Abstract

It is essential for micro, small, and medium enterprises to have an organized and accurate financial recording system. However, practical observations show that many MSMEs still rely on manual bookkeeping methods that are unstructured and prone to error. Toko Bungbu Baraya, one of the culinary business units of PT Selaras Rasakoe Indonesia, served as the subject of this study. The aim of the research is to develop a digital financial recording system based on Manager.io and Microsoft Excel. This study employed a qualitative approach involving participatory observation and structured interviews with store employees. The research was conducted in July 2025 over a two-week period. The intervention began with an analysis of the existing financial recording system. Subsequently, a VBA-based Excel format was designed to accommodate the business unit’s needs, such as daily cash records, stock control, and the management of reimbursements and taxes. Once the format was finalized, the team proceeded to input the data into the Manager.io application to generate automated financial reports. The final stage involved mentoring and system socialization to the store staff. The results show that the digitalization model improved internal transparency and efficiency, as well as enhanced the regularity of financial records, reporting processes, and staff understanding of digital accounting systems. This model can also be adopted by other MSMEs with similar conditions.

Abstract

Micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) play a crucial role in the Indonesian economy, contributing significantly to gross domestic product (GDP) and employment. However, rapidly increasing digitalisation poses new challenges, especially for MSMEs in rural areas, which are often less exposed to digital technology. In an effort to help MSMEs compete in a wider market, this community service programme was conducted in the Teras Ciapus community, Tamansari District, Bogor Regency, with the aim of improving promotional design skills using the Canva application. The training involved 15 (fifteen) participants and included pre-test, training, mentoring and post-test. Through this training, participants were taught basic graphic design techniques, visual communication and a demonstration of how to use Canva as an easily accessible design tool. The results of the training showed a significant improvement in the participants' ability to understand graphic design principles and their ability to use Canva. Participants now feel more capable and confident in using digital design to support the marketing of their MSME products. The training also provided new insights into the importance of adapting to digital technology to expand market access and strengthen the position of local products in the face of competition. The programme not only developed participants' technical skills, but also raised awareness of the benefits of digital promotion as a more effective business strategy.

Financial literacy skills are crucial for micro-entrepreneurs to sustainably manage and develop their businesses. Financial literacy encompasses the ability to manage income and expenses, record financial records, save, invest, and make sound financial decisions. Low levels of financial literacy and limited use of digital Payment systems are also still found among small business owners in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province, including the songkok resam artisans in Sengir Village. This Community Service activity was conducted in Sengir Village, Payung District, South Bangka Regency, Bangka Belitung Islands Province, from November to December 2025. The method used was a participatory approach that emphasized active community involvement in every stage of the activity. From the results and discussion, it can be concluded that increasing financial literacy and the implementation of QRIS-based Payment digitalization have had a positive impact on songkok resam artisans in Sengir Village. Indicators of success include increased knowledge of artisans regarding business financial management, the ability to perform simple record keeping, and the number of participants who successfully own and use QRIS in transactions.
