For checking the validity of the data, this research is using data triangulation techniques that is divided into three stages, explicitly triangulation techniques, time, and sources. Data analysis is carried out into three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion verification. The results of this study shows that the method of learning the Qur'an at the Zainun Nafi Science Park used the Ummi method. The implementation of the Ummi method in learning the Qur'an at Zainun Nafi Science Park has been running well and in accordance with the system proposed by the Ummi Foundation, both in terms of learning materials, achievement targets, and learning stages. Al-Qur'an learning is carried out from Monday to Friday with a duration of 60 minutes. The learning process uses the classical method of reading and listening, the time required to complete the material for 40 meetings, and it can be faster than the predetermined target. The main elements of the Ummi method are Ummi's 3 strengths, namely methods, systems, and quality teachers. Each method certainly has advantages and disadvantages for its application in an institution and overcome the shortcomings of the application of the Ummi method. Thus, Zainun Nafi Science Park conduct internal and external supervision, manage an evaluation of the Qur'an teacher once a week, and cooperate with parents through parenting as well as holding a home visit program.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis research aims to describe and analyze leadership styles in enhancing teacher motivation. The research was conducted at Pondok Pesantren Jagat’ Arsy, with KH Budi Rahman Hakim, PhD (Abah Jagat) as the head of the Islamic boarding school as the research subject. Data were obtained through interviews, observations, and documentation. The data analysis technique in this study followed the following procedures: data reduction, data presentation, conclusion, and verification. The results of this research explain the leadership styles applied by Abah Jagat in enhancing teacher motivation, which involves one leadership style and, in certain aspects, different leadership styles. The dominant leadership styles applied are charismatic and transformational leadership, although, on the other hand, an authoritarian leadership style is also implemented. This is reinforced by the leadership functions applied by Abah Jagat and the forms of motivation provided following Maslow’s Need Hierarchy Theory: a) motivating teachers by fulfilling their physiological needs, b) creating motivation to fulfil teachers’ security needs, c) providing motivation by addressing teachers’ need for affection, d) providing motivation for teachers’ self-actualization needs. Keywords: Leadership Style, Work Motivation, Islamic Boarding School

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the role of information technology in the public relations of educational institutions. The function of public relations in educational institutions is very important. Because with good public relations, educational institutions can continue their existence so that they can use it as a way to make their institutions exist and have a good image in society. Parts of the internet used by public relations in connecting with the public are websites, electronic mail, online bulletins, instant messages, blogs, and social networks. Of course, apart from using the internet, public relations work is still supported by the use non internet media and also face to face. The use of any media does not alter the fundamental function of public relations as a link between organizations with stakeholders, that media as supporting facilities of public relations work.Keyword : Information technology, public relations, education
