Abstract

Education is a vital component of society, serving as a primary benchmark for growth and development, particularly in the Society 5.0 era, which Manuel Castell describes as the information age. This society focuses on information and transactions within both physical and virtual spaces. In the context of Society 5.0, education leverages big data to enhance abilities and open opportunities across various life domains, addressing social challenges. The relationship between education and societal change is profound, as education within the Muhammadiyah Association aims to prepare individuals to grow as people aware of the presence of Allah SWT and mastering knowledge, technology, and the arts. Education also aims to develop students' potential to become people of faith, piety, noble character, knowledge, competence, creativity, independence, and responsible citizenship. Faced with the rapid and intelligent societal changes, educational institutions must prepare students to be competitive. Teachers, as key elements in education, must continually improve their capacities while adhering to religious, cultural, and national values. Teachers' roles, with their intuition and hearts, are crucial in deeply internalizing values through their daily exemplary behavior.

Abstract

Improving the quality of learning in Madrasahs is a strategic and constructive step that is expected to bring Islamic education to be more adaptive in the era of digital technology. The dynamics in the world of realistic learning demand good and conducive interactions between teachers and learners. Madrasahs, as educational institutions, require greater attention from the community. Individualist behavior that ignores social demoralization can threaten morality if Madrasahs remain neutral to social values. The moral decline in society, especially among teenagers, emphasizes the importance of value-based character learning. A learning environment based on trust, care, and respect can enhance motivation, creativity, and affective and cognitive development. Role models from educators and reinforcement of character values are essential for shaping learners' character. Islamic education in Madrasahs has contributed greatly to the history of national education. The Indonesian government, based on Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution, guarantees the implementation of Islamic education and provides freedom for Muslims to develop.

The advent of Revolution 4.0 has introduced significant transformations in educational paradigms worldwide, including Islamic Religious Education (PAI). This era is characterized by rapid technological advancements that have reshaped learning environments, necessitating educators to adapt and utilize sophisticated tools effectively. This study explores trends in PAI learning amidst Revolution 4.0, focusing on enhancing student quality and educator competencies through modernized teaching methodologies and digital learning tools.The background highlights the evolving role of technology in education and its impact on PAI, emphasizing the need for innovative approaches to maintain educational relevance and effectiveness. A specific gap in the literature pertains to understanding optimal strategies for integrating digital tools in PAI to foster both religious adherence and technological proficiency among students.

Abstract

Various methods in religious education have their own challenges, especially the lecture method which is often considered monotonous, abstract, and supra-rational. In today's technological era, the one-way lecture method, where educators dominate and students only listen and take notes, is no longer recommended. One of the weaknesses of this method is the difficulty of lecturers to monitor students' understanding and the tendency of students to be passive and less motivated, so that learning becomes less effective. To overcome this problem, especially in learning Al-Islam and Kemuhammadiyahan (AIK II) which discusses Worship and Muamalah, the assignment method through a project to make a video of prayer practice can be an alternative that is more suitable for generation Z. This generation is known to be expressive, visual, and curious. This generation is known to be expressive, visual, likes instant information, and creative in utilizing technology. Video making allows them to combine elements of theory with their imagination and creativity, making learning more contextual and reflective. Unlike the conventional lecture method, this approach is expected to increase student engagement and motivation.

Abstract

Islamic Religious Education (PAI) plays an integral role in achieving national educational goals in Indonesia, aiming to cultivate students who are faithful, pious, and morally upright.PAI encompasses four key aspects: religiosity, morality, intellect, and nationalism, all essential for forming well-rounded individuals.Specific Background: In the era of Industry 5.0, PAI in schools must address global societal challenges. Contemporary issues require intelligent solutions that consider societal knowledge levels, necessitating a multidisciplinary approach to PAI education.Current PAI teaching methods often lack the integration of multidisciplinary knowledge, which is crucial for addressing complex religious and societal issues, such as conducting virtual Friday prayers during the COVID-19 pandemic or determining the halal status of products.This study aims to explore the development of multidisciplinary learning models in PAI to enhance its relevance and effectiveness in addressing global challenges.The research involves examining case studies and current practices in PAI, highlighting the need for integrating various fields of knowledge, such as science and technology, to provide comprehensive education on contemporary issues like halal certification and virtual religious practices.

Abstract

Philanthropy is social generosity that is programmed and aimed at alleviating social problems in society (such as poverty). LazisMU is one of the institutions that carry out philanthropic activities in overcoming social problems in society. This study aims to analyze and test the role of influencers on people's decisions to become donors with trust as an intervening variable in LazisMU charitable institutions in the Ex. Karesidenan Besuki region which includes Jember, Banyuwangi, Situbondo and Bondowoso. The research questionnaire was distributed to donors as many as 250 respondents. The sample size of 250 respondents was obtained from the Slovin formula with a population of 3635 donors. Hypothesis testing was conducted to answer the research hypothesis that had been compiled previously. The results of statistical analysis show that influencer variables have a positive and significant influence on the decisions of LazisMU donors. Trust from donors has a positive impact on the decisions of LazisMU donors. The trust variable becomes an intermediary variable for the influence of influencers on the decision to become a donor to LazisMU.

Abstract

One of the important skills for a student is reading. Reading is a window to the world, where by reading students will be able to understand and analyze information and expand their knowledge horizons. This research aims to see a picture of reading comprehension abilities in undergraduate students. The approach taken is quantitative descriptive. The method used is a test, namely reading speed and reading comprehension. The research population was undergraduate psychology students with a sample size of 138. The sampling technique was random sampling using the NIM of undergraduate students. The data analysis technique is descriptive statistics using Jamovi. Based on data analysis, the results showed that in general the reading speed of undergraduate students tended to be slow with an average speed of 131 Kpm as much as 75.4%. The level of understanding of reading content is in the low category, namely with an average PI% value of 45.7 as much as 92%. In general, it can be said that the reading comprehension ability of undergraduate students still tends to be low with an average of 77.8 Kpm with a reading comprehension of 49.1%. This means that undergraduate students' reading comprehension is less than 70% of 350 Kpm. For other researchers who are interested in the same theme, they can find effective interventions to improve undergraduate students' reading comprehension abilities.

Abstract

This article reviews the role of extracurricular, co-curricular, and curricular activities in supporting the development of students' interests and talents at SD Muhammadiyah 1 Gempol. The development of students' interests and talents is considered to play an important role in shaping their character and developing their academic abilities. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach with observation, interview and data collection methods. This article is assembled based on a literature review as well as data analysis to find out the results of these activities contributing to the development of students' interests and talents.

Abstract

Building religious character among elementary school students is a crucial component in the world of education, which can be the foundation for their daily actions and behaviors. In view of this, SD Muhammadiyah 1 Gempol applies the habituation of religious activities in shaping students' religious character. This study aims to examine more concrete strategies in instilling religious values in elementary school students, one of which is using the habituation method. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. Where data collection is done through interviews, observation, and documentation as well as reviewing previous articles relevant to this research. The subjects in this study were students of SD Muhammadiyah 1 Gempol. The results of this study only describe in-depth interviews and observations that have been conducted on research subjects so as to provide a clear picture of the implementation of religious character education through habituation methods. The results of the research at SD Muhammadiyah showed success in increasing the religious value of students carried out through habituation of morning apple activities by reading short letters, asmaul husna, and Muhammadiyah student promises.

Abstract

This study aims to determine teachers' efforts in strengthening students' religious character and discipline through habituation at Muhammadiyah Elementary School. This qualitative research uses data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The subject of this research is students in one of the Sidoarjo Elementary Schools. This research discusses strengthening character, which is important in shaping religious character and discipline through an effective approach. Efforts were made to strengthen religious character by memorizing short letters of hadiths and performing dhuha prayers in the congregation. The efforts made to strengthen the character of discipline are through habituation activities at school in the form of obeying the rules or regulations in the school.
