Abstract

The objective of this research was survey the students’ ability in writing a descriptive text of midwifery students of STIK Bina Husada and STIKES Aisyiyah. It was a survey research, 40 students majoring Midwifery as the sample of this research taken by using total sampling. The data were obtained by using writing test. To verify the hypotheses, the primary data were analyzed by using pre and post test and paired sample t rest by means of Statistical Product and Service Solution (SPSS) 20th version computer program. Based on the data analysis, the influencing  of descriptive essay strategy to the students’ writing on paired sample t test were t-obtained was 6.091. from the data of both places there were improvement of students’ achievement from their pretest to posttest. It can be stated that the descriptive essay strategy can improve the students’ writing achievement.

Abstract

The aim of the research is to assess the level of accountability shown by village officials in Batuyang Village, Pringgabaya District, East Lombok Regency, especially in terms of financial management. This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach, utilizing interviews and documentation as data collection techniques. Participants in this research consisted of various village officials, including the village head, village secretary, village treasurer, development department, and chairman of the BPD. The findings show that village officials in Batuyang Village have effectively fulfilled their responsibilities in ensuring accountability in financial management. This includes fulfilling their duties in the areas of planning, implementation, administration, reporting, accountability, supervision and guidance, in accordance with the requirements set out in Minister of Home Affairs Regulation No. 113 of 2014.

Abstract

Indonesia shares direct land borders with three countries, namely: Malaysia, Timor Leste, Papua New Guinea. These three countries influence all regional political, economic and security dynamics with Indonesia. This research, using a descriptive qualitative method, utilized Human Security theory, National Security Policy of the Republic of Indonesia, the Concept of Universal War Strategy and the Concept of National Defense, as well as using the opinions of a number of experts in its analysis. The results show that a number of conditions in Indonesian society in border areas can influence feelings of nationalism and patriotism. Based on the results of the research conducted, it is recommended that stakeholders prioritize various National Values ​​Strengthening programs for border area communities.

Abstract

Indonesia as an archipelagic country has open sea areas and the existence of the Indonesian Archipelagic Sea Lane (ALKI) which can create vulnerabilities to various possible maritime threats. The country of Indonesia, most of which is territorial waters, requires a strong Navy to maintain security and the country's territorial boundaries. The aim of this research is to see the potential of the Indonesian National Army Navy through Mahan's Theory. This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The data collection technique in this research was carried out through searching secondary data obtained from books, articles, news, comments and government publications. The results of this research indicate that there must be an increase in the Indonesian Navy and modernization of Alusista must also be carried out.

Abstract

This integrated analysis explores real-world case examples and related data findings to gain a deeper understanding of the challenges and protection strategies needed to face these types of threats. The selected cases include the terrorist attack in Tokyo in 1995, the murder of Alexander Litvinenko in London in 2006, as well as the cyanide poisoning case in Jakarta in 2004. The data findings highlight the importance of developing rapid cyanide detection technology, personal protection equipment, coordinated emergency response, and effective law enforcement in protecting the public from cyanide exposure. Recommendations include investment in research and development of innovative protection technologies, development of standardized emergency response guidelines, and public outreach campaigns. With a holistic approach and cross-sector collaboration, it is hoped that we can increase preparedness and protect the community from the threat of chemical attacks involving cyanide.

Abstract

Understanding the concept of multiplying two numbers in mathematics learning is something that should be taught to students as a basis for understanding more complex mathematical operations. This research aims to analyze the effectiveness of mathematics learning using the GASING method on multiplication of two-digit numbers. This research uses a type of library research. Data collection uses documentation techniques. Next, the data was analyzed using content analysis techniques. This analysis is used to obtain valid references. The research results show that the GASING method can deepen the concept of multiplication packaged with interesting and fun games which have an impact on increasing academic grades. Thus, the application of the GASING method in learning has implications for the active involvement of students in the classroom which has an impact on strengthening in-depth understanding of mathematical concepts.

Abstract

Wound dressings are materials used to speed up the wound healing process and can make the healing condition better. The aim of this research is to form a biocomposite that originates from chitosan, alginate and collagen as well as looking at appropriate compositional comparisons to provide ideal biocomposite results. This research was carried out at the Chemical Engineering Laboratory, Muhammadiyah University of Gresik. The method used is a drying process at room temperature on a thin glass printer for 24 hours. The results of research on FTIR analysis of this biocomposite membrane contain alkyl amine groups, alkane compounds (C-H), NO2 bonds, aldehyde compounds, ketones, carboxylic acids, esters or bonds (C=O), alkane compounds (C-H), phenol compounds, alcohol monomers. , hydrogen bond alcohol (O-H). Analysis of the swelling test values ​​obtained were, 146%, 236%, 243%, 317%, and 474%.

Abstract

Motivating staff at the professional level requires different patterns and styles. Supporting systems offered need to pay attention to support their career development so that automation performance endorses the formation of a lecturer's career. The research method carried out in this paper is a qualitative research method. The target respondents are lecturers at the Kutaraja Banda Aceh Polytechnic with Good Accreditation, with a total of 12 respondents.From the results of this article, the respondents provided quite supportive statements about the campus having provided a supporting system to support lecturers' self-development motivation by establishing institutions. Furthermore, the work evaluation results dominated the conclusion of the interview results, with the process being carried out following the lecturer's obligations. Some lecturers felt that the evaluation had not been carried out maximally.

Abstract

The uniqueness of the Baduy tribe is a special attraction for local, national and international tourists. The Baduy tribe has a very close relationship with local wisdom which has been passed down from generation to generation. This research is a type of literature study research with a descriptive approach, namely collecting data and information from the Baduy tribe community and various literature from various sources. Several obstacles identified as causing the slow progress of Baduy SMEs include first, limited access to digital technology. Second, digital literacy is still low among Baduy SMEs. Third, language and cultural barriers in understanding the language of the digital economy, fourth, obstacles to the lack of access to financial sources, and fifth, there is still low access and reach of digital marketing for Baduy products.

Abstract

This research is a quantitative study with a non-experimental correlational survey approach, aimed at developing and testing a theory about the influence of various factors on student academic success with academic culture as a mediator. The research population was class 8 C (PMSR) at the Faculty of Economics, Mayjen Sungkono University, Mojokerto, totaling 41 people. Data was collected through a questionnaire that measured the quality of mentoring, materials, methods, student participation, institutional support, evaluation and feedback, learning environment, academic culture, and academic success using a Likert scale. Data analysis used SmartPLS version 4.1.0.2 via Partial Least Square (PLS) analysis. The results show that the quality of mentoring, mentoring methods, and institutional support significantly improve students' academic achievement with academic culture as an important mediator.
