Abstract

Workplace burnout manifests as a psychological syndrome stemming from a protracted reaction to chronic interpersonal stressors. Burnout can lead to long-term fatigue and inability to work. The burnout phenomenon affects occupations of all professions, but a large number of studies show that people with jobs that involve helping others or social workers are particularly vulnerable to burnout. Work motivation is linked to individual behavior in suppressing stress in work situations. Work motivation functions as a form of encouragement that directs a person's behavior in a challenging problem. The present investigation aimed to ascertain the correlation between burnout and work motivation in Civil Servants stationed at the Office of Public Works, Spatial Planning, Housing, and Residential Areas (DPUPRPKP) of Bali Province. This research is an analytic descriptive research with cross sectional design. The subjects in this study were 150 civil servants at the DPUPRPKP of Bali Province. The sampling technique employed was stratified random sampling. Data manipulation shall be carried out using Microsoft Excel, encompassing both univariate and bivariate analyses. The instruments utilized comprise the Maslach Burnout Inventory-General Survey (MBI-GS) questionnaire to gauge the extent of burnout, alongside the Abraham Maslow Model questionnaire to assess work motivation levels. The findings from this inquiry unveil a significant association between burnout and work motivation (p=0.000), with the correlation coefficient measuring at -0.959. This robust correlation indicates an opposing direction, wherein heightened burnout levels among civil servant correspond to diminished work motivation.

Abstract

Stunting is a condition that fails to grow in children under five so that the child becomes too short for his age. The standard stunting measurement is based on the body length index compared to age (PB / U) or height compared to age (TB / U) with a limit (z-score) less than -2 SD from the WHO child growth nutritional status table. Stunting events are influenced by several factors, one of which is Low Birth Weight (LBW). The purpose of this study was to find out if there is a LBW relationship with stunting events in children aged 2-5 years in Sidan Village of Health Center Gianyar I Working Area in 2019. This study is a analitic study with a case control approach. The sample in this study was all children aged 2-5 years in sidan village. This research sampling technique is a total sampling with a sample number of 58 respondents who meet the criteria of inclusion and exclusion. Data collection using observation sheets and mother and child health (KIA) books. Data analysis using the Chi-square test with α=0.05. Abstract

[The Effect of Brain Gymnastics on Short-Term Memory in Students of the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences, University of Warmadewa] Cognitive function is a complex function in the human brain that involves both short-term and long-term memory. Short-term memory upholds various aspects of life, for instance, academic achievement, so it needs to be trained. Short-term memory can be trained by doing brain exercises. It can optimize brain function. Brain exercise is a sequence of simple movements that can improve short-term memory. This is an experimental study that uses a quasi- experimental method with a pre-test and post-test control group design. The aim of this study is to determine the effect of brain exercises on students' short-term memory at the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences, University of Warmadewa. This study uses students of the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences, University of Warmadewa, class of 2021, as the sample. Purposive sampling is used as a sampling technique. The result of the statistical analysis shows a significant increase in the short-term memory of the experimental group that was given brain exercises 4 times a week for 2 weeks in both subtenses digit forward (p = 0.001) and digit backward (p = 0.002). On the other hand, in the control group who were not given brain exercise training, there was no increase in short-term memory in the digit forward (p = 0.162) and digit backward (p = 0.257) subtests. This study demonstrates that there is a positive effect of giving brain exercises on short-term memory in students of the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences, University of Warmadewa.
