Abstract

The discourse of Islamic education in the era has become daily topics menu ofIslamic thinkers and educatorors. The question deals with the problem onwhether Islamic education has prospects this time, or if Islamic education willgo bankruptcy. Noting the spiritual thirst of modern society, poor guidance, andtheir need to get solution to the various problems of everyday life, the role ofIslamic education is vital. Religion and education are two things that are relatedand complementary. Abstract

The dichotomy of the education system causes a gap between the sourcesof knowledge, between the religious sciences and general sciences. In thebook Integrasi Ilmu: Sebuah Rekonstruksi Holistik, the supporters of thereligious sciences only consider divine source and prophetic tradition asvalid sources and reject the others. On the other hand, secular scientistsonly considered valid information obtained through sensory observation. Therefore, the integration of Islamic education in the national educationsystem is part of the problems. According to the writer, the approachshould be integrated. All legislation and policies made by the government(which appears to lead to the integration) are effort to prepare and realizethe law of “one national education system ", as foreseen by Article 31 of the1945 Constitution. With the enactment of Law No. 2 of 1989 on NationalEducation System, supported by Act No. 20 of 2003 (also on NationalEducation System), the effort of integration of Islamic education into thenational education system has got legal standing

Abstract

This study reviews the scientific approach of Pendidikan Agama Islam dan BudiPekerti Kurikulum 2013, based on scientific paradigm of positivistic, proposedby Auguste Comte. The results of this study reveal that the scientific approachin the curriculum 2013 is done through some steps: to observe, to question, toreason, to associate and to communicate. This scientific approach is relevant tothe positivistic paradigm. The theory stems from the emergence of legal positivismof Law of Three Stages by Auguste Comte. It states that historical developmentof human thought has evolved in three stages, namely theological or fictitious, metaphysical or abstract, and positive or scientific or real. Thus, according tothis approach, if scientific approach is applied in Pendidikan Agama Islam danBudi Pekerti Kurikulum 2013 in the aspect of Aqidah, it becomes less relevant. However, the aspect of jurisprudence, morality, al Quran hadith, and Islamiccultural history, the scientific approach is very appropriate to be applied into thelearning process.
