Abstract

The Kampus Merdeka initiative, launched by the Indonesian Ministry of Education and Culture, provides university students with opportunities to gain off-campus learning experiences and contribute to improving educational quality, particularly in enhancing literacy and numeracy. This study examines the implementation of the Kampus Mengajar program at SMP Negeri 3 Watampone, Bone Regency, using a qualitative descriptive approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving school principals, teachers, and participating students. The data analysis process involved data condensation, presentation, and conclusion drawing, with a focus on data validity. The implementation process was divided into three stages: pre-assignment, assignment and reporting, and post-assignment. While the program largely follows national guidelines and shows positive contributions to school activities, several major challenges were identified. These include disparities in the perception and policy regarding semester credit recognition between universities and the Ministry of Education, limited benchmarks to measure program effectiveness, varying capacities of student participants, and a lack of structured mechanisms to sustain the program's outcomes. To address these issues, the study recommends the standardization of academic credit conversion policies, improved preparatory training to strengthen student competencies, the development of clear evaluation metrics for effectiveness, and the integration of program sustainability plans into future cycles of Kampus Mengajar. These recommendations are critical to ensuring the long-term success and consistency of this national education initiative.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the implementation of the Five Days in Ma’had program as a solution to the social care character crisis at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Fathaniah Paiton Probolinggo. Amid the influence of globalization and technology, which promote individualism, social values such as empathy, social sensitivity, and mutual cooperation are increasingly marginalized, leading to the decay of social care character among students. This program is designed to provide hands-on experience that can strengthen students' social character within a five-day period, with evaluations conducted by parents. A qualitative approach with a case study design was used to examine the impact of the program on character management among students. The results indicate that this program can enhance social care and have a positive impact on students' behavioral changes in their social contexts through four key aspects: 1) development of a practical-based curriculum, 2) program learning evaluation based on parental roles, 3) role model figures of Kiai, and 4) more massive habituation. The Five Days in Ma’had program offers a comprehensive approach to character development that is more effective and contextual. The program also succeeded in instilling the habit of sharing among students.

Abstract

This study aims to identify challenges and dynamics in the implementation of clinical supervision to improve the professionalism of educators at MA Mukhtar Syafa'at school. The method used is a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection through in-depth interviews, direct observation, and documentation analysis. Key informants include educational supervisors, principals, and teachers. The results of the study indicate several major challenges in the implementation of clinical supervision, including differences in perception between supervisors and teachers regarding the purpose of supervision, lack of supervisor skills in providing constructive feedback, and high teacher workloads that limit participation in supervision. In addition, it was found that clinical supervision is often considered an administrative formality without providing a significant impact on teacher professional development. Observations also revealed that although the reflective approach has begun to be applied, its implementation is often inconsistent. This study recommends the need for ongoing training for supervisors to improve supervision competency, integration of clinical supervision with teacher work schedules, and development of supervision guidelines that are relevant to the local context. These findings are expected to provide strategic insights to improve the effectiveness of clinical supervision and support educator professionalism in a sustainable manner.
