Abstract

Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) are diseases that are caused by various factors and are not transmitted from individual to individual. Deaths caused by non-communicable diseases 35% are due to heart and blood vessel diseases, 12% by cancer, 6% by chronic respiratory diseases, 6% due to diabetes, and 15% due to other NCDs. Early detection through glucose, cholesterol & uric acid checks can prevent heart disease & diabetes. The target population in this community service is teachers and high school employees aged 25 – 60 years. The results of the examination showed that female teachers were more than male teachers. The age < 40 is more than teachers and employees aged >40 years. Patients with Hypercholesterolemia totaled 25 people (59%), indicating that high cholesterol was experienced by many teachers and employees at SMA N 3 Jayapura. Hypercholesterolemia can trigger the formation of atherosclerosis which causes blockages in the endothelium of blood vessels.

Abstract

Human Resources (HR) are fundamental assets in regional development and development. Community Service Activities in Baru Village, Pancur Batu District, aim to transform HR capacity through basic accounting training. This study uses a comprehensive extension method that includes lectures, discussions, practices, and evaluations to improve community financial literacy. The results of the activity showed a significant increase in understanding of accounting concepts, transaction recording skills, and awareness of the importance of structured financial management. Through a participatory approach, this activity succeeded in providing accounting knowledge that can encourage the development of individual and community capacity.

Abstract

Deaths from non-communicable diseases (NCDs) in the world of 17.9 million people per year are caused by cardiovascular diseases, followed by cancer, chronic respiratory diseases and diabetes mellitus with complications. In Indonesia, deaths due to NCDs reach 73% based on the World Health Organization Non Communicable Diseases Progress Monitor 2020. Therefore, this service aims to screen for non-communicable diseases through blood tests and carotid artery ultrasound which is useful for early detection of stroke and heart disease in church members, which are communities with different backgrounds. The methods used are blood tests and ultrasound of the carotid artery. The results of the examination showed that some residents were at risk of non-communicable diseases, hypertension, stroke, coronary heart disease.

Abstract

The empowerment of women is a fundamental driver of economic growth and sustainable development. When women engage in business, they create more opportunities for a better life for their families. One way home-based businesses can market themselves is through social media, which is a form of online marketing that uses the Instagram platform. The main objective of this community service team is to help a group of mothers start a home business making various culinary delights in Pedalangan, Banyumanik, Semarang. Secondly, we assisted the moms' culinary business in Pedalangan in creating their own Instagram account.

Abstract

The training activity on the application of flipped learning for English teachers of Muhammadiyah Junior High School and MTs in Banyumas aims to improve their teaching skills, especially in learning recon texts. The stages of the activity include preparation, implementation, and evaluation. In the implementation stage, the resource person explained the basic theory of flipped learning in language learning, provided examples of material about recon texts, and guided teachers to prepare materials, including vocabulary, generic structures, simple past tenses, and text examples. Participants showed a positive response to the practice of flipped learning through collaborative and independent writing activities based on picture series. Some supporting factors include the active involvement of participants and relevant materials, while challenges include time constraints and variations in teachers' abilities. The follow-up plan includes advanced training, module development, and strengthening teachers' collaborative strategies.

Abstract

Flipped learning is a learning model that moves the delivery of material outside the classroom and focuses understanding inside the classroom with the role of the teacher as a facilitator. This approach increases students' control over learning time and pace, as well as increases participation and critical thinking skills. The integration of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in English language learning expands access to learning resources and supports collaboration. The challenges of its implementation in high school include teacher readiness and evaluation fit, which can be overcome through training that focuses on the effective application of ICT.

Abstract

Education and training on service aims to provide an overview of simple financial statements to partners and provide guidance on the preparation of appropriate simple profit and loss, in detecting potential profits or losses experienced. Thus, it is expected that MSMEs have strong competitiveness and are able to make the right decisions when encountering potential losses. The implementation process includes observation methods, socialization and education, training, and evaluation which was held in November. The result obtained is that both partners are able to understand about simple financial statements and their role in determining the level of sales profits. In addition, they are also able to identify elements of simple financial statements and form reports with satisfactory results.

Abstract

Two business actors (MSME) located in Caturtunggal sub-district, Depok District, Sleman Regency participated in this community service to improve MSMEs understanding of simple financial report bookkeeping. The techniques used were surveys, interviews, and socialization. Choosing these two business actors because of their lack of understanding of simple financial report bookkeeping. This activity was carried out in stages by visiting business actors one by one at their workplaces. The results showed that business actors gained a better understanding of simple financial report bookkeeping.

Abstract

PT. Jamkrida NTB Syariah Bersaing is a Regionally-Owned Enterprise (BUMD) engaged in the credit guarantee business sector. This community service activity aims to provide training in sharia accounting for kafalah contract and technique for reading financial statements, which was attended by all elements in the organization of PT. Jamkrida NTB Syariah Bersaing. The methods used in this community service activity include presentation, case and discussion. The contents of the presentation are kafalah contract, both concept and practice, and financial statements. Some of the problems discussed include customer eligibility assessments, collateral, suborgation, and kafalah contract. This activity provides many benefits, especially for employees in the fields of finance and accounting, in the form of a better understanding of sharia accounting and financial statements.
