Abstract

This research focuses on how the process of students in acquiring language. This study aims to find out kinds of vocabulary that the young learners acquire through children song and analyze how the internal and external factors influence the process of language acquisition. The data in this study were 10 students from Hooray School In collecting the data, observation method and questioners were used. Observation was conducted for three weeks and post-test is given to the students in the last meeting of each week. Questioners is given to the students’ parents to know information about factors influence the students in learning English. The result of this study showed that English children songs are effective media to be used in acquiring language for children. In this study, there are 2 songs introduced to the students. From the lyrics of those songs, they are able to acquire English vocabularies, such as shark, octopus, jellyfish, turtle, dolphin, seahore, swim, and sea. In acquiring languages, the students are influenced by some factors. The internal factors are age, experience and learning style. The external factors consist of motivation, instruction and access to foreign speakers. The students who are surrounded by an English speaking environment learn English vocabularies faster and easier than the other students who are not surrounded by an English speaking environment.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the strategies used in efforts to achieve child development which took place at TK Dwijendra Mataram. The development of children who are the subject of research includes aspects of religious and moral values, physical-motor, cognitive, language, socio-emotional and artistic. Preschool age is a golden age for the growth and development of children. At this golden age a child must be given the right touch to reach the point of maximum development. This research was conducted using a qualitative approach in which the data obtained will be processed and then described in the form of words that describe the results of the study. To test the validity of the data, a triangulation technique was used, which in obtaining the data used the methods of interview, observation and literature study. The results of the study indicate that to achieve the development of religious and moral values, a habituation strategy is used, namely habituation to cultivate a religious and moral culture. Furthermore, on the physical-motor aspect, the teacher uses interactive learning strategies and participatory learning. In the cognitive aspect, the teacher uses a reward strategy, singing method and a Student Center Learning approach. In the language aspect, teachers use mentoring strategies to students to the fullest. Then on the aspect of socio-emotional development, the strategy applied is the fascinating storytelling method. As for the development of the artistic aspect, the school holds extra-curricular activities.

Abstract

This study uses an experimental research pattern The Posttest-Only Control-Group Design. The research population is all children of group B TK Lab Undiksha. The sample in this study amounted to 41 people. Data on children's basic cognitive abilities and language skills were collected by observation using an observation sheet. The data analysis used was MANOVA (Multivariat Analysis of Variance) assisted by SPSS 17.00 for windows. The results showed that: First, portfolio assessment in contextual learning had an effect on students' cognitive abilities (F= 28.56 p<5%). Second, portfolio assessment in contextual learning has an effect on students' language skills (F= 38.75 p<5%). Third, portfolio assessment in contextual learning has a significant effect on students' basic cognitive abilities and language skills (F= 17.59 p<5%).

Abstract

Research related to the role of parents in increasing the effectiveness of delivering teacher material through offline learning media was carried out with the objectives of 1. To understand the role of parents during Covid-19, 2. To know the media and learning resources during Covid-19, 3. To analyze the role of people know in delivering teacher material during Covid-19. The Covid-19 pandemic has forced the government to carry out several emergency policies, one of which is Learning From Home (BDR). In this BDR activity, parents become a bridge of knowledge from teacher to child, so parents play an important role in online learning. Parents and teachers are expected to have good communication so that teaching and learning activities for children are not disturbed and can run. The government is expected to pay attention to the obstacles experienced by students, teachers, and parents.

Abstract

Education is an important factor that has a major influence on the process and learning outcomes of a student. Likewise with development in character education which also demands activities as well as the creativity and character of a teacher in shaping personal competence in students. How is the strategy of Kindergarten Teachers with Hindu nuances in planning the development of character education values and the development of character education values. This study uses a qualitative research type by applying the case method. The results of the study show that the teacher prepares daily learning plans, semester programs and includes annual programs, the use of learning media, educators must pay attention to models, methods and strategies and understand the character of students' children and through integrated classroom teaching and learning activities in each subject, extracurricular activities, as well as daily activities at home and in the community.

Abstract

Children according to Hindu law have rights and obligations as children. These rights are generally obtained from the time the child is still in the womb until the time the child dies. Child protection is actions to guarantee, protect children and children's rights so that they can grow and develop. This study uses a literature research method or literature study that examines the Hindu legal order in understanding the rights and protection of children. Hindu law emphasizes that parents are obligated to provide protection for children in all matters including the fields of education, health and social welfare of children. The study of Hindu law is in accordance with applicable law in Indonesia, namely the implementation of child protection that is considered in making decisions relating to the future of the child. continuously regardless of ethnicity, religion, race, or class.

Abstract

Storytelling is one of the most interesting learning methods to be applied in a lesson in PAUD. The purpose of this research is to explain the teacher's role in the application of storytelling methods and to develop, improve the creativity and ability of teachers in the application of storytelling methods applied to early childhood education at PAUD Sandat Kuning Mataram. The formulation of the problem in this research is about: 1) What is the role of the teacher in the application of the storytelling method at PAUD Sandat Kuning Mataram. 2) What are the teacher's obstacles in implementing the storytelling method at PAUD Sandat Kuning Mataram. This research was solved using descriptive qualitative method by applying an experimental approach and the problems studied were using two theories, namely the theory of motivation and the theory of Behaviorism. The results of the study show that the role of teachers in the application of storytelling methods at PAUD Sandat Kuning Mataram can be seen starting from: 1) Teachers as learning managers, 2) Teachers as motivators, 3) Teachers as assessors. Teachers' Obstacles in Applying Storytelling Methods at PAUD Sandat Kuning Mataram, including: 1). The lack of learning media, the lack of learning media in question, one example is the unavailability of story books which is one of the obstacles in increasing students' learning motivation so that learning objectives cannot be achieved optimally. 2) Lack of concentration and enthusiasm of students in learning to tell stories. 3) Lack of number of educators, it also has a very big influence, because educating early childhood is something that requires more time and patience, because at this time they are actively-active and do require supervision and special ways to provide education. learning. Abstract

This study aims to describe early childhood education in families in a COVID-19 pandemic situation; the obstacles faced in educating early childhood in families in the COVID-19 pandemic situation; and efforts made to overcome the obstacles to educating early childhood in families in the COVID-19 pandemic situation. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. The location of this research research is in Padangbulia Village, Sukasada District, Buleleng Regency. The research subjects were parents of early childhood as informants, totaling 20 people. The data used are primary and secondary data. The technique of determining informants is purposive sampling. Data collection techniques by means of literature study and interviews. The data were then analyzed through the stages of data collection, reduction, display, and verification. This research reveals several things including: early childhood education in the family in the COVID-19 pandemic situation, including the feelings of parents when replacing the role of teachers, the readiness of parents to educate children during the COVID-19 pandemic; and the role of parents in helping children learn. The obstacles faced when educating early childhood in the family in the COVID-19 pandemic situation are children's boredom, differences in children's learning styles, learning atmosphere, learning facilities and learning comfort. Efforts made in overcoming obstacles when educating early childhood in the family in the COVID-19 pandemic situation are that parents must learn more, pay attention to children's learning habits, prepare adequate supporting facilities, and create a comfortable learning atmosphere.

Abstract

Education is closely related to the process of organizing to fully achieve educational goals. Using appropriate learning methods in the learning process is one of the keys to the success of the learning process. Good learning methods need to be adapted to the age of students, because there are many learning techniques in learning methods that educators can apply to achieve what they want to achieve. Learning to draw with practice with finger painting technique is a form of adapting teaching and learning techniques used by TK Kusawa Hanagiri by taking into account the age level of students. Based on this, the writer then carried out qualitative descriptive activities and finger painting which was supported by data analysis using the triangulation stage using data collection techniques in the form of observations, interviews, and library searches. The following are the results of the analysis of the mean of finger painting learning in Kusawakagiri Kindergarten. Based on these results, there is some debate. 1) Finger painting develops students' imagination. That is, the child's imagination, which is mainly influenced by the environment, is acquired in the process of observing the child and in himself. Through this process, the head that is built will be able to foster children's creative thinking and develop their intelligence, enabling them to think critically. 2) Finger painting fosters student creativity. In short, learning finger painting allows children to create new conditions based on existing data, information and elements (creativity). 3) Painting with fingers as a source of inspiration, painting with fingers as a source of implied inspiration is a detailed practice process for students.

Abstract

The ability to think logically is one of the cognitive abilities of children that need to be developed from an early age. Improving logical thinking skills can be done using interesting media in the form of a game of snakes and ladders qr code. The use of media combined with qr code technology can attract interest and motivate children in learning activities. The purpose of this study was to examine whether or not there is an influence of the qr code snake and ladder media on the logical thinking ability of children in the TK B group aged 5-6 years in Mantewe District. This study uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental research design with a non-equivalent control group design. Data collection techniques using observation techniques with observation sheets. The research subjects were the children of group B in Pembina State Kindergarten, Mantewe Subdistrict with 40 samples consisting of an experimental group of 20 children and a control group of 20 children. Parametric statistical analysis technique using paired sample t-test. After the treatment of the snake and ladder game qr code, the results obtained a significant value in the pre-test and post-test of the experimental group of 0.000 <0.05. Then it can be stated that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, meaning that there is a difference between the child's logical thinking ability before the qr code snake and ladder game media is applied and the child's logical thinking ability after the qr code snake ladder game media is applied. Furthermore, it is hoped that this research can be used by teachers and can contribute especially in improving the logical thinking ability of early childhood.
