Abstract

One of the formal educational institutions is Madrasah Tsanawiyah which is based on Islamic values ​​at junior high school level. Madrasah Tsanawiyah At-Taqwa is located in Suren village, Ledokombo subdistrict, Jember Regency, which is a partner problem, namely poor learning effectiveness and lack of support for the desired learning process. The aim of this service is to apply a learning method, namely the Direct Method, to improve effective student learning. Observation, interviews and documentation are data collection techniques carried out in this service. The result of this service is the application of the Direct Method in the student learning process, namely by directly practicing vocabulary in Arabic and conversations using Arabic at the At-Taqwa Tsanawiyah Madrasah, Suren village, Ledokombo subdistrict, Jember. For the inhibiting factor in implementing this method is the lack of vocabulary which is not yet mastered by many Madrasah Tsanawiyah At-Taqwa students. One solution to minimize these obstacles is by providing learning media, especially in the language sector.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan santri TPQ Abdul Qadir di Desa Duri, Slahung, Ponorogo, dalam mempelajari tajwid. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah pendekatan Asset Based Community-driven Development (ABCD). Melalui pendekatan ABCD ini, tim pengabdian memberikan kegiatan pengenalan dan pembelajaran terhadap santri TPQ Abdul Qadir dengan metode sorogan. Metode sorogan ini menerapkan sistem belajar dimana setiap santri maju satu per satu untuk membaca dan menguraikan isi kitab di hadapan seorang guru. Pada TPQ Abdul Qadir ini dibagi menjadi tiga jenjang yaitu jenjang iqro’ 1-3 yang berfokus pada pengenalan huruf hijaiah dan persiapan pengenalan tajwid, lalu jenjang iqro’ 4-6 yakni pengenalan tajwid untuk para santri, dan jenjang Al-Qur’an yang berfokus pada pengenalan tajwid lanjutan melalui pengoreksian dari tim pengabdian terhadap bacaan yang disetorkan oleh para santri. Hasil dari penggunaan metode sorogan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan santri dalam membaca Al-Qur'an menunjukkan adanya peningkatan, dimana mereka menguasai bacaan sesuai dengan tajwidnya dan mengetahui bagaimana cara membaca Al-Qur'an dengan baik dan benar.

Abstract

Pada kurikulum merdeka kebutuhan dan karakteristik yang unik dari peserta didik menjadi titik sentral dalam penyelenggaraan pendidikan. Oleh karena itu diperlukan disain pembelajaran yang dapat mengakomodasi keunikan tersebut. Pembelajaran yang mampu menampung kebutuhan tersebut adalah pembelajaran terdiferensiasi. Agar pembelajaran dapat optimal diperlukan asesmen awal pembelajaran yang tepat. Kegiatan lokakarya ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan bagi pendidik untuk merancang pembelajaran dan melaksanakan asesmen awal pembelajaran. Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh 10 kepala sekolah, 20 guru kelas dan 3 pengawas dari satuan pendidikan jenjang sekolah dasar. Hasil kegiatan ini terdapat peningkatan pemahaman dan keterampilan peserta dalam merancang pembelajaran terdiferensiasi dan penyelenggaraan asesmen awal pembelajaran. Kegiatan ini sangat bermanfaat bagi guru, kepala sekolah dan pengawas untuk mengimplementasikan kurikulum merdeka pada aspek pembelajaran terdiferensiasi dan asesmen awal pembelajaran

Abstract

Adolescence is a transition period from childhood to adulthood, marked by physical, psychological and psychosocial changes (Dieny, 2014). According to Basic Health Research (Riskesdas) in 2018, the prevalence of anemia in adolescent girls was 32%. Fulfilling nutritional needs during adolescence would maximize the reproductive organs function which will lead to a better conception result. This community service was carried out in December 2022 at the Maqnaul Ulum Islamic Boarding School, Jember. This community service was carried out because of the anemia cases in teenagers is quite high. The method used in community service is examining Hb (Haemoglobin) levels in every young woman in Islamic boarding schools. The examination results of the hemoglobin levels female students showed that 10 female students had anemia, 31 female students did not have anemia. Through this Hb examination, it is expected that teenagers can prevent anemia and avoid other health problems that occur in teenagers

Abstract

In Indonesia, stunting is also an urgent public health problem. This study identified several main factors that contribute to stunting, such as family income, exclusive breastfeeding practices, parental education, nutritional knowledge, food access, and complementary feeding practices. Awareness and appropriate action from the community is very important in preventing stunting. The aim of the implementation activities in Karang Semanding Hamlet, Sukorejo Village, Bangsalsari District, Jember Regency is to overcome the problem of stunting by providing counseling and assistance to pregnant women and toddlers who are members of the Family Hope Program (PKH). The training was attended by 25 PKH members. The results of the activity showed that there was an increase in members' knowledge about stunting and stunting prevention, who initially did not understand, now they understood. It is hoped that future activities can apply stunting prevention methods to improve health and reduce stunting rates. Therefore, it is hoped that education and counseling about stunting will be key in efforts to overcome this problem and improve the quality of life for children in the future.

Abstract

Candijati adalah wilayah pedesaan yang tercakup dalam Kecamatan Arjasa. Mata pencaharian penduduk juga beragam. Ada beberapa home industry tempe yang juga dikembangkan oleh penduduk sekitar. Banyaknya limbah home industry tempe masih belum termanfaatkan dengan baik, dan biasanya limbah dari home industry dibuang begitu saja atau dimanfaatkan untuk minuman ternak. Solusi yang dilakukan untuk mengurangi potensi limbah home industry terhadap lingkungan sekitar yaitu dengan pembuatan MOL berbahan dasar limbah rebusan tempe. Langkah yang digunakan yaitu metode ceramah dan diskusi. Tujuan pengolahan sisa hasil home industry tempe dapat dijadikan sebagai solusi untuk meminimalkan potensi limbah yang dihasilkan supaya lebih bermanfaat untuk dijadikan pupuk atau nutrisi tanaman yang ramah lingkungan.

Abstract

Understanding balanced nutrition in children and toddlers is the key to success in efforts to prevent nutritional problems (Adriani, Kartika, 2011). Nahdlatul Wathon Elementary School is a private elementary school in the Sumberbaru area, Jember Regency which has the habit of eating lunch together with provisions from each home. From routine learning activities, it is known that the habit pattern that is instilled from the family, especially from the role of mother and family, is that healthy and nutritious food is expensive food. Children's understanding of balanced nutrition has an impact on attitudes and behavior in selecting and providing food ingredients and on children's appetite, so providing education to students about the components of balanced nutrition and providing an understanding that nutritious food is not expensive food is a solution to nutritional problems through activities community service through Balanced Nutrition Education activities using the fill my plate method at Nahdlatul Wathan Elementary School. Balanced nutrition education activities are carried out at the stage of brainstorming by asking questions about what food they consume every day. Then ask about their favorite food. The activity then continues by showing a video of the children's song "My Plate". After observing the video of the contents of my plate, students were invited to sing together. At the end of the activity, share pictures of plates and various side dishes and then ask students to arrange balanced nutrition according to what they understand.

Abstract

Indonesia faces various problems, including those related to waste management. Large amounts of waste have a negative impact on environmental health. Kaliwates Subdistrict has problems related to waste, because residents in this area are still not able to manage waste properly. They still like to throw garbage around the river, even though there is a waste processing site. The service is carried out using the ABCD method. Efforts are being made to minimize the amount of waste by implementing reuse, reduce, and recycle (3R). This service activity can increase public knowledge and awareness to reduce the accumulation of waste, namely through the habit of reusing used bottles, reducing the use of plastic by shopping with bags or baskets from home. In this activity, the community followed and participated enthusiastically so that they began to be aware of implementing 3R in their homes and creating an environment around the river with minimal waste, and creating a healthy environment, and waste having economic value.

Abstract

Based on KPAI's findings, throughout 2021 there were at least 17 cases of bullying in schools, from elementary schools to high schools. This community service method uses an outreach method to partners, namely at SDN Cakru 04, Kencong Jombang District, regarding bullying prevention through several stages. These included a survey of the location of service partners, outreach to students, the Teacher Council and student guardians and the program approach, then this activity was assisted by campus students teaching 6 MBKM Dikti 2023 programs located at SDN 04 Cakru, Kencong District, Jember Regency, totaling 5 students. The task of students is to provide outreach to students and parents regarding bullying prevention. This activity will be carried out for 4 months starting from 4 August 2023 to 4 December 2023. Community service activities include; first, building an Anti-Bullying Culture paradigm in Islam. Second, socialization to parents about good parenting patterns by arranging playing hours and study hours. Third, the Religious Program Approach includes Duha prayers, commemoration of holidays, reading Asmaul Husna.

Abstract

Access to justice and legal certainty for victims of violence against women, especially violence in the domestic sphere, must receive attention. In Jember Regency, the rate of violence against women is still quite high and various efforts are needed to prevent and reduce the occurrence of new violence. One effort to reduce and prevent violence against women is to provide training for paralegals and counselors who are expected to be able to provide advocacy to victims and provide education to the general public. The training method used is a presentation followed by discussion to answer various problems faced by the participants. Overall, it can be concluded that paralegal and counselor training activities for women across ethnicities, tribes and students are running smoothly without significant obstacles. However, training activities are still considered inadequate if they are only carried out once, this is because cases that occur in society experience the development of different forms and modus operandi so that paralegals and counselors need partners to share new experiences and knowledge. Therefore, further training is needed.
