University's KKNT-PPM students helped overcome this problem by teaching in class using visual aids at SDK Halilulik for a month. The activity begins with observation and implementing activities in the Halilulik SDK classroom. Teaching aids help teachers to close gaps and hone students' literacy comprehension skills. Using teaching aids, youtube, TikTok, magazines, and comics are appropriate teaching aids that help in helping students understand a topic in class. Opinions from teachers and parents that children become more understanding and enthusiastic about learning after being brainwashed by KKN students using visual aids. The hope for the future is that activities like this can take place continuously.

Abstract

Because they can be used as a resource, farmer women's groups in rural areas can become a place of hope for farming families. In Sukanegara Village, This study's objectives are to: Gunungkencana District, Lebak Regency, Banten Province (1) the stages of women's empowerment through successful women farming group activities; (2) women's participation in empowerment through successful women's farmer group activities; and (3) the welfare of the economic community after participating in women's empowerment through successful women's farmer groups. A qualitative approach using descriptive method is the strategy applied. Interviews, observations, and documentation are the methods and rules for collecting data. Three additional strategies are used in addition to the data analysis methodology in this study: data reduction, data display, and finally conclusion and verification. Ten people provided data for this study, including two team members and eight women farmers. The research's findings lead to the following conclusions: the stages of empowerment are carried out quite well, with each stage being followed alternately; women's participation is involved and said to be active in empowering women through successful farmer women's groups; and in the field of community economic welfare, members of successful women farmer groups are able to be independent so as to be able to meet their financial needs.

Abstract

Karang Taruna is a forum for the younger generation to develop themselves, grow and develop on the basis of social awareness and responsibility from, by and for the younger generation, which is oriented towards achieving social welfare of the community. Karang Taruna is useful for advancing, developing and increasing productive activities by taking advantage of all the opportunities that exist in the environment, including human resources. The training activity for creating social media content as community service, which was carried out for Karang Taruna "Wisanggeni" in Kalimiru Village, Bayan District, Purworejo Regency, is a form of implementing knowledge transformation in the field of information technology. The implementation of community service starts from the socialization stage, training to the creation of Kalimiru Village YouTube content. Karang Taruna is able to increase the use of social media not only as a lifestyle, but also as a place to actively express themselves and be creative to increase youth activities in the village.

Abstract

Farmers' low knowledge of soil and water conservation can cause agricultural land to be vulnerable to erosion and environmental damage. The purpose of the community service activities carried out in Mekarwangi Village, Saketi District, Pandeglang is to provide knowledge to the farming community about the types of erosion and their prevention efforts in the form of vegetation methods, technical methods, and chemical methods. Based on the results of the questionnaires that have been collected, it means that before the counseling was carried out, the participants had very little information about the types of erosion, direct and indirect impacts, and prevention methods. After the extension was carried out, it was seen that there was a very significant increase in the knowledge of the farming community regarding erosion and the understanding that so far the management of agricultural land that had been carried out was not appropriate for slope conditions, which resulted in erosion and environmental damage.

Abstract

This collaboration community service of lecturers and students was aimed to provide Public Relations (PR) Officer training for the public relation staff at SMAN Sumatera Selatan, Palembang. As an internationally oriented educational institution, this senior high school requires reliable public relations staff. From the initial interview/survey, the problems faced by the school's public relations staff was a lack of knowledge and training in public relations services. The implementation of this community service was carried out for four months starting with an initial survey, counseling, service, mentoring and evaluation. The rationale for administering this public education program is the lecturers and students. The lecturers who involved were certified by the National Professional Certification Agency (Badan Nasional Sertifikasi Profesi/BNSP) and the students have taken PR courses. The results of training and mentoring show that the participants gained (1) knowledge in planning public relations programs to build good relations with the public and media, (2) ability to prepare presentations, events, seminars, conferences, workshops and meetings and document these activities, (3) capable of serving as master of ceremonies, and (4) conducting public relations research in exploring various options to build a good image for the institution. The output was a public relations handbook, final report and an articles published in local/national journals.

Abstract

Learning by conveying material or lectures is considered less effective and so monotonous in the teaching and learning process that has been carried out in each school, for this reason media support is needed in delivering the material to be studied so that students have an interest in learning. In addition, with this learning method, it is hoped that learning activities can be carried out properly and the quality and quantity of students will increase. Absorption of material presented by the author will be easier if done with an effective learning method. Therefore, on Tuesday 08 March 2022, from 09.00 to 12.00 the PKM team at Raden Fatah State Islamic University Palembang, consisting of 11 lecturers and 3 students, had the opportunity to provide training in coordination with the pesantren and 25 students. This training aims to provide knowledge and add insight to activity participants about the importance of using technology-based learning media. The importance of teaching media that is carried out makes students more interested in the learning system using quizziz. The result achieved by the participant were more enthusiastic in learning using this Quizizz learning media.

Abstract

Activity of Community service (PPM) as part of The Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi has been done on October 2015. The activity was about "The development of women’s creativity on production of various handicrafts made from flowers and dried plants by herbarium techniques” and was conducted on Semambu Island Village that is located on The North Indralaya District, Ogan Ilir Regency. This activity was in line with the home scale creative business development program of Sriwijaya University as an effort to improve the family income through the formation, fostering and assistance of small and medium-sized businesses, this activity is primarily targeted house-wives and young women in rural areas as an effort to support their family economy. Empowerment activities in this area are expected to have a positive impact on the development of creativity with economic value that also contained some of education, research and community service values. The activities were done by demonstration of making herbarium and handicrafts, and then it was followed by monitoring and evaluation. The utilisation of plants, flowers, and leaves for producing more high-value and economical handicrafts products by the herbarium can increase the community income and welfare.

Abstract

At the beginning of the 2022/2023 Academic Year, SMKN10 Merangin utilized the Maya Class learning facilities and infrastructure that used the Google for Education application. Even though the Google for Education application has been created for an account by each teacher at SMKN 10 Merangin, its use is still not optimal. The Google for Education application is Google's service for the world of education starting at the kindergarten, elementary, junior high, high school and tertiary levels. Google provides solutions for integrated communication by e-mail, calendar, and chat/discussion and collaborative solutions in learning activities. The Google for Education application is a series of applications with real-time synergy and collaboration between students, teachers and school staff that can be accessed using PC computers, notebooks, tablets and even smartphones. This includes email applications, calendars, sites, drives, groups, videos, social media that can be integrated with learning management systems at schools with Google acting as a vendor. The training program supported by the Merangin University research and service institute (LP3M) is running according as expected and successful by predetermined achievement indicators
