Abstract

With the development of technology, digital money is spreading as a means of payment. The method used is qualitative descriptive. The results of the study show that The growth of social media and the adoption of cryptocurrencies marks a digital transformation in the payment system. However, the shift from cash to digital transactions has also had an impact. On the positive side, transactions are more practical and the risk of theft is reduced. However, there is a risk of system errors and potential social instability in the event of major disruptions in the digital system. The Great Reset agenda supports the use of digital money to improve economic efficiency and inclusivity, but it also poses challenges related to national sovereignty and security. Digital education, proper regulation, and international cooperation are key to effectively managing this complex transition.

Abstract

The Gulf of Guinea, an area rich in natural beauty and natural resources such as oil, gas, and fisheries, faces serious threats from widespread maritime piracy activities. The region is an important economic center, but maritime insecurity threatens its economic stability and development. Numerous regional and international initiatives have been undertaken to enhance security in these waterways, such as the Nigerian government's "Deep Blue" project and collaboration with the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS). The UN Security Council has also passed a resolution to address this threat. Despite this, challenges remain significant due to the high number of attacks and significant economic impact. Addressing this issue requires continued cooperation between countries in the Gulf of Guinea region and the international community to ensure security and sustainable exploration in this region.

Abstract

This research aims to: 1) Describe the potential of LCT in extending the shelf life of tofu, 2) Analyze the potential of LCT in reducing Escherichia coli contamination in tofu, and 3) Compare the taste, smell and texture of tofu soaked in LCT with control tofu. This research is conducted in two steps. The first stage involved observing the color, smell, and texture of tofu soaked in LCT with concentrations of 25%, 50%, 75%, and a control soaked in pure water. The second stage involved observing E. coli contamination in tofu soaked in various solutions and also control tofu. The conclusions of this research are: 1) Tofu soaked in pure water for more than 2 days shows Escherichia coli contamination which makes tofu unfit for consumption, 2) Soaking tofu in 75% LCT can extend the freshness of tofu by up to 4 days and reduce bacterial contamination E.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the effect of various components of chitosan gelatin on its characteristics. The method used was drying at room temperature using petridish for 2-3 days, by mixing all raw materials with chitosan : gelatin weight ratio of 1:0, 0:1, 1:1, 1:2, and 2:1. The dried film was taken and tested for film characteristics. The analysis conducted was FTIR analysis, swelling analysis, and degradation analysis. The results of the swelling analysis showed that the more the addition of gelatin composition, the percentage of swelling increased as shown in the ratio of 1:2, namely 85.178%, 144.072%, 102.068%, 184.660%, 135.272%. Meanwhile, the degradation test results showed that the chitosan and gelatin films with various composition variations increased as the test time progressed. FTIR analysis revealed that gelatin (Ge), chitosan (Ch), and chitosan-gelatin mixture (Ch-Ge) with 1:1 ratio had similar absorption peaks.
