Abstract

This study aims to analyze the functions of language in the lyrics of the Rejang regional song titled "Anak Kunang" by Idil/Widison, focusing on two perspectives: the language function theory of Chaer and Agustina and Jakobson's theory. The method used is qualitative descriptive analysis, where data are obtained from the song lyrics and then analyzed based on relevant language functions. The research findings reveal that the lyrics contain various language functions, such as personal, directive, phatic, referential, and metalingual functions according to Chaer and Agustina, as well as referential, emotive, conative, metalingual, and phatic functions according to Jakobson. In conclusion, the song "Anak Kunang" serves not only as a source of entertainment but also as a medium rich in meaning that conveys the social and cultural values of the Rejang community. This study emphasizes the importance of language as a communication tool that can strengthen social bonds and reflect cultural identity.

Abstract

The pantun tradition in the Nampun Kule (Proposal) activity in Air Mayan Village, Pasemah Air Keruh District has an important value as a communication medium, which conveys advice, moral messages, and strengthens social and cultural ties. However, along with the development of the era and modernization, the use of pantun in Nampun Kule has begun to decrease. The younger generation is increasingly losing interest in this tradition, so that the preservation of this oral culture faces a major challenge. This raises concerns about the extinction of the pantun tradition as part of the cultural identity of the Pasemah tribe. This study aims to analyze the physical and spiritual elements of pantun in the Nampun Kule activity of the Pasemah tribe in Air Mayan Village, Kampung 7 Air Ringkeh, Pasemah Air Keruh District. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with data collection through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The research sources consisted of the traditional leader, the head of the hamlet, the head of the imam, and representatives of the community. The research instruments include interview and observation guidelines. The results of the study show that pantun in Nampun Kule has its own characteristics. In addition to functioning as entertainment, these pantuns also convey moral and spiritual messages, such as hopes for happiness, harmony, and life advice for the bride and groom. Although this tradition has experienced a decline in use due to modernization, the people of Air Mayan Village still maintain pantun as part of their cultural identity. This study contributes to the preservation of traditional culture, especially pantun in Nampun Kule activities, as well as enriching the study of oral arts and culture in Indonesia

Abstract

Perencanaan karir siswa membantu mereka dalam memilih rencana pekerjaan dan jenis pendidikan masa depan yang ingin mereka kejar. Akan tetapi fenomena yang terdapat di sekolah adalah belum tercapainya kematangan karir siswa yang cukup dan kematangan karir siswa di sekolah belum terekspos. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah layanan informasi karir yang menggunakan media website dapat membantu siswa kelas XI SMAN 5 Kota Serang lebih memahami perencanaan karir. Quasi Experimental Design adalah metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Desain quasi eksperimen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pre-test post-test nonequivalent group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 541 siswa yang merupakan siswa kelas XI di SMAN 5 Kota Serang. Purposive sampling adalah metode yang digunakan dalam prosedur pengambilan sampel. Hasil pre-test menunjukkan dari total 541 siswa, sebanyak 16 siswa berada pada kategori rendah dan akan mendapatkan treatment. Dua kelompok yang masing-masing terdiri dari delapan siswa—kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol—diberi perlakuan. Survei perencanaan karir dan wawancara terstruktur digunakan sebagai metode pengumpulan data. Analisis uji hipotesis Wilcoxon Signed Rank dan analisis Gain Score merupakan metode analisis data yang digunakan. Berdasarkan hasil analisis uji hipotesis Wilcoxon Signed Rank mendapatkan nilai Asymp.Sign (2-tailed) bernilai 0.011. Sebagaimana melihat pada pengambilan keputusan hipotesis, nilai 0.011 lebih rendah daripada 0.05 maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa hipotesis dinyatakan diterima. Dengan demikian artinya ada keberhasilan pengaruh Layanan Informasi Karir Berbasis Website Untuk Meningkatkan Pemahaman Perencanaan Karir Siswa SMA Kelas 11. Kata Kunci : Perencanaan Karir, Layanan Informasi Karir, Website ABSTRACT Students' career planning helps them in choosing their job plans and the type of future education they want to pursue. However, the phenomenon in schools is that sufficient student career maturity has not been achieved and the career maturity of students in school has not been exposed. The purpose of this study is to find out whether career information services that use website media can help grade XI students of SMAN 5 Serang City better understand career planning. Quasi Experimental Design is the research method used in this study. The quasi-experimental design used in this study is a pre-test post-test nonequivalent group design. The population in this study is 541 students who are grade XI students at SMAN 5 Serang City. Purposive sampling is a method used in sampling procedures. The results of the pre-test showed that out of a total of 541 students, as many as 16 students were in the low category and would receive treatment. Two groups of eight students each—the experimental group and the control group—were given treatment. Career planning surveys and structured interviews are used as data collection methods. The analysis of the Wilcoxon Signed Rank hypothesis test and the Gain Score analysis were the data analysis methods used. Based on the results of the analysis of the Wilcoxon Signed Rank hypothesis test, the Asymp.Sign (2-tailed) value was 0.011. As seen in hypothesis decision-making, a value of 0.011 is lower than 0.05, so it can be concluded that the hypothesis is accepted. Thus, it means that there is a successful influence of Website-Based Career Information Services to Improve the Understanding of Career Planning for Grade 11 High School Students. Abstract

Masa dewasa awal merupakan masa perpindahan dari remaja menuju dewasa yang dimulai pada usia 18 hingga 25 tahun. Fatherless merupakan julukan ketika seseorang tidak adanya ayah dan tidak terjalinnya hubungan dengan ayah yang disebabkan oleh perceraian atau konflik pada pernikahan orang tua. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan yaitu jenis penelitian kualitatif. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan yaitu pendekatan Studi kasus (case study). Data yang diperoleh pada penelitian ini ialah bersumber dari informan dengan melakukan wawancara secara langsung dengan tiga informan yang merupakan wanita dewasa awal yang mengalami fatherless. Teknik analisis data terdiri dari reduksi data, penyajian data, simpulan data. Hasil dari penelitian yaitu lebih memilih pasangan dari kelas sosial-ekonomi yang setara, pada wanita dewasa awal yang mengalami fatherless. Dalam menghindari perselisihan mengenai perbedaan ras dan suku, wanita dewasa awal yang mengalami fatherless memilih pasangan dengan latar ras dan budaya yang sama. Kurangnya peran ayah memberikan dampak kekosongan, sehingga menentukan kriteria sikap dan tingkah laku pasangan yang mampu mengisi kekosongan akibat ketidakhadiran figur ayah. Adanya kekosongan peran ayah secara emosional menentukan kriteria usia pasangan yang berusia lebih tua.

Abstract

This thesis discusses the analysis of metaphors contained on natural advertisements. The purpose of this research is to classify the types of metaphors contained on natural advertisements and find the most dominant metaphor on the advertisements. This research was conducted using qualitative method. The author reads and understands the contents of the advertisements that consist of 10 advertisements to obtain data. The data collection instrument is observation. The data is obtained from advertisement whose topics are about nature. The author found 114 data on natural advertisements. The types of metaphors contained on natural advertisements are representatives consisting of concretive metaphor 64 data, animistic metaphor 2 data, humanizing metaphor 45 data, and synaesthetic metaphor 3 data. From the research, the author concludes that concretive metaphor is the most dominant and frequently used in natural advertisements. The benefits of this research for the state and nation, especially for students and English teachers are that this research can be used as a source of teaching material, a source of students in learning more about metaphor, and for further authors, especially in linguistic that analyze one-way objects such as advertisements, art like poems, drama, and songs.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to obtain empirical data on the effect of using cake Application as Learning Media into students' ability to practice their language skills. This study was conducted using an experimental quantitative method. The sample was 40 students from eight classes at SMP Negeri 37 Medan. The sample was VIII A as the experimental class and VIII B as the control class. In the experimental class, the researcher used as a teaching media cake application while in the control class, the researcher used conventional methods in the learning process. The instrument of this study was a speaking test that we divided into pre-tests and post-tests. The data obtained from the test were analyzed using the SPSS20 program. The average pre-test score in the experimental class was 64,35, and the post-test score was 78,35. The average pre-test score in the control group was 65,2 and the post-test score 75,5. This shows that the average score in the experimental group was higher than the control group. The result was t-calculated > t -table with a significance level of p = 0.05 (3272 > 2192) The alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted, and the null hypothesis (Ho) was rejected. It also proved that English subject teachers apply the Cake Application as an alternative teaching medium to help the speaking ability of class VIII students at SMP Negeri 37 Medan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dan pengembangan ADDIE yang mencakup lima (5) Langkah kegiatan yaitu, menganalisis, perancangan, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas XI-1 yaitu sebagai kelas eksperimen yang berjumlah 35 orang dan XI-2 yaitu sebagai kelas kontrol yang berjumlah 35 orang SMA Swasta Markus Medan. Kelayakan produk divalidasi oleh dua orang ahli media, 2 orang ahli validasi soal essay dan 2 orang ahli materi. Uji yang dilakukan pada penelitian ini adalah uji normalitas, uji homogenitas dan uji independent sample t-test. Hasil penelitian sebagai berikut: (1) Media pembelajaran berbasis aplikasi KAHOOT pada materi suhu dan kalor ini valid untuk digunakan di sekolah, sesuai dengan hasil dari penilaian dua orang ahli yaitu ahli materi dan ahli media dengan persentase berturut – turut 77%, 74%, (2) Hasil respon peserta didik dan Pendidik terhadap media pembelajaran berbasis aplikasi KAHOOT pada materi suhu dan kalor di SMA Swasta Markus Medan secara berturut – turut adalah Sangat Baik, dengan persentase 82%, 92,5%, (3) Hasil nilai posttest peserta didik terhadap media pembelajaran berbasis aplikasi KAHOOT pada materi suhu dan kalor di SMA Swasta Markus Medan adalah memiliki Keberhasilan dalam proses berpikir peserta didik dengan dilakukannya uji normalitas, homogenitas, dan uji t dengan nilai signifikansi berturut – turut adalah nilai signifikansi uji normalitas kelas eksperimen 0,200 kelas kontrol 0,143, nilai signifiknsi uji homogenitas Based on Mean 0,653, dan uji t nilai signifikansi 0,00

Abstract

Local culture such as tembang is starting to disappear where the younger generation tends to prefer foreign culture, thereby making local culture marginalized, tembang is generally better understood by the older generation than the younger generation. The aim to be achieved in this research is to describe, analyze and conclude the rhymes contained in songs in South Bengkulu. This research uses qualitative research. The data source was obtained from primary data. The primary data source came from observations via five YouTube videos on the Wengki Studio channel and secondary data was obtained from document studies which included various sources such as books, journals and theses related to songs in South Bengkulu. The results of this research are that from the first song video there are two perfect rhymes, three front rhymes, two end rhymes, two chain rhymes and sixteen paired rhymes or twin rhymes. From the second song video there are four end rhymes and six broken rhymes from the third song video. There are five cross rhymes from the fourth song video, there are four cross rhymes and from the fifth song video there are two twin rhymes, two end rhymes, two continuous rhymes or chain rhymes and four paired or twin rhymes. Of the five song videos there are five Twenty-four rhymes in the song video in South Bengkulu on the YouTube video channel Wengki Studio. The rhymes that are most often found in this song are twenty-two rhymes in pairs or twin rhymes, while the rhymes that are least found are chain rhymes of two rhymes.

Abstract

This research examines the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in English language instruction at SMPN 2 South Bengkulu using a qualitative descriptive method. The study focuses on understanding the processes, challenges, and strategies involved in adopting the curriculum, which emphasizes educational diversity and flexibility. Through observations, interviews, and documentation, the research reveals that SMPN 2 South Bengkulu has effectively integrated the Merdeka Curriculum, guided by the principles of Pancasila and the development of superior human resources, despite encountering some obstacles. Key findings include the importance of teacher preparation, where English teachers familiarize themselves with curriculum regulations, analyze learning outcomes, prepare teaching tools, and understand the principles of Merdeka Curriculum assessment. The study also highlights the implementation of the curriculum in classroom activities, from opening sessions to core interactions and closing evaluations. Finally, the research discusses the assessment methods used, including diagnostic, formative, and summative assessments, which are adapted to the students' competencies and needs. The findings suggest that while challenges exist, the Merdeka Curriculum offers a flexible and holistic approach to education, promoting the development of students' cognitive, affective, and psychomotor skills in a democratic learning environment.

Abstract

Guru masih kesulitan memanfaatkan lingkungan sebagai sumber belajar matematika, seperti kesenian rebana dalam pembelajaran matematika di kelas. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengeksplorasi etnomatematika kesenian rebana pada masyarakat suku pekal Kecamatan Malin Deman sebagai sumber belajar matematika siswa SMP. Jenis penelitian ekploratif, metode kualitatif. Objek penelitian adalah aktivitas fundamental matematis kesenian rebana sarapal anam. Subjek penelitian yaitu pembuat rebana, ketua, pelatih, anggota kesenian rebana sarapal anam fastabiqul khairat dan guru matematika SMP. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara semi-terstruktur, observasi, serta dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data meliputi pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kesenian rebana sarapal anam pada masyarakat suku pekal, diantaranya aspek counting pada proses pembuatan kesenian rebana. Locating yakni pada cara penyusunan rebana pada tempat penyimpanan kesenian rebana dan lokasi pementasan kesenian rebana. Measuring pada durasi waktu pelaksanaan kesenian rebana, kecepatan tempo permainanan kesenian rebana dan ukuran kesenian rebana. Playing pada cara memainkan kesenian rebana dan penentuan jadwal latihan kesenian rebana. Designing pada bentuk kesenian rebana dan bentuk permukaan kesenian rebana. Explaining pada makna dari kesenian rebana sarapal anam. Aspek fundamental tersebut terdapat aspek matematis dapat dijadikan sebagai sumber belajar matematika dan penunjang sekaligus jembatan untuk memahami pelajaran matematika. Aspek matematis pada kesenian rebana di kelas VIII difokuskan pada materi lingkaran dengan sub materi pokok unsur-unsur lingkaran. Dibuatkan RPP mengenai materi lingkaran. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa kesenian rebana pada masyarakat suku pekal dapat dijadikan sumber belajaran matematika khususnya materi lingkaran. Oleh karena itu dapat disarankan bahwa untuk memudahkan proses pembelajaran matematika maka tingkatkan eksplorasi budaya local rebana sarapal anam sebagai sumber belajar.
