Abstract

There are several problems found in this research, such the material used by teacher was not related to the major, textbook for students was not provide the material related to their major, and the material only taken from the internet by teacher randomly. This research is research and development which uses the theory of Sugiyono. The stages in this development are research, developing, validation, and testing. The subjects in this study were 36 students from the tenth grade of Computer and Network Engineering. The need analysis shows, students want to learn reading material that is related to their major and useful when they work after graduation. For validation by expert, the English reading material is categorized as "Very Valid" with the percentage score obtained is 83%. The practical results that have been given to teacher and students, the English reading material is categorized as "Very Practice" with score 92%. And the last, the effectiveness of the English reading material is effective, it gets a significant value of 0.00 which is <0.05,it means that the English reading material is effective. So overall, the developing of English reading material is accordance with the needs of students majoring in computer and network engineering.

Abstract

Ruang kelas karakter yang berpengaruh untuk mencapai keberhasilan dalam menciptakan ruang kelas karakter, ruang kelas karakter membutuhkan peran guru di dalamnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pentingnya menciptakan ruang kelas berkarakter guna memberikan stimulasi bagi implementasi nilai-nilai karakter siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam artikel ilmiah ini ialah studi literatur melalui jurnal-jurnal imiah serta buku-buku. Penelitian dilakukan dengan mengkaji dan membandingkan sumber literatur untuk mendapatkan data teoritis. Hasil penelitian ini pendidik diharapkan mampu menciptakan lingkungan kelas yang dapat memberikan stimulasi bagi implementasi nilai-nilai karakter siswa, oleh karena itu, pendidik harus menciptakan lingkungan kelas yang berkarakter.

Abstract

This research was conducted since there were many problems that occur in students’ self regulation in studying English. The first problem is there were some of students had good self regulation in learning English, prepared well before learning, active in learning, pay attention when the teacher explained, and did the assignment that was given by the teacher. However the students’ English achievement was still low from standardization of minimum criteria. It means the some students have good self regulation, but low in English achievement. Second, some students did not have good self regulation in learning English, but their English achievements are good in. The students did not actively engaged in learnimg, they did not pay attention when the teacher explained the lesson, and they did not read the material before studying English, but their achievement in English were are good from standardization of minimum criteria. It means the students are low in self regulation, but their English achievements are good. This research aimed to know whether there is correlation between students’ self regulation and students’ English learning achievement in studying English.The design of this research was correlation research. Then, the instruments that used in this research were questionnaire for measuring students’ self-regulation and documentation in the form of the students’ mid-semester English test scores for measuring the students’ English learning achievement. The population of this research was all of the eleventh grade students of MAS-TI Candung in the academic year of 2021/2022 which consists of 5 classes. The sample was 30 students taken by simple random sampling technique. To find that self-regulation and English learning achievement have correlation or not, the researcher used Pearson Product Moment Correlation Coefficient. The finding of this research revealed that the coefficient (ρ) between students’ self-regulation and students’ English learning achievement was 0.690. It means, there is high correlation between students’ self-regulation and students’ English learning achievement. In other words, based on hypothesis testing, the t-score was 0.690 and t-table on α = 0.05 was 0.361. It means the t-score was higher than t-table. Hence, Ha was accepted and Ho was rejected which stated that there is a significant correlation between students’ self-regulation and students’ English learning achievement.

Abstract

Bullying merupakan salah satu dari aspek yang memunculkan kecenderungan emosional. Salah satu akibat dari bullying itu hingga terbentuklah bermacam berbagai wujud emosi pada anak baik kepada bullying ataupun juga korban( victim). Dengan strategi riset ialah riset permasalahan ini yang bertujuan buat mendapatkan data tentang wujud emosi Bullying serta korban( Victim) dalam wujud tingkah laku siswa. Bersumber pada hasil riset ini wujud emosi yang ditimbulkan sikap bullying ialah awal mulanya pelakon mempunyai ciri mau menampilkan dirinya serta memperoleh atensi orang lain, tetapi kala sang pelakon memandang sahabat nya yang mempunyai keahlian lebih dari ia hingga wujud emosi yang di timbulkan nya merupakan benci. Rasa benci yang di timbulkan tersebut malah menyakiti serta menimbulkan sikap Bullying. Begitu pula kebalikannya seseorang sahabat yang sebelumnya di bully( Victim) mempunyai ciri temperamen yang besar serta keras kepala, sehingga wujud emosi yang di timbulkan merupakan kasar, impulsif serta keinginan buat balas dendam kepada sahabat yang menyakitinya. Buat menindak lanjuti wujud emosi Sikap Bullying serta korban( Victim) hingga memerlukan kedudukan Guru Tutorial Konseling di sekolah. Guru Bk wajib membuat program layanan tentang menghindari terbentuknya Bullying di sekolah, semacam layanan tutorial kelompok, konseling kelompok, tutorial klasikal dan membagikan tutorial individual kepada sikap ataupun juga korban yang ikut serta permasalahan Bullying. Guru BK pula bisa memakai kecanggihan tekhnologi buat melaksanakan program semacam memakai media vidio- vidio animasi yang berkaitan dengan bullying dan membagikan akibat yang di timbulkan dari sikap bullying maupun korban( Victim).

Abstract

Teaching reading to the English learners is an essential skill to teach. It is required a typical way of teaching by selecting such an exciting instructional. Many ways might be used to do. One of them is by using an outstanding local folktale. However, the current reality showed that most of the students’ skill of reading were very low. It was proved by lack of students’ participation when they responded the topic of the lesson taught. In line with this problem, the purpose of this research was to determine the students’ perception on teacher’s teaching reading through local folktale. This research was a descriptive qualitative research. To sum up the finding of obtained data from those instrumets, the use of local folktale in teaching reading was in good response. The open questionaire indicated that there was 13.33% strongly agreed, 33.33% agreed, 27.85 was anxious of the application of local folktale, 20.71% disagreed and 4.76% strongly diagreed. It was also supported by interview result with the respondents. Viewing the overall result, it could be concluded that local folktale was welcomed well by the students as one of straategies to teach reading.

Abstract

The background of this research was found in students of SMP N II Tondano Class VII E who had learning difficulties in learning mathematics on one variable linear equation material through an online learning system. These problems make researchers interested in studying this research further. This study aims to determine the difficulties experienced by students in learning mathematics in PLSV material through an online learning system. This type of research is qualitative research. The data was obtained by giving a story problem description test and conducting student interviews. The research instrument was to provide the story and several interview questions for students online. The study results show that in learning mathematics in PLSV material through an online learning system, students experience difficulties memorizing equation formulas, and arithmetic operations, changing questions into mathematical forms, and difficulties understanding the material provided by the teacher. These problems are caused by 1) lack of interest and motivation in student learning, 2) not having a severe attitude in participating in online learning, 3) student concentration does not focus on learning material

Abstract

Education always develops along with the times. Thus there are changes in curriculum policies that are always changing according to the times. Curriculum is the essence of the learning process in an educational institution. With changes to the curriculum, a process is needed that involves the entire community in an educational institution. Indonesia has experienced several curriculum changes, including the curriculum in 1947, 1952, 1964, 1968, 1975, 1984, 1994, 2004, 2006, 2013 and the independent curriculum. Future education needs to be designed to answer the expectations and challenges of changes that occur. The education system needs to be built continuously from preschool education, basic education, secondary education and higher education. The method used in this study is literature study, namely research that uses material sourced from journals related to education, especially in the curriculum

Abstract

Education is one of the important things that can affect the progress of a country. The school building is an essential part of organizing teaching and learning activities. Routine care and maintenance can maintain the quality of school buildings, so they can be used safely and comfortably. Development uses funds provided by the regional government and the central government in the form of special allocation funds (DAK). Seeing how the quality of educational infrastructure is one of the problems of education in Indonesia. While the quality of education infrastructure in Indonesia is still considered low, the renovation of school buildings has increased students' enthusiasm for learning. Indonesian children have a high enthusiasm for learning, therefore we should not let their enthusiasm and smiles fade from their faces just because the development of education in Indonesia is uneven.

Abstract

Education is an investment for the creation of quality Human Resources (HR). Through education, one can easily increase one's potential so that one can improve one's life in a better direction. Various efforts have been made by the Government to improve the quality and equity of education. One of the efforts is by holding a 12-year compulsory education program. The policy of the 12 year compulsory education program is expected to be able to succeed and improve the quality of human life. Writing this article using descriptive method and literature study. This research states that the 12-year compulsory education program in Indonesia has not run optimally. There are still areas that have not been able to implement the 12-year compulsory education program. As in Bogor district, which has not maximized the 12-year compulsory education program due to conditions that do not support access to education. Even so, the government continues to strive for this program to be realized properly. The government is trying to make strategies or steps that are expected to anticipate problems in education in Indonesia. This is evidenced by the success of the 12-year compulsory education program in Lampung, namely the large number of Lampung people who have successfully carried out education for 12 years, the large number of schools built in the city and in the interior as well as the participation of the Lampung people who support the implementation of this program..

Abstract

English lessons are very important for students, but most vocational students think that these subjects, especially in Compiling Recount Text material, are boring and very difficult. The purpose of this research is to improve student learning outcomes in compiling recount text using serial picture media. This research is a class action research with a total of 32 students in class X Mechanical Engineering at SMK Negeri 1 Cibeber, Lebak Regency, for the 2020/2021 academic year, all of whom are male. Based on the analysis in each cycle, it shows that the use of serial picture media can improve student learning outcomes in recount text material. This can be seen from the increase in the average student score and the large increase in the percentage of students who achieve the KKM score in each cycle.
