Abstract

Websites are usually used as a means of conveying or searching for information, for example in the field of borrowing library books. In the development of technology, students are not enough just to be users but must understand more or less how to create websites. Currently, the Medan 4 Methodist school has never implemented practical learning in creating websites, they have only studied Microsoft Office. With the development of technology, schools should have introduced ways of creating websites at the high school level which can later be applied to the school environment and outside the school environment. After holding discussions with the Medan Methodist 4 High School, they needed a complete briefing on the basics of creating a website. This Community Service is a solution to answer the challenges posed by the Medan 4 Methodist High School. This service will provide training to several high school students to become proficient in creating websites. The priority issues include improving skills in website applications, creating students who are skilled in creating website applications. This training can increase students' knowledge regarding creating library websites which can later be improved to create a book lending website at the Medan 4 Methodist School library. This should be overcome with a website-based library information system, because with a website-based information system library data management can be more effective so that the circulation of book loans can be well documented and more effective. With this training, students will be able to contribute a website to the school as their creation.

Abstract

This community service activity provided counseling to 24 class XII IPA1 students at Mater Dei High School, Pamulang sub-district, South Tangerang municipality. The counseling aims to know, understand and understand the use of PLTS using solar cells which produce a direct/DC output voltage to supply light bulbs when they are on. The counseling method for students to understand PLTS scientific material is theoretically presented in the classroom for 90 minutes. Then proceed to find out and understand the benefits of PLTS using solar cells to produce output voltage to supply light bulbs when they are on outside the classroom. The extension activity of illuminating the surface area of ​​solar cells with sunlight outside the classroom for 90 minutes is carried out by five (5) students per group taking turns accompanied by members of the extension team with the aim of practical knowledge and understanding. Each group of students takes an average of 16 minutes to shine sunlight on the surface area of ​​the solar cell which produces electrical power when the light bulb is on or off. The results of the implementation of counseling on the condition of the light bulb is on, the voltage value on the lamp load is Vb(lamp) = 4.46 volts when bright sunlight shines on the surface area of ​​the solar cell. Then, if the light bulb does not light up, the voltage value on the light load changes to 0.351 volts, when sunlight is blocked or blocked from reaching the surface area of ​​the solar cell. The results of the outreach activities were 24 students responding to six (6) questions with multiple choice answers listed on the questionnaire form that had been prepared. A total of 23 people chose useful answers to the content of the material presented, a total of 22 people chose interesting answers to questions about the material presented by the speaker and as many as 21 people chose useful answers for the entire extension activity event.

Abstract

Prevalence of stunting in children in Indonesia at the national level is around 37%. Various efforts are made to reduce and prevent the incidence of stunting, one of the efforts to overcome this is the fulfillment of nutrition in children. one of the efforts to overcome this is the fulfillment of nutrition in children. One of One of the micronutrients that is important for child growth is iron. Lack of iron deficiency can cause stunting and impaired cognitive development in children. children. Iron is found in many foods, including watermelon. At Some people dislike the consumption of fruit directly. This becomes a challenge in itself where there needs to be an effort to process watermelon fruit into a dosage form that is favored by children, namely soft candy. One of one of the main ingredients for making soft candy is gelatin which needs to be considered its halalness. Therefore, there is assistance in making watermelon soft candy as halal nutrition to meet the iron needs of children as an effort to prevent stunting in MT Annisa, MT Annisa, MT Annisa, MT Annisa, MT Annisa. to prevent stunting in MT Annisa, Madiun City. The method in this activity begins with a pretest, then socialization and workshops, and ends with a posttest. The pretest results showed that only 9.09%, while the posttest results were 54.55% of residents who understood the knowledge and process of making halal watermelon soft candy for making halal watermelon soft candy for stunting prevention nutrition. This shows an increase in community knowledge after attending socialization and workshop looks different.

Abstract

Kartika Chips is a business in the form of a shop engaged in the sale of snack products, specifically chips. This shop does not only sell one product but several products, including taro chips with three flavors, soleh banana chips, original banana chips and breadfruit chips, this shop takes selected raw materials and also does not use preservatives which makes the products in this shop very high quality. The owner and founder of the Kartika Chips business is Mr. Suparlan. So far, Mr. Suparlan admits that, for promotion related to the place of business and the products being sold, it is still lacking, so there are still many people who do not know about the Kartika Chips shop and the products being sold. Therefore, motivation arose from the Community Service Team (PkM) of the Victory Sorong University Information Systems Study Program to help the Kartika Chips store in terms of promotion. With the help of promotion, products from the Kartika Chips shop are better known by many people and can cover a wider market, because promotions are carried out digitally, namely using the website as a promotional tool and media. After the team did an evaluation, there were no problems with the results of partner satisfaction with this product promotion website.

Abstract

Indonesia is an agricultural country with a broad forest area with agricultural areas everywhere and evenly distributed. The Cepu Subdistrict area has fairly broad and has not been fully utilized maximally. The main priority faced by consistent water needs to maintain soil fertility. Solution This need is needed a good irrigation system during the dry season. Conventionally the use of diesel water pumps with fuel for agricultural irrigation systems is needed expensive and ineffective. The utilization of solar power for water pumps is one of the alternatives to reliable, efficient, effective, and efficient solutions to keep the irrigation system running well during the dry season. This service has successfully implemented the use of solar panels of 200WP to run a submersible pump with a depth of ± 4 meters infiltration well. This applied technology uses a timer automation system that runs pump performance during the day. For irrigation systems, implement an automation system in water with 2: 1 where 2 hours of watering and 1-hour filling water reservoir. This application can improve the planting results from farmers around Perhutani land. The land that is originally difficult with water will guarantee the water needs during the dry period.

Abstract

The floating village of Lake Tempe is one of the villages around Lake Tempe, Wajo Regency. The livelihood of the community is generally fishing. Training on the use of fish waste into organic liquid fertilizer (POC) was carried out using lecture and demonstration methods. The Lecture Method is used to increase public understanding regarding the use of fish waste which can be used as Liquid Organic Fertilizer (POC) which is good for maintaining soil fertility and is beneficial for plants and helps reduce environmental pollution caused by fish waste. Next, a direct practice/demonstration was carried out regarding the methods for making the POC. Liquid organic fertilizer (POC), which uses fish waste, takes 14 days to make. The results of making liquid organic fertilizer (POC) were given to participants, not just giving it away but providing information on how to make fertilizer and the dosage for applying it so that residents and farmers could try and gain knowledge of making liquid organic fertilizer (POC). In this training activity, participants were very enthusiastic about taking part in the training, as evidenced by their enthusiastic attitude towards the material presented. The enthusiastic attitude of the training participants was shown through the many questions during the training. It is hoped that after this training activity is completed, participants will be interested in trying to apply it in their respective living environments.

Abstract

One of the pests that attacks oil palm plants is Oryctes rhinoceros Linn, known as a pest that borers oil palm shoots by sucking fluids and making holes in the midribs of leaves, stems and fruit. This horn beetle pest attacks oil palm plants planted in the field until they are 2.5 years old by destroying the growing point, resulting in damage to young leaves. So far, control has been carried out using chemical pesticides. The consequences of excessive use of pesticides can cause environmental problems. To avoid these consequences, natural horn beetle pest control is carried out using pineapple juice. This program is carried out to provide knowledge to the public about how to control horn beetle pests (Oryctes Rhinoceros) using fruit traps containing pineapple fruit. Socialization activities for controlling horn beetles (Oryctes Rhinoceros) using fruit traps containing pineapple fruit in Payarengas Village, Hinai District, Langkat Regency for 1 month from 14 August to 14 September 2023. Installing fruit traps containing pineapple fruit in the land shows potential as a pest control horn beetles naturally. With community service activities, oil palm farmers can provide education and innovation in controlling horn beetle pests using fruit traps made from pineapples.

Abstract

Fuel oil, coal and gas are some of the energy sources that are widely used by the people of Indonesia. Charcoal briket are a biomass energy source that is biodegradable and environmentally friendly which is one of the alternative fuels. The basic material for making briket charcoal consists of various materials such as agricultural, plantation, and household waste. One of the agricultural commodities of the community of Rumah Galuh Village, Sei Bungai District, Langkat Regency is areca nut. Solid waste in the form of areca nut peel has the potential to be used in briket making materials that can increase the use and economic value of the waste. The implementation procedure starts from burning, grinding, sieving, making adhesives, making dough, molding, drying briket, to testing briket, then socialization to the community. As the ultimate goal of Community Service, with this activity, areca nut skin waste which is usually only burned can be used as goods of economic value, providing education to the community regarding the use of areca nut skin waste into charcoal briket so that in the future it can increase the income of the people of Rumah Galuh Village.

Abstract

The village of Mlandingan Kulon is situated near the coast, holding significant potential in the field of fisheries. Many of its inhabitants work as fishermen, and various types of fish caught by these fishermen are sold at the local market of Mlandingan Kulon Village. Among the high-quality fish catches, there is tuna. Tuna fish is a highly meaningful source of protein as it contains more than 20% protein. Protein plays a crucial role in the formation of body tissues such as muscles, bones, skin, and other organs, especially in toddlers. Nuggets have a relatively long shelf life when stored in cold or frozen conditions. Fish nuggets possess numerous advantages, including being a nutritious and valuable food, having a soft texture, a variety of flavors, and being suitable for various ages. Consequently, a campaign is being conducted to introduce the Nugget Tuna (GETTA) product to the mothers at the integrated health post of Mlandingan Kulon Village. The purpose of this campaign is to introduce processed tuna fish in the form of nuggets as Supplementary Feeding (PMT) for toddlers. These tuna fish nuggets contain beneficial nutritional content for toddler health and can help improve their nutritional status. The campaign is conducted through posters explaining the composition, benefits, and process of making tuna fish nuggets. Subsequently, a video is shown that illustrates the steps of making Nugget Tuna (GETTA). The result of this campaign is an enhancement of knowledge among the mothers at the integrated health post regarding the importance of providing Supplementary Feeding (PMT) to toddlers.

Abstract

Foster home is fostering institution that has a boarding system. Foster children who live in crowded environments with poor sanitation and low personal hygiene are risk factors that can facilitate the emergence of various health problems including infectious diseases. The results of preliminary survey at the YABNI Padang Foster Home show the fact that there are several health problems experienced by foster children, one of which frequently appears is skin disease. According to the management, this occurs due to the low awareness of foster children in implementing healthy behavior both personally and in maintaining a clean environment. The large number of children in foster care with a relatively small number of managers means that health-related guidance and monitoring efforts do not run optimally. The local health center also does not carry out routine visits. The solution offered to overcome this problem is to provide education about the importance of implementing personal hygiene and maintaining environmental sanitation. This education is important to provide to increase understanding and awareness of foster children in order to prevent and minimize the emergence of health problems in the future.
