Abstract

Fish torso props are learning media that can be used to understand the subject about fish morphology and anatomy. The subject is one of the difficulties for students because students' understanding of the concept of the subject is still relatively low. Therefore, the aim of this study is to determine the effect of fish torso tool and the magnitude of the influence they have on student learning outcomes. This study used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method. The samples used in this research were grade X students of the Freshwater Fisheries Agribusiness skills program at SMKN 1 Warunggunung which consisted of two classes that is class X APAT 1 as the control class and class X APAT 2 as the experimental class. The control class will apply learning using Powerpoint media while the experimental class will apply learning using fish torso tool as media. Moreover, the data collection methods used were tests in the form of pretests and posttests, as well as non-tests in the form of observation and documentation. The research results show that the average N-gain scores in the experimental class is 68% while in the control class it was 37%. Therefore, it shows that the fish torso tool has an influence on student learning outcomes. The magnitude of this influence is proven through the effect size test which obtained a value of 1.865. Thus, it can be concluded that the fish torso tools have quite an effective effect on student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Environmental human rights violations have occurred in almost all levels of society. These violations are considered to threaten Indonesian human civilization. In turn, the violated economic, social, and cultural rights, as well as civil and political rights, will be fulfilled and resolved. Human rights to a good, healthy, and balanced environment have not been implemented in environmental management in Indonesia. In relation to the problem of environmental damage, it is important to study human rights from a human rights perspective. The aim is to explain the definition of human rights and environmental rights, how human rights are regulated in Indonesian law and how human rights are considered as rights to a good and healthy environment. The results of the study explain two things. First, humans are part of the ecosystem, where they have a strong relationship with their environment. Given to them by God as humans, the right to a healthy environment is a basic human right. Second, the right to a good and healthy environment has become a norm throughout the world and in the region. Third, although there have been resolutions, covenants, and regulations of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights at the national level, the right to a good and healthy environment is still poorly respected at both the global and national levels. Developed countries contribute significantly to global warming, climate change, and environmental degradation globally, and they also make significant contributions nationally.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the SAVI (Somatic, Auditory, Visualization, and Intellectual) Learning Model in improving student academic performance. The SAVI model combines four key elements—somatic, auditory, visual, and intellectual—allowing students to learn actively and engage fully in the learning process. This approach not only creates variation in teaching methods but also helps students find learning methods that align with their individual learning styles. Through this structured approach, students are given the opportunity to develop their understanding through hands-on experiences, listening to explanations, seeing visual representations, and engaging in critical thinking activities. This research utilizes a literature study method to explore the effectiveness and applications of the SAVI Model. The findings reveal that implementing this model increases student motivation, promotes their engagement in class, and strengthens their understanding of learned concepts. Moreover, the model plays a crucial role in honing students’ critical thinking, communication, and collaboration skills, which are essential competencies for student development in the modern era.

Abstract

This study explores how Artificial Intelligence (AI) is being used in learning English and looks at its benefits and challenges. AI tools like chatbots, personalized learning apps, and language processing software are helping students practice English by giving quick feedback and adapting to each learner's pace. These tools improve skills in speaking, listening, and writing. However, there are still some challenges, such as AI's difficulty understanding cultural situation, limited access to AI in some areas, privacy concerns, and the risk of students relying too much on technology instead of human interactions. This study use literature research to describe AI improve English learning, opportunities and challenges in using AI. This review showed that AI can make the future of English learning, helping teachers, policymakers, and researchers understand both its potential and its limits. By using AI students has great potential to improve language, so It’s important to implement it thoughtfully to ensure it complements traditional teaching and creates an inclusive environment for all students.

Abstract

Learning that focuses on game development is increasingly accepted as an innovative approach to improve students' problem-solving skills, especially in Multimedia Vocational High Schools (SMK). This study aims to investigate the impact of game-based learning on students' problem-solving skills and compare it with traditional learning methods. Through systematic literature analysis, it was found that educational games such as Kahoot!, Quizlet, Minecraft: Education Edition, and Duolingo can not only increase students' motivation but also encourage active engagement in the learning process. Game-based learning provides a platform for students to experience real-world problem-solving scenarios in an interactive and collaborative environment. Furthermore, the creative process involved in game development helps students enhance their critical thinking and technical skills. The results showed that students who engaged in game-based learning development tended to have better problem-solving skills compared to students who used conventional methods. This research emphasizes the importance of game integration in education to maximize students' potential in facing challenges in the working world. It also highlights the need for educators to adapt and innovate teaching methods to align with the demands of the digital era, ensuring that students are well-prepared for future career challenges.

Abstract

This research explores the readiness of lower-grade teachers to implement technology-based diagnostic assessments within the Merdeka Curriculum in Indonesia. The curriculum is designed to support flexible and personalized learning; however, its implementation faces various challenges, including a lack of understanding and preparedness among teachers to apply technology-based diagnostic assessments. The methodology employed is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR), which involves five steps: literature search, screening, quality assessment, synthesis of findings, and conclusion. The research process begins with searching for relevant articles through electronic journals, resulting in 358 articles related to teacher readiness. After the screening phase, only 28 articles were selected for further quality assessment. From this number, 5 articles met the relevance and quality criteria for in-depth analysis. The findings indicate that while teachers possess a basic understanding of diagnostic assessments, they still require additional training to enhance their pedagogical competencies and adopt technology in the learning process. This study emphasizes the importance of more intensive training and resource support to facilitate effective implementation of diagnostic assessments. Consequently, it is hoped that educational quality can improve and students can reach their full potential within the framework of the Merdeka Curriculum. These findings provide valuable insights for educational policymakers to design training programs that meet the needs of teachers in the field.
