Abstract

Quality implementation in madrasah still faces various challenges, such as inequality of quality between madrasah, weak monitoring systems, and limited resources. This research aims to analyze theoretical concepts regarding quality control of education and examine how it is applied in madrasah. Using the motto of literature research, this article examines the main literature related to education quality management, academic supervision, and quality improvement strategies in Islamic educational institutions. The results of the study show that effective quality control strategies in madrasah include quality planning based on the institution's vision-mission, the implementation of academic supervision to improve teacher professionalism, and data-based monitoring through digital systems such as e-Madrasah Work Plans and Budgets, Education Management Information System, and  the Ministry of Religion's Educator and Education Personnel Management Information System. On the other hand, challenges such as the administrative burden of teachers, resistance to change, and budget constraints are still major obstacles. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen the managerial capacity of madrasah heads, integrate information technology in quality monitoring, and develop a teacher learning community as part of the madrasah quality culture.

Abstract

Person–organization fit is commonly understood as the degree to which an organization’s values align with those held by individuals. This alignment is shaped not only by shared values, but also by similarities in personality and compatibility with colleagues. On the other hand, job embeddedness represents a comprehensive collection of factors that determine whether an employee remains in a role or decides to leave. Researchers typically evaluate this construct across three interrelated dimensions: fit, link, and sacrifice. Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) belongs to the broader field of organizational behavior, focusing on discretionary actions that are neither explicitly defined nor formally rewarded. One way to view OCB sees it as extra-role performance—activities that fall outside the boundaries of the job description. Alternatively, it can be seen through a political or philosophical lens, framing OCB as akin to citizenship within an organization. In both interpretations, OCB reflects an employee’s personal convictions or perceptions of an unwritten psychological contract with the organization, motivating them to contribute beyond their formal duties. In this study, OCB is measured using a multifaceted set of indicators, including helping behavior, organizational compliance, sportsmanship, loyalty, individual initiative, social quality, and self-development. To explore how person–organization fit and job embeddedness influence OCB, we employed PLS (Partial Least Squares) path modeling using SmartPLS 3.0, yielding a comprehensive path diagram of the interrelationships among these variables. Our validity analysis revealed that all indicators for person–organization fit, job embeddedness, and OCB achieved factor loadings above 0.7, confirming their relevance in measuring each respective construct. Additionally, convergent validity was supported by AVE values exceeding 0.5 for all variables. Reliability assessments showed Cronbach’s Alpha scores above 0.6 and Composite Reliability values above 0.7, indicating stable and consistent measurement frameworks.Structural model results indicated that person–organization fit and job embeddedness together explained 15.3% of the variance in OCB (R² = 0.153), suggesting that the majority of variance is accounted for by other factors. Nevertheless, hypothesis testing confirmed that both person–organization fit and job embeddedness significantly influence OCB among PLN employees (p < 0.05), underscoring their important—but partial—role in predicting extra-role, citizenship behavior in organizational settings.

This study used a classroom action research method over two cycles with the second semester students of Institute of Health and Technology, Ika Bina Labuhan Batu. Initially, students showed weak writing ability (average score: 52.1). After introducing the video of social phenomenon by YouTube, there was a significant increase in learning outcomes—scores rose to 74.4 in the first cycle and 85.3 in the second. The use of audiovisual media made learning more engaging, increased student participation, and improved coherence, diction, and grammar in writing. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the translation method of Dido's song lyrics“White Flag” by using Peter Newmark's translation theory. In this theory, there are eight translation strategies, but this study focuses on three main strategies, namely semantic, faithful, and communicative translation. Five song lyric data were selected to be analyzed based on the application of these three strategies. Semantic translation emphasizes faithfulness to the original meaning of the source text, faithful translation emphasizes more on maintaining the structure and style of the original language, while communicative translation focuses on adaptation so that the message can be understood by the target audience. The research approach is descriptive qualitative, by analyzing the lyric data translated through the three strategies. The result of the research shows that faithful translation is a method that is often used in translating the lyrics of the song “White Flag”. This can be seen in the attempt to maintain the structure, style, and emotional nuances of the original lyrics. However, semantic and semantic and communicative strategies are also used in certain parts to ensure the meaning of the lyrics is maintained and relevant to Indonesian-speaking listeners. This research contributes to understanding of the application of Newmark's theory in the translation of song lyrics and provides insights into how faithfulness to the source text can be prioritized in the translation of musical literature.

Abstract

This article examines the framing strategy in the digital campaign “Stop Judi Ya Guys” conducted by Mobile Legends influencers in response to the spread of online gambling in the digital space of young people. The urgency of this study lies in the massive normalization of online gambling in digital entertainment media and the weak digital literacy of the younger generation, which allows the infiltration of deviant values through gaming and live streaming platforms. This research employs a qualitative method with a virtual ethnographic approach to explore the construction of narratives and public responses to the campaign. Data collection techniques include observing digital content on YouTube, conducting in-depth interviews with influencers, their followers, and digital communication experts. Data analysis uses the Miles, Huberman, and Saldana model, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and verification. Data validity was tested through source triangulation and expert triangulation to ensure consistency between the campaign narrative and the digital actions that occurred. The results of the study indicate that the representation of online gambling occurs subtly through symbols, game features, and digital forums, forming a normalization process that is difficult to recognize. Conversely, the digital campaign by influencers uses an organic, contextual, and participatory approach to build a moral counter-narrative. The discussion emphasizes the importance of framing and innovation diffusion as social intervention strategies within digital communities. In conclusion, the strength of digital campaigns lies in integrating values into the daily digital lives of audiences through familiar, emotional, and participatory communication styles.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the types of speech acts used in the everyday communication of students from the Accounting Department at Politeknik Unggul LP3M. A qualitative descriptive method was employed, utilizing documentation and participatory observation techniques on students' oral and written communication practices. The data, consisting of 80 utterances, were classified according to Searle’s five types of speech acts: representative, directive, expressive, commissive, and declarative. The results indicate that directive and representative speech acts are the most dominant, reflecting the function of communication as a means of sharing information and requesting assistance in academic settings. This study recommends strengthening students' pragmatic competence to enhance the effectiveness of academic and social communication.
