Abstract

The Independent Rural Agricultural Training Center (P4S) plays a strategic role in enhancing farmers' empowerment through various training programs, mentoring, and strengthening agricultural business networks. This study aims to analyze the impact of P4S Tranggulasi’s role on the level of farmers' empowerment in Batur Village, Getasan District, Semarang Regency. The role of P4S in this study consists of four main variables: training, consultancy function, farmer regeneration, and business network development. Farmers' empowerment is measured based on three main aspects: technical farming skills, business management skills, and market access and marketing capabilities. This study employs a quantitative approach using a survey method. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to farmers involved in P4S Tranggulasi programs and analyzed using multiple linear regression to determine the influence of each variable on farmers' empowerment. The results indicate that, simultaneously, the role of P4S has a significant impact on farmers' empowerment. The variables of farmer regeneration and business network development have a significant influence on improving technical farming skills, business management, and market access and marketing. The empowerment strategy through P4S needs to be optimized, particularly in the aspects of farmer regeneration and strengthening business networks, to enhance the competitiveness and sustainability of agricultural enterprises. Keywords: The Role of P4S Tranggulasi, Farmer empowerment, multiple linear regression

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors that influence farmers’ interest in adopting healthy cultivation (BTS) of rice (Oryza sativa L.) in Tirtomartani Village, Kalasan Subdistrict, Sleman Regency. A quantitative approach was used, involving 64 farmer respondents who had adopted healthy cultivation practices. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression to examine the effect of non-formal education, agricultural extension support, government support, and market access on farmers’ interest. The results showed that only two variables had a significant effect: non-formal education and government support. This indicates that increased participation in training and extension activities, as well as strong government involvement through supportive policies and infrastructure, play a critical role in encouraging farmers to adopt healthy and sustainable rice farming practices. These findings are expected to serve as a reference for agricultural extension agents, policymakers, and related stakeholders in designing effective empowerment programs. Keywords: Interest, Healthy Cultivation, Rice, Non-Formal Education, Government Support.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out how agricultural instructors contribute to the growth of coffee production in Wejang Mawe Village, East Lamba Leda District, East Manggarai Regency. In this study, a quantitative approach to descriptive research was employed as the research methodology. Multiple linear regression was employed in the data analysis for this study, while questionnaires and documentation were distributed as data collectio n technique. The resut of this study showed that the average impact of agricultural instructors' participation was 88.97%, based on descriptive statistical statistics, suggesting that their role is crucial in raising coffee output. indicating a normally distributed relationship between the function of agricultural instructors and coffee production, based on  the data normalcy test. The linearity test indicates that there is a linear relationship between variables (X) and (Y). According to the independent variables' multicollinearity test, the tolerance is less than 0.10 and the VIF score is greater than 10.00. The data on the contribution of agricultural instructors to the increase in coffee production demonstrated heteroscedasticity, as indicated by the partial heteroscedasticity of the variables (X₁). The findings of the t test for the Facilitator variable indicated that there was no significant impact of tcount and ttable, with 1.098 < 2.023 sig 0.298, on raising coffee production. There is no correlation between the innovator variable's tcount and ttable values (1.649 < 2.023 sig 0.108) and increased coffee production. Coffee production can be increased by the motivator variables that showed tcount and ttable values of 20.562 > 2.023 sig 0.000. Based on the F test's findings, there was no correlation between the Communicator variable's tcount and ttable values (-0.415 < 2.023 sig 0.681) and increased coffee production. While Ftable 0.05, Fcount = 469.275 > Ftable 4.113 sig 0.000. Since the error rate α=5% is significantly impacted by the independent variable. It followed that the variables X₁, X₂, X₃, and X₄ all simultaneously affect variable Y since H0 is rejected and Ha is approved. Keywords: Coffee, Role of Agricultural Instructor, Increasing, Production.

Abstract

Production forecasting is a crucial instrument in supporting planning and policy-making in the agricultural sector, particularly for strategic commodities such as corn. This study aims to forecast corn production in West Sumatra Province and evaluate the most accurate forecasting method to serve as a basis for agricultural development policy formulation. Time series data on corn production from 2000 to 2024 were analyzed using three forecasting methods: Average Forecast, Naïve Forecasting, and Moving Average. The results show that the Naïve Forecasting method produced the most accurate projections, with a MAE of 56,546.39 and an RMSE of 83,788. These findings suggest that even simple forecasting models can be effective tools for short-term projections. Accurate production forecasting is therefore essential to anticipate harvest fluctuations, maintain supply stability, and design more responsive and data-driven policy interventions in West Sumatra. Keywords: Forecasting, Corn Production, Naive Forecasting, West Sumatera.

Abstract

This study analyzes whether there is a significant difference in entrepreneurial interest in agricultural students based on taking entrepreneurship courses. The data shows that entrepreneurial interest in the agricultural sector is still relatively low, indicated by the small number of students who enter the field. The study used a descriptive quantitative method with the Mann-Whitney U test analysis technique. The sample consisted of 150 active students from three state universities in East Java, namely UPN "Veteran" East Java, Brawijaya University, and Trunojoyo University Madura. There are statistical results that entrepreneurship courses have an effect on students' entrepreneurial intentions, with a p value of 0.036 which is significant at the α level of 0.05. Thus, the null hypothesis stating that there is no difference between the two groups is rejected. Keywords: Intention, Entrepreneurship, Agriculture Students

Abstract

Surabaya is one of the metropolitan cities with a highly active population, including both workers and students. Most of them enjoy coffee and embrace the growing coffee-drinking culture. However, due to their busy schedules, they prefer coffee that is convenient and can be taken on the go. This opportunity has led to the emergence of mobile coffee cart vendors scattered around main roads, especially near university campuses. The trend of mobile coffee is popular among young people due to its affordable price and decent taste. However, product development strategies are needed to ensure the sustainability and growth of current mobile coffee businesses. The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of consumer behavior and marketing mix on consumers' purchasing decisions of mobile coffee in order to design effective and efficient strategies. The research method used is a quantitative approach utilizing SEM-PLS and IPA analyses. The results indicate that psychological factors and the marketing mix simultaneously and partially have a significant influence on purchasing decisions for mobile coffee in Surabaya. Meanwhile, the IPA analysis shows that the product variety indicator falls into quadrant 4, meaning that this indicator needs to be evaluated. Keywords: Mobile Coffee, Consumer Behavior, Marketing Mix, SEM-PLS.

Abstract

In recent years, culinary tourism in tourist destinations has become a trend among global travelers. The development of tourism has also brought a shift in motivation from travel-based tourism to shopping tourism. However, it is known that there is considerable competition among culinary souvenir centers. Meanwhile, brand preferences are highly dynamic, making it essential for managers to consider them in efforts to increase customer satisfaction, encourage repeat visits, or even generate word-of-mouth intentions. This study aims to analyze the influence of brand personality, perceived coolness, and perceived service quality on brand experience. The research location was selected purposively, focusing on culinary souvenir centers in Malang City. The sampling technique used was non-probability sampling with purposive sampling method, involving a total of 100 respondents. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling with Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) via WarpPLS 7.0 software. The results show that there is a significant relationship between brand personality and brand experience through perceived coolness and perceived service quality. However, the relationship between perceived service quality and brand experience was found to be insignificant. Keywords: Brand Personality, Perceived Coolness, Perceived Service Quality, Brand Experience.
