Abstract

Science is something commonly used worldwide and especially in the field of education. Suitable with teaching methods, science will be transferred to the students by the teachers. The need for better results on the educational system and educational evaluation in Indonesia requires a good quality of the educators of course in this phenomenon is the teachers. The professional teacher's personality is a combination of who the teacher is and the teachers are as educators. It means that teachers' capabilities and mindsets will affect the transfer of science to the students. The priority of this target is to get information about the value of English teachers in the Islamic Elementary School of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Pekanbaru (n=6), which teaches at five schools in Pekanbaru. The questionnaire and observation were given by representing the profile of the teachers, including educator requirements, teachers’ competence, professional graduation, and the teachers’ attitude. And how well the English teachers have the component to transfer knowledge and guide the students to learn English, as we know well that English is a communication language. This survey aims to determine how teachers meet the standards set out in UU No. 14 of 2005 for the Teaching Profession.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan bentuk-bentuk alih kode dan campur kode bahasa Indonesia ke bahasa Prokem. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan sifat penelitian deskriptif. Data penelitian ini berupa kata, frasa, klausa, dan kalimat yang memuat bentuk-bentuk alih kode dan campur kode bahasa Prokem dalam media sosial. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah takarir unggahan foto dan video akun instagram dari @lyodraoficial, @husein_hadar, @laporpak_trans7, @kokbisa, dan @lambeh_turah. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik baca, dokumentasi dan catat. Instrumen penelitian adalah peneliti sendiri. Teknik analisis data adalah reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa (1); terdapat bentuk-bentuk alih kode bahasa prokem intren dan ekstren; (2) terdapat bentuk-bentuk campur kode bahasa Prokem ke dalam, ke luar, dan campuran.Kata Kunci: Alih kode, campur kode, dan bahasa Prokem

Abstract

This research aimed to; (1) Revealing the ability to read poetry by applying Gordon model; (2) Revealing the ability to read poetry by applying the Moody model; and (3) Revealing whether learning to read poetry through the applying of the Gordon model is more effective than the Moody model. This research used a quasi-experimental design. The instrument was an assessment rubric. The results were; (l) The ability of students to read poetry by applying the Gordon model is in the fairly skilled category with an average score of 62.50; (2) The ability of students to read poetry by applying the Moody model is in the fairly skilled category with an average score of 64.25; and (3) The data analysis showed that, values are obtained sig. (2 tailed) of 0.431 > 0.05 then H0 is accepted and HA is rejected. It can be concluded that the application of the Gordon model is not more effective than the Moody model. Thus, both models are equally effective in learning to read poetry at class VIII junior high school students of COBIG ISLAMIC SCHOOL Makassar.

Abstract

This study reports needs analysis results. It aims to analyze students' needs in an effort of developing the learning strategies of direct corrective feedback in an EFL Writing class context. The initial step is to investigate the needs of students in receiving feedback as well as teacher educators' strategies in providing feedback. 39 students and 3 teacher educators are involved in this study. They are from two private universities. The questionnaire, as the main instrument, is in a form of closed-ended for students and closed along with the open questionnaire for teacher educators. The result of the analysis indicates that feedback plays an important role in overcoming students' problems in writing. It reflects that students thoroughly need feedback, either in oral corrective feedback or written corrective feedback. Thus, it concludes that the need for effective feedback must be balanced by the students' efforts to respond to it as a form of the learning process. Both direct and indirect feedback is helpful for students either in oral or written form.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mendeskripsikan hasil pembelajaran menulis teks deskripsi dengan menggunakan media audio visual pada siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Mamasa, (2) mendeskripsikan hasil pembelajaran menulis teks deskripsi dengan menggunakan media google earth pada siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Mamasa, (3) membuktikan tentang keefektifan penggunaan media audio visual dan media google earth dalam pembelajaran menulis teks deskripsi siswa Kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Mamasa. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII yang berjumalah 286 siswa. Sampel menggunakan random sampling berjumlah 56 siswa. Selanjutnya penentuan sampel sesuai langkah-langkah yang sudah ditetapkan melalui teknik random sampling dibagi menjadi dua kelompok yaitu kelas VIII A dan kelas VIII D. Kelas A berjumlah 28 siswa dan kelas D berjumlah 28 siswa. Instrumen pengukuran yang digunakan adalah tes. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan dua jenis analisis yaitu analisis deskriptif dan analisis inferensial meliputi uji normalitas data, uji homogenitas data, dan uji hipotesis dengan bantuan SPSS for windows 26.0. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan melalui uji SPSS dapat dikatakan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara kelas yang dibelajarkan dengan model pembelajaran media audio visual dan media google earth. Terbukti dari hasil uji t diperoleh t tabel 2,056 > (-11,169). Hipotesis penelitian diperoleh nilai sig (0,001) < α (0,05), hal ini berarti bahwa H1 diterima dan H0 ditolak dan terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara kemampuan menulis teks deskripsi peserta didik pada kelas yang diajar dengan menggunakan media audio visual dan media google earth.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan perlawanan subaltern yang terkandung dalam novel yang dideskripsikan. Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif kualitatif. Data berasal dari wacana, kutipan dan teks dalam novel Perempuan Yang Mendahului  Zaman karya Khairul Jasmi. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah teknik membaca dan teknik mencatat. Teori dasar yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori poskolonial Gayatari C. Spivak. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa perlawanan subaltern dalam novel Perempuan Yang Mendahului Zaman merupakan upaya kaum subaltern dalam melawan kolonialisme untuk menghentikan segala bentuk kekerasan, marginalisasi dan pelabelan guna memperoleh hak kebebasan penuh.

Abstract

A heutagogical approach in learning speaking skills that is designed explicitly in accordance with heutagogical principles. A model design with a heutagogical framework integrated with language skills in the speaking skills aspect is taught to students to improve students' learning and learning experiences in speaking skills courses. This type of research carried out developed the DBR (design based research) model or what is better known as design-based research. The data in this research is grouped into two types, namely qualitative data and quantitative data. Specifically, what this article wants to achieve is qualitative data as a form of information related to the heutagogical approach to speaking skills. Based on the research results, it shows that the heutagogical framework in learning and improving student learning outcomes in speaking skills courses refers to identifying the variety/type of speaking skills you want to learn, determining the learning method/process using mobile media and social media. As a conclusion in this research, students are responsible for their own learning and determine and control themselves what they will learn, when and how they will learn, especially by using mobile media or social media.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk Mendeskripsikan kemampuan menulis karangan argumentasi siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Kab. Gowa dengan menerapkan teknik debattable. Desain yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah control group posttest-only design yang merupakan rancangan eksperimen. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X C yang berjumlah 40 orang dan kelas X B yang berjumlah 40 orang. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode tes tertulis yang terdiri dari pretest dan posttest. Teknik analisis data menggunakan statistik deskriptif kuantitatif statistik inferensial parametrik dengan bantuan program sistem SPSS versi 15 windows. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil uji hipotesis hasilnya dapat dilihat pada perhitungan analisis data yang dikemukakan terdahulu, bahwa kelompok kontrol yang tidak menggunakan teknik debattable dalam keterampilan menulis karangan argumentasi hanya mencapai nilai rata-rata (67,75). Sedangkan keterampilan menulis karangan argumentasi siswa kelompok eksperimen setelah menggunakan teknik debattable mencapai (82.00). Dalam hal ini terbukti, bahwa siswa yang menggunakan teknik debattable memeroleh nilai yang tinggi dibanding dengan siswa yang tidak menggunakan teknik debattable dalam menulis karangan argumentasi. Artinya, teknik debattable efektif digunakan dalam menulis karangan argumentasi.

Abstract

Interaksi psikologis merupakan sebuah kegiatan dimana individu mengalami situasi reaksi dalam menanggapi lingkungan dan fenomena sekitarnya, baik dalam bentuk masa lalu, masa sekarang atau masa yang akan datang secara sadar atau tidak sadar, serta jenis respon apa yang yang selanjutnya dilakukan oleh individu tersebut. Tujuan peneliti dalam penelitian kali ini ialah untuk membedah sisi interaksi psikologis tokoh utama dalam film karya Raditya Dika yang berjudul Manusia Setengah Salmon. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini, menggunakan pendekatan Fenomenologi dan teori Carl Gustav Jung mengenai Psikoanalitik. Hasil yang ditemukan ialah, bahwasannya tokoh utama dalam film ini memiliki interaksi psikologis yang sangat kompleks dan beragam, mulai dari cara mengalami, dan memaknai pengalaman pribadi, hingga sikap kesadaran atau ketidaksadaran tokoh utama dalam merespon lingkungan atau fenomena sekitarnya.

Abstract

This research aims to describe students' needs for independent learning based on digital literacyin scientific writing courses. This research approach is a mixed approach that combines quantitativemethods and qualitative methods. The data collection techniques used in this research were throughquestionnaires, interviews and documentation studies. This research was conducted on students who weregoing to take a scientific paper writing course. The number of subjects in this research was 100 studentsand 1 lecturer. The research results show that (1) Learning to write scientific papers is one of the coursesin the group of creative skills courses. (2) The course on writing scientific papers is taught in the fourthsemester with a credit load of 3 with the aim of making students understand the various theories of writingscientific papers and being able to apply them in preparing scientific papers. (3) Learning to writescientific papers is ideally carried out using an independent learning model.
