Abstract

The city of Bandung is one of the cities that is prone to earthquakes because it is passed by the Lembang fault. Therefore, buildings in the city of Bandung should have implemented the concept of earthquake-resistant buildings in their construction. To avoid the occurrence of damage or collapse of the structure of the building against an earthquake, it is necessary to analyze the building against the earthquake. This study aims to determine how many deviations occur in the building due to the earthquake and the performance of the building structure. The method used is the response spectrum and time history analysis method and then evaluates the performance of the structure against earthquakes using the ATC-40 standard. The building that is the case study is the Directorate of Drugs and the Directorate of Intelligence and Security for the West Java Police, which consists of 5 floors. Structural modeling and analysis were performed using ETABS v20. Earthquake records used are Imperial Valley, Kobe and Trinidad earthquakes. Based on the results of the analysis of the maximum deviation with the response spectrum method 26.74 mm in the X direction and 26.46 mm in the Y direction. Meanwhile, for the time history analysis, it was obtained 33.05 mm in the X direction and 28.96 in the Y direction. The maximum value of the total deviation obtained 0.0016 m and the maximum value of inelastic deviation obtained 0.0014 m so that it shows the level of performance of this building structure based on ATC-40 is Immediate Occupancy (IO), which means the structure is in a safe condition. Keywords : ATC-40, earthquake resistant buildings, spectrum response, time history,

Abstract

In building and road works, the calculation of excavation and embankment volumes is an engineering survey activity. Longitudinal and transverse profile drawings describe the relief of the ground surface in road works and are the basis for calculating the volume and position of excavations and embankments. Volume calculation is very important in highway construction because it can affect the amount of cost that will be obtained. The material volume calculation process uses various methods. The existing conditions of the tuban ring road are currently under construction and the volume calculation process still uses manual calculations. This research aims to calculate the volume of excavation by utilizing survey data processing applications on winding roads whose results will be compared with the volume of manual calculation results as data that is considered correct. The volume calculation analysis uses the ASTM tolerance test standard deviation with a tolerance limit of 2.78% as a condition of volume calculation accuracy. Based on the results of the standard deviation in the fill calculation, the average cross-section method is 2,665 m3 compared to the prismoidal method which is worth 4,001 m3 and composite volume with a value of 15,530 m3. In the fill calculation, the prismodial method has the smallest average standard deviation of 6.897 m3 compared to the average cross-section method of 12.611 m3 and the composite volume method of 19.777 m3. In the ASTM tolerance test with a tolerance value of 2.78% there is a volume calculation that does not meet the tolerance standards in the composite volume method with the largest difference in the calculation of cut and fill bend 3 with a difference of 3.998% cut and 16.277% fill and the smallest difference in the calculation of cut and fill bend 2 with a difference of 0.506% cut and 2.618% fill. The average cross-section method has better accuracy when applied to road bends, especially bends 1, 3, and 4 when compared to the results of the composite volume method. The prismoidal method has better accuracy when applied to road bends with bend-like characteristics. Keywords: Composite volume, Penampang Rata- Rata, Prismoidal, , Volume cut, Volume fill

Abstract

A point positioning activity can be referred to as mapping. In mapping activities there is the term control framework point. One of the classification of control points is the horizontal control point. In mapping activities there is a minimum order of control points that can be used, that was horizontal control points order-4. The measurement of horizontal control points order-4 can be done by conventional survey methods using terrestrial method or using global positioning system technology. The development of global positioning system (GPS) technology has progressed very fast. One of the evidence of the development of GPS technology is where introduced of various instruments that exist today. Lowcost GPS is one type of GPS that has advantages in terms of more lower prices. The application of lowcost gps is expected to help in mapping activities. In this reserch, a feasibility analysis of lowcost GPS OEM Board K-708 and GPS Tersus BX-316as instruments in the measurement of horizontal control frame order-4 when compared with Geodetic GPS instruments. The analysis used in this study is standard deviation analysis and hypothesis testing using T-test. From the results of analysis conducted resulted in the accuracy of the instrument shown from the value of standard deviation that reached sub "cm", where the instrument GPS OEM Board K-708 has better standard deviation than GPS Tersus BX-316. From the results of hypothesis testing using T-Test showed no significant difference from each of the data, so it can be concluded that the instruments in this reserch are worthy of the use in the measurement of horizontal control framework order-4. Keywords: GPS Lowcost, Jaring Kontrol Horizontal Orde-4, Standar Deviasi, Uji-T

Abstract

The Cileungsi – Cibeet road section is one of the provincial road sections that is passed by quite dense vehicles, is passed by sand and stone quarrying, and is close to a cement factory. Based on health data, several districts around this road segment are affected by respiratory diseases. The research objective was to examine the correlation between traffic jams and air pollution levels, to find the causes of air pollution. The results of the study, the Cileungsi - Cibeet road section has an uneven degree of traffic saturation (DS). Degree of Traffic Saturation at the start of the segment (Sta. 0+000) with a value of 1.06, poor service conditions, vehicles running slowly and tend to get stuck and walk on the shoulder of the road. At Sta. 6+700 (Cibarusah junction), poor service conditions, vehicles running with lots of obstacles. Gradually approaching the end of the segment (Cibeet) the level of road service is getting better with a value of 0.68. Air pollution caused by motorized vehicles consists of CO, Pb, and TSP gases. The highest carbon monoxide (CO) gas is at Sta. 0+000 which is 4,938 μg/Nm³ but still below the quality standard. This is the same as White Lead (Pb), which is also the highest at location 1 Sta. 0+000 which is 0.14 μg/Nm³ but still below the air quality standards. In contrast, the highest dust (TSP) is at location 3 (Sta 21+200), namely 342 μg/Nm³ which is above the air quality standards. The correlation between traffic jams and air pollution due to vehicle emissions from CO, Pb, and TSP gases has a different value. The correlation coefficient (r) between traffic density and CO is equal to 0.949, meaning that it has a very strong correlation. While the correlation coefficient (r) between traffic density and CO is equal to 0.874, it means that the correlation is very strong. Unlike the case with TSP gas (dust) has a correlation coefficient (r) - 0.120, giving a negative correlation. The results of this study indicate that on the Cileungsi - Cibeet road section the higher the level of road service, the greater the levels of Carbon Monoxide (CO) and Lead (Pb). As for dust (Total Suspend Particulate/TSP), an increase in the level of road service does not show an increase in dust levels. Keywords: Correlation, Degree Of Saturation, Traffic Congestion, Vehicle Emissions

Abstract

The Faculty of Engineering building is one of the science faculties at Pattimura University which consists of three floors. There is currently no evacuation route in the Engineering Faculty building that shows an exit or path to a safe place. This building experienced an earthquake so this caused panic among the building's occupants when they wanted to save themselves. Therefore, the Faculty of Engineering building needs to plan evacuation routes and gathering points to anticipate if a disaster occurs. Evacuation routes are very important in multi-storey buildings, especially during disasters such as earthquakes and fires. Having an evacuation route can prevent building occupants from scattering but can position them to go through and see the information on the evacuation display to get to the assembly point quickly and reduce the number of victims caused by panic when a disaster occurs. The aim of this research is to find out the shortest distance from the evacuation route for each floor to the gathering point and to find out the shortest distance from the temporary gathering point to the final gathering point using the Dijkstra algorithm. The research method used in this research is the Dijkstra algorithm method. From the results of research that has been carried out using distance calculations and measurements as well as marking evacuation route displays, the shortest distance on the first floor is obtained: 12.5 m, the shortest distance on the second floor: 35.4 m, the shortest distance on the third floor: 46.5 m, to get to the gathering point (assembly point

Abstract

Suspension bridges, as one type of vital infrastructure with long spans, often withstand challenges in the form of dynamic vibrations caused by pedestrian loads, vehicles, wind, or earthquakes. These vibrations can cause problems ranging from discomfort to structural damage. One effective solution to reduce these vibrations is to use a Tuned Mass Damper (TMD). TMD is a passive device designed to reduce dynamic response by adjusting the mass, springs, and dampers, thereby increasing the stability and performance of the bridge. This paper uses a literature study method with the aim of analyzing the TMD reduction system on the dynamic response of suspension bridge structures and to determine the efficient device parameters for reducing the dynamic response of the structure. Through theoretical understanding and literature studies, it is obtained that TMD can significantly increase the damping ratio of the structure, although its performance is highly dependent on design parameters such as mass ratio, tuning frequency, and damping ratio. Parameter analysis shows that increasing the distance factor significantly improves the local performance of TMD, TMD tuning errors can significantly reduce its effectiveness so that there is an analysis of the effectiveness of each parameter. Abstract

The rapid growth of urbanization drives the rapid physical growth of cities to stabilize the balance between needs and population growth. The construction industry plays a crucial role in the physical development of cities by building infrastructure. However, there are challenges in infrastructure development, one of which is waste. The lean approach enhances value for customers by eliminating waste in processes and resources. This study aims to identify and analyze the factors that prevent waste in supply chain management in construction projects and to evaluate the influence of these variables on the implementation of LSCM. The research method used in this study is quantitative, with data collected through a questionnaire distributed to 53 respondents involved in supply chain management, including contractors and consultants. The data obtained were processed using IBM SPSS version 29.0 for multiple linear regression analysis. The analysis results indicate that the variables of Operations and Purchasing and Procurement have a significant impact on the implementation of LSCM in reducing waste, with Asymp. Sig. values of 0.033 and 0.003, respectively. Meanwhile, the variables of Integration, Distribution, and Logistics did not show a significant impact. The F-test indicates that simultaneously, all independent variables significantly affect the dependent variable, with a calculated F value of 12.323. The R-squared value obtained is 0.507, indicating that 50.7% of the variation in the implementation of LSCM can be explained by the independent variables studied. Keywords: Construction, Lean Thinking, Supply Chain Management, Sustainable Development, Waste

Abstract

The choice of transportation mode on the Cianjur-Sukabumi route is influenced by various factors, including travel costs, travel time, comfort, accessibility, and personal preferences. This study aims to analyze the factors affecting passengers’ decisions when choosing between trains and buses and to identify the dominant mode used. This research employs a quantitative survey method, collecting data through questionnaires from 174 respondents. Additionally, direct observations were conducted to assess the actual service conditions of both transport modes. The data were analyzed using the Binary Logit Difference Model and the Binary Logit Ratio Model to measure the probability of mode selection based on influencing independent variables.  he findings reveal that most respondents prefer trains (56.9%) over buses (43.1%). The primary reason for choosing trains is the lower travel cost (36.4%), while bus users prioritize comfort and flexible departure schedules (38.7%). The Binary Logit Difference Model analysis indicates that as the cost gap between trains and buses increases, the likelihood of choosing the train also rises. Meanwhile, the Binary Logit Ratio Model demonstrates a positive correlation between the cost ratio and the probability of mode selection. These findings provide valuable insights for policymakers and transport operators to enhance public transportation services. Recommendations include optimizing train schedules, improving bus comfort facilities, and adjusting fares to remain competitive. Understanding passenger preferences can help implement more effective transport policies and improve service quality on the Cianjur-Sukabumi route.  Keywords: Binary Logit, Bus, Cianjur-Sukabumi, Quantitative Analysis, Train, Transportation Mode Choice.
