Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the implementation of independent character education in Forming a Discussion Culture in Grade VII Students of Bhayangkari Rantau Prapat Middle School. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach, focusing on an in-depth understanding of events and problems. Data were obtained from interviews with informants, observations and various document documentation data, while data analysis and triangulation were used to ensure the validity of the information collected. The results of this study indicate that independent character in Forming a Discussion Culture in Grade VII Students of Bhayangkari Rantau Prapat Middle School has a significant impact on the formation of a discussion culture in the classroom. Although there are several challenges in the implementation of independent character education, such as students' lack of self-confidence and dependence on teachers, the efforts made by the school have shown positive results. With the right strategies, such as giving assignments that encourage independence, providing positive feedback, and strengthening the role of peers, a productive discussion culture can be formed among students

Abstract

This research aims to examine the role of the principal as supervisor in strengthening the effectiveness of administrative services at SMP Negeri 1 Bilah Hulu. The focus of this research covers five main aspects: (1) the role of the principal in supervising school administration, (2) the influence of the principal's supervision on the effectiveness of school financial management, (3) the role of the principal in supervising facilities and infrastructure, (4) development of information systems to increase service effectiveness, as well as (5) challenges faced in implementing supervision of school principals. This research uses a qualitative method with a case study approach, where data is obtained through interviews, observation and documentation analysis. The research results show that school principals play a crucial role in improving administrative effectiveness through strict and consistent supervision. Principal supervision has been proven to be able to increase transparency in financial management, ensure maintenance of facilities and infrastructure, and support the development of a more effective school information system. However, the implementation of supervision still faces various challenges, such as limited resources and resistance from staff. The implications of this research emphasize that principals need to develop better adaptive strategies and supervisory skills to overcome these challenges. In this way, the role of the principal as supervisor can continue to be improved, so that the effectiveness of administrative services at SMP Negeri 1 Bilah Hulu becomes more optimal and supports the achievement of overall educational goals.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine: The influence of learning communication on understanding Pancasila material to strengthen the national insight of class VIII students at SMP Negeri 1 Bilah Hulu. The population in this study were all Class VIII students at SMP Negeri 1 Bilah Hulu. totaling 283 people. The number of samples taken was 74 students as respondents. This research uses an associative-quantitative approach with a simple linear regression model. Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires. Research data was processed using SPSS 22.0. The results of the research show that: Learning Communication (X) partially has a positive and significant effect on the understanding of Pancasila material for strengthening the national insight of class VIII students at SMP Negeri 1 Bilah Hulu.  Based on the calculations, the linear regression coefficient value for the Learning Communication variable (X) is 0.379, with a positive sign at sig 0.001, which is smaller than 0.05, namely 0.001 < 0.05. So, it can be interpreted that Learning Communication (X) has a positive and significant effect on the understanding of Pancasila material for strengthening the national insight of class VIII students at SMP Negeri 1 Bilah Hulu.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the implementation of literacy culture among class VII students at SMP Negeri 1 Bilah Hulu and its influence on the development of students' civic intelligence. The literacy culture in question includes reading, writing and discussion activities which aim to increase students' insight and skills in understanding social, political and civic issues. This research also identifies factors that support and hinder the implementation of literacy culture in schools, as well as their impact on the development of students' civic intelligence. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. Research subjects included class VII students, teachers, and related parties at SMP Negeri 1 Bilah Hulu. The data obtained was analyzed using thematic analysis techniques to identify the main themes in the implementation of literacy culture and its relationship with the development of civic intelligence. The research results show that the implementation of literacy culture at SMP Negeri 1 Bilah Hulu has been implemented well, although there are several challenges, such as a lack of literacy facilities and limited time for literacy activities. Factors that support the implementation of a literacy culture include support from the school, availability of reading materials, and active participation of teachers in guiding students. On the other hand, inhibiting factors include students' lack of interest in reading and limited time for carrying out literacy activities. The literacy culture implemented has been proven to have a positive influence on the development of students' civic intelligence, which can be seen from students' increased understanding of their rights and obligations as citizens, as well as their involvement in discussions and social activities that support civic values.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of two financial parameters - Price Earning Ratio (PER) and Earnings per Share (EPS) - on stock returns of transportation and logistics companies listed on the IDX. Both metrics are fundamental analysis tools that help investors evaluate the potential and value of a company's stock. The selection of the transportation and logistics sector is based on its significance in driving the national economy and distribution, although this sector is also vulnerable to external pressures that can impact its financial performance. A quantitative approach through multiple linear regression is applied in this research, using historical data in the form of financial reports and stock price movements from transportation and logistics issuers on the IDX. In the research model, PER and EPS act as independent variables, while stock returns are the dependent variables. The analysis reveals that both parameters have a significant impact on stock returns, with EPS showing a more dominant positive influence than PER. This suggests that earnings per share plays a greater role in determining the level of stock returns in this sector. The results of this study provide valuable insights for capital market players in making investment decisions based on financial indicators. This study also contributes to the development of knowledge related to fundamental factors that influence stock returns, while providing references for investment strategies in the transportation and logistics sector of the IDX.

Abstract

Evaluation of the financial performance of PT Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk for the period 2020-2022 was carried out through a study with quantitative methods. The data source comes from annual reports available on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). Based on the calculation of profitability ratios (ROE, ROA, and NPM), it appears that the optimization of the use of equity, assets, and sales for profit is still not optimal. In terms of liquidity, although the current ratio and quick ratio are still below industry standards, the cash ratio indicates the effectiveness of cash management in maintaining short-term liquidity. Solvency analysis through DER and DAR reveals that the company still relies significantly on debt financing for operational activities, potentially increasing financial risk. It can be concluded that despite facing constraints in profitability and solvency, the company is able to maintain its short-term liquidity condition well.

Abstract

This study aims to test the reliability and validity of a test used in an educational context. Reliability refers to the consistency of test results when applied under different conditions, while validity relates to the extent to which the test measures what it is supposed to measure. In this study, reliability analysis was conducted using the Cronbach's alpha method, while validity was tested through correlation analysis between test scores and relevant criterion measures. The results showed that the test tested had a high level of reliability, with a Cronbach's alpha value reaching 0.85, indicating good internal consistency. In addition, the validity of the test was also found to be adequate, with a significant correlation between test scores and participant performance in relevant tasks. These findings support the use of the test as a reliable and valid measuring instrument in the context of educational evaluation. This study contributes to the development of more objective and measurable assessment instruments in the field of education.

Abstract

For a teacher, to know student learning outcomes, they must have knowledge about evaluating learning outcomes, which has various stages, so that the evaluation carried out can be measured and accurate. This research was conducted to examine how learning outcomes evaluation techniques can be implemented. This research is qualitative in nature by analyzing several literature books and as the main data source. The results of the research are the steps for evaluating learning outcomes, namely, preparing a plan for evaluating learning outcomes, collecting data, verifying data, processing and analyzing data, providing interesting interpretations and conclusions, and nothing more about the evaluation results. By using learning outcomes evaluation techniques in the form of test techniques, objective techniques and non- test techniques.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the implementation of a taxonomy of educational objectives in the assessment of learning to occur in order to improve the quality of the learning process. The approach used is a qualitative method, using data collection through literature study, document analysis, and in-depth interviews with educators from various levels of education. The analytical framework used refers to Bloom's updated taxonomy, covering cognitive, affective and psychomotor domains. The research results show that there is an emphasis on mastery of low-level cognitive domains, such as remembering and understanding, while the development of high-level abilities, such as analyzing, evaluating and creating, does not receive adequate attention. Apart from that, the affective and psychomotor domains tend to be neglected in the learning planning process, even though these domains play a crucial role in supporting the formation of students' character and practical skills. This research concludes that implementing a balanced taxonomy of educational objectives can strengthen the relevance and effectiveness of learning, and recommends improving educator training in setting objectives and evaluating learning outcomes more comprehensively.

Abstract

Assessment plays a crucial role in education by measuring the success of the teaching and learning process. One of the most common assessment tools used is tests, which can be categorized into two main types: standardized tests and non-standardized tests (teacher-made tests). Standardized tests are designed by expert teams with strict procedures to ensure validity and reliability, and they are used to compare student performance across different schools or educational institutions. In contrast, non-standardized tests are created by teachers to assess student achievement within a more specific and flexible context. This study aims to compare both types of tests in terms of their construction, implementation, and benefits in education. The research employs a comparative approach using literature review and field observations in several schools. The findings suggest that standardized tests offer advantages in consistency, validity, and the application of broad norms, while non-standardized tests are more flexible and tailored to the specific needs of a classroom. Both types of tests have distinct benefits, and the choice of which test to use should align with the intended evaluation goals.
