Abstract

The Government of the Republic of Indonesia is developing the Batang Integrated Industrial Estate (KIT), a national strategic project in the shape of an industrial park. A particularly vital industrial region, the Batang Integrated Industrial Estate (KIT) is situated in the northern economic corridor of Java and has access to the Trans Java Toll Road, the rail network, as well as nearby dry ports and port facilities. In order to connect the roads in the Batang Integrated Industrial Estate (KIT) with district roads and national roads or North Coast roads (Pantura), Package I.4-Road Construction of the Batang Integrated Industrial Estate was constructed. In order to ascertain the pertinent stratigraphic and physical characteristics of the soil on which the construction site was built, a soil investigation was conducted during construction. This process is used to assess whether the soil is stable enough to support the construction of a building. Data will be gathered in the form of soil resistance forces against the sondir or cone layers following an investigation or soil study. The sondir test can also be used to determine the required foundation depth, to precisely determine the original soil's bearing capacity, and to choose the appropriate type foundation to use. Location of Sta. 4+550 has a Box Culvert with sufficient embankment height so that it needs to be replaced as deep as -2.00 meters, while the location of the Box Culvert is at Sta. 8+575 embankment height is higher, it requires analysis of soil bearing capacity and settlement so that the replacement depth and use of mini pile foundation can be determined.

Abstract

From data from BPS (Central Statistics Agency) Jambi City, the population of Jambi City in 2022 is 619,553 people with an area of 205.38 km2, has 11 sub-districts. Safira Housing is one of the housing complexes located in Talang Bakung Village, Paal Merah District, Jambi City. Population Safira housing ± 455 people. The increase in trips made by a number of Safira housing communities will cause traffic jams during peak hours such as when leaving and returning from work. This research method uses multiple linear regression with independent variables consisting of the number of family members X1, the number of family members who work X2, number of family members attending school x3, with trip generation as variable Y and then analyzed using the SPSS application. The variable that has a dominant influence on the dependent (dependent) variable is based on the standardized coefficient beta value, namely the variable number of family members attending school/college (X3), number of family members (X1), and number of working family members (X2). The trip generation analysis model at Safira Housing is: Y 2.257 + 0.275 X1 + 0.227 X2 + 0.528 From this model, the factors that influence the generation of Safira Housing trips are obtained, namely the number of family members (X1), the number of family members who work (X2), the number of family members who go to school/college (X3). Based on the R Square value of 0.621, this means that 62.1% of trip generation at Safira Housing is explained by the independent variables in the form of number of family members, number of family members working, number of family members attending school/university.

Abstract

Laboratory is one of the generators of hazardous liquid waste derived from chemicals used in practice and research. The waste is very dangerous when discharged into the environment because of the pollutants it contains. Therefore, it is necessary to treat the waste before it is disposed of to minimize the impact of pollution caused by the waste. The study aims to compare the effectiveness of zeolite adsorbents and activated carbon in reducing COD, TSS, and Cr heavy metals. Waste treatment is carried out by coagulation and adsorption methods. The adsorption process is performed using two types of adsorbents: zeolite and activated carbon. This study was carried out by variing the mass of the adsorbents at the time of complaining for 120 minutes in batches. Variations in the masses of the used 3, 5, 7, and 10 grams of adsorbenes. The results of the study showed that the more adsorbanes used, the higher the reduction of pollutant levels. The use of 10 grams of activated carbon adsorbents can reduce TSS pollutants levels of 92%, COD 95%, Cr 65%, and pH 5,0-6,38.

Abstract

Infrastructures are increasing as the population grows. The demand for building materials from the construction industry is also improving. Building materials like fine aggregates come from nature, such as sand. This research aims to partially replace natural fine aggregates in concrete mixes using plastic waste combustion residues. This research uses an experimental method with a quantitative approach. The test specimens used in this study were 24 pieces with a replacement percentage of 0, 5, 10, and 20% residue. The results of this study show that the average concrete strength for replacement of 0, 5, 10, and 20% is 23.77; 23.15; 19.47; 17.77 Mpa. At 5% replacement of fine aggregate, the percentage of concrete strength reached 97.4% of normal concretes. It can be concluded that concrete strength affects the partial replacement of fine aggregates with residues from the combustion of plastic and textile waste.

Abstract

Indonesia’s road infrastructure requires 1.2 million tons of asphalt annually, but Pertamina can only supply 600,000 tons. This deficit compels the government and related stakeholders to seek alternatives to meet national asphalt needs and maintain road quality. This study aims to analyze the effects of adding Asbuton LGA 50/30 to Asphalt Concrete Wearing Course (AC-WC) with an innovative use of styrofoam waste. Experimental research was conducted to evaluate Marshall characteristics, including VMA (Void in Mineral Aggregate), VIM (Void in Mix), stability, VFA (Void Filled with Asphalt), and Marshall Quotient (MQ). Five styrofoam waste mix variations were tested at 2%, 4%, 6%, 8%, and 10% levels. For the 8% Asbuton mix, the highest stability was observed with 10% styrofoam, yielding a stability value of 2032.16 kg, VMA of 16.63%, VFA of 78.28%, VIM of 3.61%, flow of 2.45 mm, and MQ of 830.33 kg/mm. For the 9% Asbuton mix, the highest stability was achieved with 2% styrofoam, resulting in a stability value of 1882.35 kg, VMA of 16.21%, VFA of 80.17%, VIM of 3.24%, flow of 2.57 mm, and MQ of 735.72 kg/mm. The 10% and 2% styrofoam variations proved to be the most effective for AC-WC asphalt mixtures, as their Marshall values met the 2018 Bina Marga General Specifications, indicating that these styrofoam waste additions are optimal for AC-WC asphalt mixtures.

Abstract

The working time of handymen and workers before project implementation can be calculated from the labor coefficient in units of work quantity so that productivity can be known. However, between productivity based on the 2022 AHSP coefficient and field productivity often experience differences. This study aims to calculate the productivity of handymen and workers using the time study method and the comparison of the productivity of handymen and workers the time study method against the 2022 AHSP labor coefficient in the construction of projects in Palangka Raya City for red brick wall installation work. Data collection techniques with observation by recording work time and quantity of work as well as the number of handymen and workers. The data was analyzed using the time study method assisted by Microsoft Excel. The results showed that worker productivity: 6.38 m2⁄OH and handyman: 5.83 m2⁄OH. Comparison of work productivity using the time study method to the productivity of the 2022 AHSP coefficient in red brick wall installation work shows that worker productivity has a greater value and builders have a smaller value than productivity based on the 2022 AHSP coefficient.
