Abstract

This study examines the simultaneous impact of Co-creating Customer Value (CCV), Value Consciousness (VC), and Perceived Economic Value (PEV) on Customer Loyalty (CL) within the Service-Dominant Logic (SDL) framework, highlighting the importance of customer loyalty amidst intense business competition. This study aims to analyze the partial and simultaneous effects of co-created value, value consciousness, and perceived economic value on customer loyalty toward eco-friendly flavored products, while also examining whether environmentally conscious consumers are more responsive to these variables, offering strategic insights for enhancing customer loyalty. This study addresses a theoretical gap in the literature by exploring the individual dimensions of the three elements, which have only been examined separately in prior research. A survey-based quantitative approach was used, with 150 respondents from the retail sector analyzed through multiple linear regression. The results show that the three independent variables have a unidirectional relationship with the dependent variable CL, which is significant regarding zinc. It is concluded that CCV, VC, and PEV significantly affect CL in terms of zinc. Individually, PEV provides the highest number in its influence, followed by VC, while CCV, although small, can adjust in the influence of combination. These findings support the concept of value-in-context, affirming that interaction value, benefit awareness, and economic perception determine customer loyalty. Theoretically, this study enhances the understanding of the multi-dimensional impact of value on customer loyalty, while managerially, it urges companies to emphasize economic benefits, strengthen co-creation, and communicate value effectively.

Abstract

The decline in coconut prices negatively affects farmers' income, thus impacting overall household expenditures. This study aims to analyze (1) the characteristics of hybrid coconut farmers, (2) the structure of household income of hybrid coconut farmers, (3) household expenditures of hybrid coconut farmers, and (4) the factors influencing household expenditures of hybrid coconut farmers. The research used a survey method with purposive sampling, resulting in a sample size of 53 farmers. Multiple linear Regression was the primary analytical tool. The results showed that: (1) Farmers had an average age of 44 years, 9.6 years of education, 21 years of farming experience, four family members, and an average land area of 3.31 hectares. (2) Household income was primarily derived from hybrid coconut farming (60.53%). (3) The most significant household expenditure was on non-food items (53.46%), including housing, education, health, clothing, and recreation. (4) Significant factors influencing household expenditures included household income (X1), number of family members (X2), and assets (X6). Conversely, the farmer's education level (X3), wife's education (X4), and savings (X5) did not significantly affect the household expenditures of hybrid coconut farmers. This study provides novel insights by revealing the role of assets as a buffer factor that can enhance household consumption through asset sales, which has not been widely explored in previous research on hybrid coconut farmers.

Abstract

BumDes Agrotourism Petik Melon faces significant challenges, including intense competition with similar businesses and increasing consumer demands for high-quality tourism experiences. This study aims to analyze the impact of business ethics and social responsibility on consumer satisfaction at BumDes Agrowisata Petik Melon in Balongwono, Trowulan Mojokerto. Using a quantitative approach, the study explores the significance of the relationships between the variables. Data were collected through questionnaires with purposive sampling. The results show that business ethics and social responsibility positively and significantly affect consumer satisfaction. Simultaneous analysis indicates that these variables have a significant collective effect, with an F-value of 28.765 and a significance level of 0.000 (below 0.05), suggesting that the tested factors significantly contribute to the dependent variable. The coefficient of determination reveals that the regression model explains a substantial portion of the data variability, with an R Square value of 0.672, meaning that the independent variables explain 67.2% of the variability in the dependent variable. This research highlights the significant impact of business ethics and social responsibility on consumer satisfaction, suggesting that consumers value ethical business practices and social responsibility, which in turn enhance their satisfaction with services. The novelty of this study lies in its focus on the role of ethics and social responsibility in agrotourism, providing new insights into rural business strategies. Future research could broaden the scope by exploring additional variables like environmental sustainability, expanding the sample size, and comparing multiple agrotourism locations for generalizability.

Abstract

Effective marketing of dragon fruit agrotourism and marketing tactics, which play a significant role in determining consumer buying interest, require innovation in agrotourism development to ensure customers are interested in purchasing. 1) Explain how innovation in dragon fruit agrotourism has increased consumer interest in making purchases; 2) Examine digital marketing tactics for dragon fruit agrotourism to boost consumer interest in making purchases. This kind of study makes use of qualitative research. The research sample consisted of 10 respondents, including owner of an agrotourism business, employee, trader in the agrotourism industry, and seven visitors or clients. Using descriptive data analysis, the 4P marketing concept was referenced. Numerous earlier studies have not reported on this research. Many fruit plant kinds and other plants promoting tourism require innovation in agrotourism development. Innovations in agrotourism development are necessary to pique consumers' interest in intense purchases; these innovations can decide how well dragon fruit agrotourism marketing works. Based on the study's findings on dragon fruit agrotourism development innovations at BPP, including applying a marketing mix comprising goods, costs, promotions, and suitable locations. The SWOT analysis of the agrotourism marketing plan reveals internal variables, including the company's strength, a wellthought-out and innovative agrotourism concept, and a key location. The company's weak point is inadequate amenities, such as playgrounds for kids and lodging. External reasons include the high number of foreign visitors and the community's popularity of dragon fruit-based economic prospects. Extreme or unpredictable weather fluctuations and perishable agricultural products pose a hazard to the firm.

Abstract

Beef cattle farming is important in providing food, especially animal protein, and supporting the community economy. This study illustrates how this livestock business can quickly breakeven point (BEP), cover costs, and start making a profit. The uniqueness of this study lies in the specific analysis of costs, revenues, and income, as well as the calculation of BEP, which can be used as a guideline for more efficient business management. This study aims to analyze the BEP of the beef cattle business in the Boliyohuto District. The sample used was 89 beef cattle farmers using a quantitative approach. Data was collected through observation, interview, and documentation, followed by quantitative descriptive analysis. The results showed that the average total cost incurred was IDR 11,418,410, and revenue was IDR. 19,814,935, income was IDR. 8,396,525. In addition, the breakeven point (BEP) in quantity is 0.576, and the rupiah value is IDR. 5,709,205. The beef cattle business in the Boliyohuto Subdistrict provides economic benefits because the production and unit price is greater than the breakeven point value, so the business is up-and-coming. This research is very relevant in the context of community economic empowerment because the beef cattle sector has the potential to be a stable source of income, support food security, and create jobs. In addition, the results of this study can be the basis for developing policies and programs that support the sustainability of livestock businesses in rural areas, as well as optimizing the profitability of livestock businesses in the long term.

Abstract

Family well-being refers to the conditions where a family's physical, material, mental, spiritual, and social needs are met, enabling them to lead a decent life within their environment. Coconut plants have high economic value as all parts of the plant can be utilized. North Buton holds significant potential for developing deep coconut plantations. However, coconut farmers in North Buton generally only produce copra and activated charcoal for sale, resulting in a limited contribution to increasing farmers' income and, consequently, their welfare. This study aims to analyze the income of coconut farming in North Buton and the level of farmers' welfare. The study sample consisted of 60 farmers selected through purposive sampling, who met the following criteria: they managed their own land, with at least 1 hectare, the coconut trees were productive, and they had been farming deep coconut for over 10 years. The results show that the average land area owned by farmers is 2 hectares, with an annual production of 22,891 coconuts. Farmers with 3.0-4.0 hectares of land had the highest income, averaging IDR 2,257,841 per month. Household income is allocated for food and non-food needs, with food consumption averaging IDR 1,163,000 per month and non-food consumption at IDR 1,530,000. Overall, the welfare level of deep coconut farmers' households in North Buton is categorized as prosperous, as the percentage spent on non-food needs exceeds that spent on food.

Abstract

Collecting traders in Wamena play a crucial role in enhancing farmers' welfare. This study explores how these traders can boost the availability of organic vegetables while adapting to local conditions. The research identifies challenges, opportunities, and best practices specific to Wamena, using a qualitative approach with in-depth interviews and participatory observations of farmers and collectors. Collecting traders act as a key link between rural farmers and urban consumers, directly collecting harvests from fields. They also manage post-harvest tasks such as sorting, classifying, and packaging to ensure quality. However, several obstacles hinder their full potential. Limited infrastructure, such as poor road access, presents a significant challenge, as does the lack of capital for buying large quantities and maintaining stock. The use of traditional measurement units like tokens leads to inaccurate weight estimates, disadvantaging both farmers and traders. Additionally, high shipping costs burden traders and reduce their profit margins. To optimize the role of collecting traders, improvements in service quality, market network expansion, and vegetable distribution are needed. Addressing these challenges will help enhance the welfare of farmers, ensure the availability of quality organic vegetables, and meet consumer demand in Wamena. Improving distribution methods for organic vegetables is essential to support this goal.

Abstract

The main problem is how natural resource management, especially forests, can improve community welfare without compromising environmental sustainability. This study aims to analyze the role of natural resource capital in supporting sustainable livelihoods in the social forest area of Enrekang Regency and evaluate the social and economic impacts of the social forestry program implemented in the area. The research method used is a qualitative approach with in-depth interviews with communities and relevant stakeholders and analysis of relevant secondary data. The research findings show that the social forestry program provides positive impacts through increased income, food security, and employment opportunities for the community. However, there are still challenges in the form of a lack of technical knowledge and dependence on illegal logging practices. This research makes a new contribution by exploring the potential for collaboration between the government, communities, and non-governmental organizations in sustainable social forest management. In conclusion, the success of social forest management is highly dependent on strengthening community capacity and implementing environmentally friendly forestry practices. The policy implication of this finding is the importance of government support in providing technical training and supervision of social forestry programs. The recommendation for future research is to conduct further studies on the long-term impact of the agroforestry program in improving economic and environmental sustainability in social forest areas.

Abstract

Farmer group institutions play an essential role in community life because they allow farmers to work together to solve problems such as the fulfillment of agricultural inputs, cultivation, and marketing of farm products. This study aimed to identify internal and external factors affecting institutional development in rice farming and formulate development strategies to strengthen the institution and maximize its role in rice farming. The data analysis used in this research is qualitative descriptive with SWOT. Internal factors that become strengths are strategic land location, quality agricultural products, financial management carried out optimally, trained and experienced farmer group members and means of sales promotion. Internal factors that become weaknesses are the low responsibility of farmer group members, limited capital, incomplete agricultural production facilities, and direct sales of farm products to intermediary traders/intermediaries. External factors that become opportunities are government assistance, counseling from agricultural institutions, technological developments, population, and good relations with communities that support farmer group activities. Threat factors are erratic weather, unsafe environment, government programs that are still project-based, and weak program coordination between institutions. Alternative strategies that can be carried out in developing farmer groups are increasing the quantity and ability of farmer group members by participating in training activities to the fullest and utilizing land use, increasing agricultural production facilities through government assistance, and maintaining good relations with the dynamics of extension groups and organizations, maximizing the potential or experience possessed by farmer group members in improving coordination between institutions, and maximizing the role of agricultural extension.
