Abstract

In the era of growing globalization, business strategy is used to improve the performance of a company so that business strategy can be used as a reference to the plans that occur or steps designed to achieve company goals in the long term and how companies build and improve their competitive position in the industry with the products and services they produce in the market industry. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach to analyze the problem of declining sales at Kasiaclothing. Using Business Model Canvas as an analytical tool, this research identifies nine interrelated business elements. The resulting strategy includes the integration of offline and online marketing through the optimization of 9 business model canvas elements. This research is expected to contribute to the development of research in the field of business strategy.

Abstract

CV. Aliyen Bag is a company engaged in the production of backpacks. The problem that often occurs in this bag production company is the presence of defective products. The defect tolerance set by the company is 2.5%. In an effort to minimize defects in backpack products, the purpose of this study is to determine the factors that cause product defects and the most dominant defects that can affect product quality. This research uses Statistical Quality Control (SQC) and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) methods. Based on the results of data processing, discussion and analysis, it is obtained that the most dominant factor causing defects is that the machine does not work optimally and the lighting environment is lacking, the most dominant defect is the RPN obtained is 160 which is caused by lack of lighting. This proposed improvement because of the high RPN results in lighting, it is proposed immediately by measuring the lux lighting with the results of 22500 lumens rounded up to 10 lamps with an average of 2300 lumens or 19 W. The implementation of this proposal is expected to improve product quality and minimize the occurrence of product defects, reduce costs due to defects, and increase customer satisfaction with the products produced.

Abstract

Using Industry 4.0-based technology, this research aims to improve the efficiency of broiler feeding. The automated feeding system developed is capable of regulating the schedule and amount of feed with great accuracy and enables remote monitoring through the Internet of Things (IoT). The results show that, when compared to manual methods, this technology can increase productivity by up to 20%, reduce operational costs, and accelerate the payback time of investment by up to 27%. With these findings, there is a great opportunity to increase competition in Indonesian broiler farming.

Abstract

The problem of urban waste management is a big challenge in Garut Regency. This research designs waste transportation routes using the Capacitated Vehicle Routing Problem (CVRP) method with a combination of Saving Matrix and Nearest Neighbor algorithms. This method is more efficient than other algorithms such as genetics, with a simple application that is relevant for urban areas. The results show that the number of routes can be reduced from 12 to 9 (25%), the travel distance reduced from 518.18 km to 312.69 km (a saving of 205.49 km), and the operational cost dropped from Rp 17,618,120 to Rp 10,631,460 (a saving of Rp 6,986,660 or 39.65%). In addition to supporting cost and time efficiency, this method reduces vehicle emissions and environmental impacts. This study provides a practical solution for the Environmental Agency (DLH) and opens up opportunities for IoT technology integration in the future.

Abstract

CV. XYZ is a company engaged in the garment manufacturing industry, specifically in the production of Muslim clothing. The problem faced by CV. XYZ is the failure to meet production targets. The inability to achieve hourly production targets is due to the presence of bottlenecks at several workstations. A bottleneck is a term used to describe a condition where a workstation has a lower capacity than the production requirements. The aim of this research is to identify and analyze the factors causing bottlenecks in the production process at CV. XYZ. The method used to address this issue is the Time and Motion Study method. The new working method was derived from the process of identifying movements and work times. The results showed that bottlenecks could be resolved by improving the working method. One way to minimize bottlenecks is by designing a new working method, which is achieved by eliminating ineffective and inefficient activities or work elements. The implementation of the time and motion study method successfully increased production efficiency compared to the previous method. This is reflected in the reduction of the production cycle time from 300 seconds to 158 seconds. The application of time and motion studies in this research has made a significant contribution to the development of production management theory, particularly in understanding the impact of bottlenecks on company performance. Therefore, the results of this study can serve as a reference for manufacturing companies in identifying and addressing bottlenecks in the production process.

Abstract

Perkembangan ekonomi yang pesat meningkatkan persaingan bisnis, termasuk di industri makanan dan minuman (Food and Beverage/F&B) yang menjadi penopang ekonomi Indonesia dan mengalami pertumbuhan signifikan dalam 14 tahun terakhir. Namun, pandemi Covid-19 pada 2020 menyebabkan penurunan tajam di sektor ini. Loyalitas pelanggan dan citra merek terbukti menjadi kunci bagi perusahaan besar seperti McDonald's dan Kopi Kenangan untuk bertahan. Penelitian ini berfokus pada industri F&B di Jawa Barat, yang mengalami pertumbuhan terbesar di Indonesia, dengan tujuan mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi loyalitas pelanggan. Menggunakan metode PLS-SEM, penelitian ini menganalisis hubungan antara kualitas produk, kualitas pelayanan, dan kepuasan pelanggan sebagai variabel mediasi. Hasil penelitian yang peneliti dapatkan merupakan hasil dari observasi secara langsung, dari faktor kepuasan konsumen, kualitas dan produk, dan kualitas pelayanan data yang didapat menghasilkan bahwa, faktor kualitas pelayanan sangat signifikan positif dan efektif dalam membangun loyalitas pelanggan di sektor F&B.

Abstract

Employee performance improvement is a key factor in driving the competitiveness of small and medium industries (SMEs), especially in developing countries. Two important aspects that are believed to influence performance are organizational culture and ergonomics. This study aims to analyze the influence of organizational culture and ergonomics on employee performance in the SME sector. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method of 250 respondents selected using a saturated sampling technique. Data were analyzed using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method with the help of the AMOS version 22 application. The results of the analysis show that organizational culture has a positive and significant effect on employee performance with a CR value = 2.238 and p = 0.021. Meanwhile, ergonomics also has a positive and significant effect on performance with a CR value = 2.351 and p = 0.009. These findings indicate that strengthening organizational culture and implementing ergonomic principles in the work environment play an important role in improving employee performance. Therefore, collaboration between cultural and ergonomic aspects needs to be a strategic priority in SME development.

Abstract

The need for competent human resources (HR) is crucial in facing the challenges of the industrial revolution 4.0. The iGeneration generation, as a digital native generation, has significant potential in encouraging the strengthening of the Occupational Safety and Health (OHS) culture towards achieving zero accidents. This study aims to analyze the strategy for optimizing OHS culture through the role of iGeneration with a qualitative approach based on Literature Review. The results of the study indicate that workers' understanding of OHS culture is still low and compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) is not optimal. iGeneration plays a role in building technology-based innovations, such as accident detection systems, education through digital videos, interactive OHS applications, game-based virtual training, and collaboration on digital work platforms. This initiative contributes to increasing OHS awareness and can be a strategic indicator for achieving zero accidents in the workplace.

Abstract

Bank Sampah Amal Haqiqi (BSA Haqiqi) adalah inisiatif baru dalam pengelolaan sampah di Kabupaten Garut. Konsep bank sampah ini memungkinkan penduduk untuk berpartisipasi dengan menyetorkan sampah sebagai bentuk tabungan yang dapat digunakan sebagai jaminan untuk ditukar dengan uang ataupun lainnya. Ini adalah upaya inovatif untuk mengubah sampah menjadi sumber daya yang berharga. Dalam konteks pengelolaan transportasi pengangkutan sampah BSA Haqiqi, permasalahan Vehicle Routing Problem (VRP) muncul. VRP melibatkan penentuan rute optimal untuk kendaraan yang harus melayani sejumlah konsumen dengan pembatasan kapasitas dan batasan waktu. Untuk mengatasi masalah ini, digunakan metode matriks penyimpanan (Saving matrix) yang efektif dalam merencanakan rute kendaraan dengan mempertimbangkan kapasitas maksimum. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan metode Saving Matrix menghasilkan penghematan signifikan dalam jarak tempuh kendaraan pengangkutan sampah, dengan perbedaan sejauh 14 kilometer atau 14 persen. Selain itu, total waktu tempuh kendaraan mengalami pengurangan sebesar 63 menit atau 10 persen, dan pengeluaran operasional berkurang sebesar Rp. 23.000 atau 2 persen. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi penting dalam meningkatkan efisiensi operasional BSA Haqiqi dalam pengelolaan sampah, dengan menggabungkan konsep bank sampah dan pemecahan masalah VRP melalui metode Saving Matrix. Dengan demikian, upaya ini dapat menjadi model yang bermanfaat untuk pengelolaan sampah berkelanjutan di daerah lain.

Abstract

Pengelolaan risiko dalam proses bisnis rantai pasok merupakan aspek krusial dalam memastikan kelancaran operasional dan keberlanjutan industri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi risiko utama dalam rantai pasok, menganalisis dampaknya terhadap efisiensi operasional, serta mengembangkan strategi mitigasi berbasis pendekatan House of Risk (HOR). Metodologi yang digunakan mencakup identifikasi risiko menggunakan Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA), analisis probabilitas dampak, serta pemetaan strategi mitigasi yang tepat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa risiko utama berasal dari ketidakpastian pasokan bahan baku dan ketidaksesuaian permintaan pasar, yang dapat menghambat produktivitas. Implementasi strategi mitigasi berbasis HOR mampu mengurangi tingkat risiko secara signifikan dan meningkatkan efisiensi rantai pasok. Studi ini memberikan kontribusi bagi industri dalam meningkatkan daya saing melalui pendekatan proaktif dalam manajemen risiko rantai pasok.
