Abstract

Human resources (HR) play a key role in the success and sustainability of a company because employee capability and performance are very vital elements. Two main factors that are often associated with employee performance are compensation and work discipline. This study aims to determine and analyze the direct and indirect effects of compensation and work discipline on employee performance with work motivation as an intervening variable at PT. Bukit Alam Persada. The research method was carried out using a quantitative approach to PLS-SEM analysis using SmartPLS 4 software with a sample of 35 employee staff obtained by using a questionnaire. The study's findings demonstrated that while compensation has a positive and significant impact on work motivation, work discipline has a negative and negligible impact on work motivation; compensation has a positive and significant impact on employee performance; work discipline has a positive and significant impact on employee performance; work motivation has a positive and significant impact on employee performance; compensation has a positive and significant impact on employee performance through work motivation; and work discipline has a negative and negligible impact on employee performance through work motivation.

Abstract

Companies in the mining industry make decisions to determine transfer pricing, the purpose of this study is to examine the role of effective tax rate (ETR) and tunneling incentives in transfer pricing. All companies listed on the IDX for the mining sector from 2019 to 2021 make up the population of this study. This study uses a quantitative method, which relies on numerical data. A total of 12 companies were sampled for this study, over 4 years. The analysis in this study found that neither the effective tax rate nor the tunnelling incentive had any influence on the decisions made regarding the determination of transfer pricing.

Abstract

This study explores bandwidth management on WLAN networks using Hierarchical Token Bucket (HTB) and Per Connection Queue (PCQ) methods to optimize Quality of Service (QoS). With the growing role of IT in both business and public sectors and increasing WLAN access, effective bandwidth management has become crucial to prevent certain users from monopolizing bandwidth for upload or download activities. The research involves data collection through observation and literature review, designing a network topology, implementing bandwidth management using HTB and PCQ, and analyzing performance with QoS parameters: throughput, delay, jitter, and packet loss. The results show that the HTB method achieves an average throughput of 97%, a delay of 98 ms, a jitter of 77 ms, and no packet loss, making it ideal for networks requiring priority-based bandwidth allocation for performance-sensitive applications. In contrast, the PCQ method yields an average throughput of 93.5%, a delay of 217 ms, a jitter of 55 ms, and no packet loss, which is better suited for evenly distributing bandwidth among users. Thus, HTB is recommended for priority-based networks, while PCQ supports fair bandwidth distribution across users.

Abstract

This study aims to test whether accounting profit, operating cash flow, return on equity and dividends affect the volume of stock trading in mining companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the period of 2020-2023. The sampling technique uses purposive sampling of 21 companies that meet the criteria. The method uses multiple linear regression analysis with the SPSS program. The results of the study show that partially operating cash flow and dividends have an influence on stock trading volume. Meanwhile, accounting profit and return on equity have a significant effect but show a negative influence on stock trading volume. Simultaneously, the results of the study stated that accounting profit, operating cash flow, return on equity and dividends have an effect on stock trading volume.

Abstract

The North Natuna Sea is one of the most strategic seas in Indonesia. However, the plundering of marine resources by countries nearby poses a serious threat to Indonesia’s maritime security. This article discusses the maritime geopolitical strategy to counter the looting of marine resources. In the North Natuna Sea. This research uses a qualitative approach using a literature study. The findings show the importance of maritime boundary analysis as the first step to tackle the looting marine resources, particularly through illegal fishing. Maritime patrol and surveillance, maritime cooperation and diplomacy, and raising maritime awareness as a strategy maritime geopolitics in countering the looting marine resources in the North Natuna Sea. In addition to that, strengthening the maritime economy also needs improved to realize prosperity the community from engaging in activities looting of these marine resources.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are vital to Indonesia's economy, especially in regions like Malang City. This study explores the influence of capital, training, and motivation provided by BAZNAS Microfinance on MSME development. Utilizing a quantitative research approach, the findings indicate that access to low-interest loans significantly enhances production capacity and operational management. Additionally, training programs improve technical skills and digital marketing capabilities, fostering collaboration and competitive advantage among MSMEs. Furthermore, motivational support encourages entrepreneurial resilience and long-term growth. The research concludes that the integration of capital, training, and motivation is crucial for the sustainable development of MSMEs. Recommendations include enhancing training quality, streamlining capital access, and offering personalized motivational support to entrepreneurs.

Abstract

Biocomposites, made from an epoxy matrix and pandan fibre, offer a biodegradable alternative to plastic. Fabricated through manual layer lay-up, the material underwent stress propagation analysis using SolidWorks simulation and automotive testing. Results indicate that failure occurs in pure tension when stress exceeds 60% of the flexural strength (1.2 MPa) due to longitudinal fibre rupture. With a Young's modulus of 2×10¹⁰ N/m², tensile strength of 13.6 MPa, and Poisson's ratio of 0.31, the material exhibited safe performance under loads nearly four times its capacity. The factor of safety, while as low as 0.5 in critical areas, confirms t

Abstract

Research at PT Karya Kasih Sentosa aims to analyze the effect of work relationships and work environment on employee performance, both in the office and the field. Using an associative quantitative approach, this research was conducted from March to May 2023 by collecting data through questionnaires filled out by 30 respondents. The analysis shows that the variables of work relationship (X1) and work environment (X2) each have a positive and significant influence on employee performance, with t-count values of 5.430 and 2.343, both of which are greater than the t-table of 1.703. The simultaneous regression results state that the equation of the influence of the two variables is Y = 1.086 + 0.663 X1 + 0.269 X2, with an F-count value of 46.873 which is greater than the F-table of 3.37. The coefficient of determination of 0.776 shows that work relations and the work environment together affect employee performance by 77.6%.

Abstract

This study examines how implementing artificial intelligence (AI) in human resource management (HR) impacts employee engagement and operational efficiency. By automating tasks like data management, scheduling, and payroll, AI enables HR teams to focus on strategic initiatives such as talent management and culture development. Using a descriptive qualitative approach and literature review, the research finds that AI adoption improves operational efficiency by 30% and enhances employee engagement through personalized experiences and real-time feedback. Additionally, AI supports better strategic decision-making with predictive employee data analysis. However, challenges include employee resistance and the need for HR retraining. For optimal results, companies should strengthen internal communication and establish supportive policies that enhance engagement and well-being through AI integration.

Abstract

Urodynamics plays a vital role during the pre-transplant evaluation of potential kidney transplant recipients. This evaluation is useful in diagnosing existing urologic conditions and increasing the success rate of the transplantation through proactive management that can reduce the risk of long-term complications. This paper explains the role of urodynamics prior to kidney transplantation (KT) by elaborating on the rationalization of testing on the potential KT recipients. In addition, it reviews some recommendations from recent studies. Until now, scholars still seek an agreement regarding the criteria of patients that must perform a formal urological evaluation using urodynamics before undergoing a transplant. Studies reported mixed results regarding the criteria, although they generally advocated its usage. Nevertheless, introducing patients with a risk score for urological problems can be an alternative to grouping them before performing urodynamics. This step enables medical staff to group and prioritize patients who need in-depth urological evaluation using urodynamics.
