Abstract

The era of the 21st century, which is synonymous with the era of the industrial revolution 4.0, is marked by various forms of paradigm change. The development of the modern world provides a new touch in the world of education that needs to be adjusted by educators and educated alike. Therefore, the aim of this research is to provide assistance to elementary science teachers in understanding the applications they want to apply in this study. One application that is often used is Canvas. This application is often used to design information using images, very unique icons that are able to convey information to readers in a simple and easily understood manner. Science material is one of the lessons that contains environmental pictures and calculations. Therefore, to improve the quality of learning for Grade IV elementary school students, Canvas media will be assisted as an interesting teaching material that is liked by elementary school students. Based on the results of research conducted using the interview method at 3 elementary schools, namely SDI Besterin, SDK Manumuti and SDK Betun I, namely before being given treatment the absorption and completeness values ​​were below the standard of 65% and 80% due to the lack of understanding of teachers in utilizing technology in the current era. After being given treatment using teaching materials designed with canvas the quality of learning is quite improved with absorption and completeness values ​​above average. This is because researchers provide special assistance to science teachers in operating canvas applications so that in applying them to students the teacher has total control.

Abstract

This article aims to explain the differences in meanings between the words "refreshing" and "healing," and to elaborate on how social factors influence the interpretations of these two words. The method used in this research is descriptive-qualitative. Data collection techniques involve questionnaire, interview, and library study. The data is analyzed based on the sociolinguistic approach. The results of the study show that generally people use the words "refreshing" and "healing" without knowing the meanings of these two words. These words are even used interchangeably and are considered recreational words. However, both words have different meanings, either in terms of internal aspects of language (semantics) or in terms of external aspects of language (sociolinguistics). The term "refreshing" literally means "making you feel cooler or less tired"; and, something very different and interesting. The word "healing" is defined as a process of recovery, both physically and emotionally. In a social context, "refreshing" can refer to pleasant and invigorating social interactions; whereas, the word "healing" can reflect the culture of care and social support in certain societies.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the impact of using local wisdom-based learning media "Eclipse Ammu Pe" on students' interest and learning outcomes in science subjects at the primary school level. The research method used was a pretest-posttest control group experimental design involving students of class V of SDN Fatke. Learning outcome data were measured using pretest and posttest written tests. In addition, students' interest in learning was also assessed through observation and questionnaire. The results of data analysis showed that the experimental group using local wisdom-based learning media experienced a significant increase in learning outcomes and also showed a higher increase in learning interest compared to the control group. Statistical tests showed a low significance value (0.000) for the effect of learning media on students' learning outcomes and interest in learning. These results indicate that the use of local wisdom-based learning media "Eclipse Ammu Pe" has a positive impact on students' interest in science and learning outcomes. The implications include the potential for developing more contextualized and interesting learning strategies as well as the application of local wisdom-based learning media in science education. However, this study has limitations in terms of generalizability and consideration of other factors that may influence students' interest and learning outcomes. Further research is needed to gain a comprehensive understanding of the study.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of problem-based learning model/PBL towards narrative text (folklore) writing ability based on local wisdom in second semester students of English Education Study Program in Citra Bangsa University (UCB). This study applies a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design. The sampling technique uses saturation sampling (census) where the total population is less than 30 therefore the total sample in this study is the same as the total population, 20 students. Data collection technique uses an essay test. Before the instrument is distributed, there are validity and reliability tests to obtain the validity of the instrument. The results of the validity test shows that 20 items are valid and reliable/consistent. The hypothesis analysis requirements test consists of normality test, data homogeneity and data analysis techniques using the t-test. The results of the data normality test show that the sig. in the control class 0.333> 0.05 and the experimental class 0.366> 0.05 so that both are normally distributed. While the results of the homogeneity test show that the probability value is 0.449> 0.05, then the two classes can be said to be homogeneous. The results of the difference test on the average of writing ability of narrative text (folklore) based on local wisdom for the control class and the experimental class show that the average of writing ability of narrative text (folklore) based on local wisdom for the experimental class is higher than the average of writing ability of narrative text (folklore) based on local wisdom of the control class, which is 85.35> 77.15 and the score of sig. on the independent t-test shows a result of 0.000 <0.005. In conclusion, Problem-Based Learning model influences narrative text (folklore) writing ability based on local wisdom in second semester students of English Education Study Program in Citra Bangsa University (UCB).

Abstract

Abstract. Mathematics learning carried out in schools currently is still formal and theoretical based on textbooks and is less varied. This has an impact on students' desire to learn mathematics. Thus, there needs to be a relationship between school mathematics and mathematics outside of school. An ethnomathematics approach can be used to connect culture and mathematics. In addition, mathematics that integrates culture will have a significant impact on mathematics lessons. The aim of this research is to gain an understanding of the geometric concepts found in "tepak sirih". Descriptive research with a qualitative approach. Data was collected through studies literature. The data was analyzed using the stages of data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions and verification. The results of the research show the mathematical concepts contained in tepak betel, which are related to geometry with the topic of flat shapes consisting of the concepts and principles of isosceles trapezoids, rectangles, and congruence of flat shapes, as well as parallel lines. Abstrak. Pembelajaran matematika yang dilaksanakan di sekolah saat ini masih bersifat  formal dan teoritis berdasaran buku teks serta kurang variative. Hal ini memberikan berdampak pada keinginan siswa untuk belajar matematika. Dengan demikian, perlu ada hubungan antara matematika sekolah dan matematika di luar sekolah. Pendekatan etnomatematika dapat digunakan untuk menghubungkan budaya dan matematika. Selain itu, matematika yang mengintegrasikan budaya akan memiliki dampak yang signifikan terhadap Pelajaran matematika. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan pemahaman tentang konsep geometri yang ditemukan pada tepak sirih. Penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Data dikumpulkan melalui studi literatur. Data dianalisis dengan tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, menarik kesimpulan dan verifikasi. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan konsep matematika yang terdapat pada tepak sirih, yaitu berkaitan dengan geometri dengan topik bangun datar yang terdiri dari konsep dan prinsip trapezium sama kaki, persegi Panjang, dan kekongruenan bangun datar, serta garis sejajar.

Abstract

Abstract. The utilization of individually tailored learning systems facilitated by artificial intelligence (AI) yields substantial advantages in comprehending mathematical concepts among students. Through the capability to adapt the learning pace to each student's comprehension level, AI fosters a personalized and efficacious learning experience. This enables students to concentrate on areas demanding more attention, thereby enhancing their comfort and confidence in the process of learning mathematics. The integration of this technology not only expedites material assimilation but also establishes an environment conducive to the holistic development of mathematical skills. This research proposes an examination that seeks to scrutinize the perspective of artificial intelligence, specifically focusing on the application of ChatGPT, in mathematics education at SMA Negeri 6 Gorontalo. The research methodology employed involves descriptive analysis through the distribution of questionnaires to students. These questionnaires are crafted to probe their opinions on the efficacy of ChatGPT in enhancing comprehension and engagement in mathematics learning. Anticipated outcomes of the analysis aim to furnish profound insights into the repercussions of integrating artificial intelligence in the realm of mathematics education at the secondary school level. The research findings revealed a disjunction between the satisfaction levels of SMA Negeri 6 Gorontalo students with ChatGPT in mathematics learning and the infrequent utilization of the tool in schools. This discrepancy necessitates a thorough evaluation and policy adjustments, encompassing flexibility in smartphone usage regulations, improvements in internet connectivity, and a proactive approach to enhance student participation in the assimilation of ChatGPT into the learning process. Based on the research results, it appears that there is a gap between the level of student satisfaction with the use of ChatGPT in mathematics learning and the frequency of use which is less frequent in school. Although some students stated that they were satisfied with using ChatGPT, the majority indicated that they rarely used the application. Therefore, it is concluded that there are several barriers or inhibiting factors that may influence the low frequency of use in the school environment. Abstrak. Pemanfaatan sistem pembelajaran yang dirancang secara individual yang difasilitasi oleh kecerdasan buatan (AI) menghasilkan keuntungan besar dalam pemahaman konsep matematika di kalangan siswa. Melalui kemampuan untuk menyesuaikan kecepatan pembelajaran dengan tingkat pemahaman setiap siswa, AI menumbuhkan pengalaman belajar yang dipersonalisasi dan efektif. Hal ini memungkinkan siswa untuk berkonsentrasi pada bidang yang memerlukan perhatian lebih, sehingga meningkatkan kenyamanan dan kepercayaan diri mereka dalam proses belajar matematika. Integrasi teknologi ini tidak hanya mempercepat asimilasi materi tetapi juga menciptakan lingkungan yang kondusif bagi pengembangan keterampilan matematika secara holistik. Penelitian ini mengusulkan suatu kajian yang berupaya mencermati perspektif kecerdasan buatan, khususnya yang berfokus pada penerapan ChatGPT dalam pendidikan matematika di SMA Negeri 6 Gorontalo. Metodologi penelitian yang digunakan meliputi analisis deskriptif. Penelitian ini dibuat untuk menyelidiki pendapat mereka tentang kemanjuran ChatGPT dalam meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterlibatan dalam pembelajaran matematika. Hasil analisis yang diharapkan bertujuan untuk memberikan wawasan mendalam tentang dampak pengintegrasian kecerdasan buatan dalam bidang pendidikan matematika di tingkat sekolah menengah. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan adanya perbedaan antara tingkat kepuasan siswa SMA Negeri 6 Gorontalo terhadap ChatGPT dalam pembelajaran matematika dan jarangnya pemanfaatan alat tersebut di sekolah. Kesenjangan ini memerlukan evaluasi menyeluruh dan penyesuaian kebijakan, yang mencakup fleksibilitas peraturan penggunaan ponsel cerdas, peningkatan konektivitas internet, dan pendekatan proaktif untuk meningkatkan partisipasi siswa dalam asimilasi ChatGPT ke dalam proses pembelajaran. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, terlihat adanya kesenjangan antara tingkat kepuasan siswa terhadap penggunaan ChatGPT dalam pembelajaran matematika dan frekuensi penggunaan yang kurang sering di sekolah. Meskipun sebagian siswa menyatakan puas dengan penggunaan ChatGPT, namun mayoritas mengindikasikan bahwa mereka jarang menggunakan aplikasi tersebut. Oleh karena itu, disimpulkan bahwa terdapat beberapa hambatan atau faktor penghambat yang mungkin mempengaruhi rendahnya frekuensi penggunaan di lingkungan sekolah.

Abstract

Abstract. The different learning needs of students are met by accommodating and personalizing their education. Technology is often used to facilitate the personalization of student learning environments. However, the educational world is currently struggling to implement such an approach. The change in digital literacy practices in the context of education requires a continuous re-examination of the conceptualization of digital literature education. The research uses the method of systematic literature review (SLR) to trace selected literature from 35 Scopus indexed journals on the implementation of personalized learning using digital ICT literacy. The results of the research show that the urgent need of students for personalized learning becomes more evident as educational information progresses. Personalized Recommendation Technology (PR) can help personalized learning and improve student learning efficiency. The development of personalized learning platforms can be done based on CF (collaborative filtering) algorithms, and perform system needs analysis. But it still requires an evaluation of personalized learning features in order to be able to understand the behavioral features of learning intelligently. Abstrak. Kebutuhan pembelajaran yang berbeda dari siswa dipenuhi dengan mengakomodasi dan mempersonalisasi pendidikan mereka. Teknologi sering digunakan untuk memfasilitasi personalisasi lingkungan belajar siswa. Namun, saat ini dunia pendidikan mengalami kesulitan untuk menerapkan pendekatan tersebut. Perubahan praktik literasi digital dalam konteks pendidikan mengharuskan terus meninjau kembali konseptualisasi pendidikan literasi digital. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode systematic literature review (SLR) untuk menelusuri literatur-literatur terpilih dari 35 jurnal terindeks Scopus tentang implementasi pembelajaran dipersonalisasi menggunakan litercy ICT digital. Hasil penelitian menunjukan kebutuhan mendesak pelajar akan pembelajaran yang dipersonalisasi menjadi lebih jelas seiring dengan kemajuan informasi pendidikan. Teknologi rekomendasi yang dipersonalisasi (PR) dapat membantu pembelajaran yang dipersonalisasi dan meningkatkan efisiensi pembelajaran peserta didik. Pengembangan platform pembelajaran yang dipersonalisasi dapat dilakukan berdasarkan algoritma CF (collaborative filtering), dan melakukan analisis kebutuhan sistem. Tetapi tetap perlu adanya evaluasi fitur pembelajaran yang dipersonalisasi agar dapat memahami fitur perilaku belajar secara cerdas.

Abstract. The aim of this research is to find out the rules that apply to the education system in the United States and to find out the regulations regarding the education system in Indonesia and the implementation of education. This research method uses library research, by examining books, documents and journals as sources of information. In the process, this research uses data collection techniques in the form of content analysis. The results of the research show that in the education system in Indonesia in particular, a number of implications must be met so that the goals and benefits of SBM can be achieved in the form of changes in the roles of parties including education service officials, school supervisors, school principals, teachers and students, as well as the community and people. old students. Indonesian education stakeholders must be able to create school innovation (struggling schools) and school accountability. Therefore, it is very important to get to know the education system in America. 1) Theoretical implications provide contributions regarding education management with various approaches, concepts and theoretical approaches. 2) Practical implications contribute to professional practice, staff development, formation and development of professional organizations for educators, parents and students. Abstrak. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui aturan yang berlaku pada sistem pendidikan di Amerika Serikat (AS) dan mengetahui pengaturan mengenai sistem pendidikan di Indonesia dan pelaksanaan pendidikannya. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan library research atau penelitian kepustakaan, dengan mengkaji buku, dokumen, dan jurnal sebagai sumber informasi. Dalam prosesnya, penelitian ini menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data berupa content analysis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sistem pendidikan di Indonesia khususnya, sejumlah implikasi yang harus dipenuhi agar tujuan dan manfaat MBS dapat dicapai berupa perubahan peran dari pihak yang mencakup pejabat dinas pendidikan, para pengawas sekolah, para kepala sekolah, para guru dan siswa, maupun masyarakat dan orang tua siswa. Stakeholder pendidikan Indonesia harus mampu menciptkan inovasi sekolah (struggling schools) dan akuntabilitas sekolah. Oleh karena itu, sangatlah penting untuk mengenal sistem pendidikan di Amerika. 1) Implikasi teoritis memberikan kontribusi mengenai pengelolaan pendidkan dengan berbagai pendekatan, konsep dan pendekatan secara teoritis. 2) Implikasi praktis memberikan kontribusi dalam praktik profesional, pengembangan staf, pembentukan dan pembinaan organisasi profesional untuk pendidik, orang tua maupun siswa.

Abstract. Mentoring also plays an important role in helping teachers adapt to changes and innovations in the world of education. Through mentoring, teachers can gain a better understanding of these changes and get the support they need to implement them successfully. Literature, or bibliography study, is a very important research method in the academic world. This research involves collecting, evaluating, and analyzing written works that are relevant to the topic or research question being discussed. In carrying out literature studies, researchers can access various sources, such as scientific journals, textbooks, theses, dissertations, and popular articles. Mentors and trainees need to have clear and open communication channels to share information, questions, and problems that arise during the mentoring process. With effective communication, mentors can provide targeted guidance, and trainees can express their needs and expectations clearly. Apart from providing guidance, partnership is also about collaboration and joint learning, learning from each other, and exchanging knowledge and experience. The partnership between mentor and trainee is not just about providing guidance but also about collaboration and mutual learning. Mentors and trainees can learn from each other and exchange knowledge and experience. With active collaboration, trainees can develop new skills and knowledge, while mentors can expand their understanding through new perspectives and ideas brought by trainees. Abstrak. Mentoring juga berperan penting dalam membantu guru beradaptasi dengan perubahan dan inovasi dalam dunia pendidikan. Melalui mentoring, guru dapat mendapatkan pemahaman yang lebih baik tentang perubahan ini dan mendapatkan dukungan yang dibutuhkan untuk mengimplementasikannya dengan sukses. Studi literatur atau kepustakaan merupakan suatu metode penelitian yang sangat penting dalam dunia akademik. Penelitian ini melibatkan pengumpulan, evaluasi, dan analisis karya-karya tulis yang relevan dengan topik atau pertanyaan penelitian yang sedang dibahas. Dalam menjalankan studi literatur, peneliti dapat mengakses berbagai sumber seperti jurnal ilmiah, buku teks, tesis, disertasi, dan artikel populer.Mentor dan peserta pelatihan perlu memiliki saluran komunikasi yang jelas dan terbuka untuk berbagi informasi, pertanyaan, dan masalah yang muncul selama proses pendampingan. Dengan komunikasi yang efektif, mentor dapat memberikan bimbingan yang terarah dan peserta pelatihan dapat mengungkapkan kebutuhan dan harapannya dengan jelas.Kemitraan selain memberikan bimbingan, juga tentang kolaborasi dan pembelajaran bersama, saling belajar dan bertukar pengetahuan dan pengalaman. Kemitraan antara mentor dan peserta pelatihan bukan hanya tentang memberikan bimbingan, tetapi juga tentang kolaborasi dan pembelajaran bersama. Mentor dan peserta pelatihan bisa saling belajar dan bertukar pengetahuan dan pengalaman. Dengan kolaborasi yang aktif, peserta pelatihan dapat mengembangkan keterampilan dan pengetahuan baru, sementara mentor dapat memperluas pemahamannya melalui perspektif dan ide-ide baru yang dibawa oleh peserta pelatihan.

Abstract

Abstract. Education plays an important role in the progress and development of a country. Finland as one of the countries with the best education system can be a reference for advancing education in Indonesia. Apart from that, the thoughts of educational figure Ki Hajar Dewantara through the formulation of educational theories which are embodied in Taman Siswa education can also be a reflection of learning to improve the quality of Indonesian education today. The purpose of writing this article is to explore the excellence of education in Finland and Ki Hajar Dewantara thoughts on education. The method used is literature study and descriptive analysis to explore the results of literature study exploration. The results obtained are that the excellence of education in Finland, among others, is the existence of principles of equality, equity, and diversity in education management. Furthermore, the decentralized system, varied curriculum, learning and assessment are other advantages of education in Finland. The last is related to teacher qualifications and competencies. Meanwhile, from Ki Hajar Dewantara thinking, 8 educational theory formulations were found, namely human nature theory, natural nature theory, basic and teaching theory, among theory, tricenter theory of education, free spirit education theory, independence theory, and complete learning theory. The integration of Finnish educational excellence and the concept of KHD thinking can be a good practice that can be implemented in order to improve the quality of Indonesian education. Abstrak. Pendidikan berperan penting pada kemajuan dan perkembangan suatu negara. Finlandia sebagai salah satu negara dengan sistem pendidikan terbaik dapat menjadi acuan untuk memajukan pendidikan di Indonesia. Disamping itu, pemikiran dari tokoh pendidikan Ki Hajar Dewantara melalui rumusan teori pendidikan yang terejawentahkan dalam pendidikan Taman Siswa juga dapat menjadi cerminan pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan Indonesia saat ini. Tujuan penulisan artikel ini adalah mengeksplorasi keunggulan pendidikan di Finlandia dan pemikiran Ki Hajar Dewantara tentang pendidikan. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi literatur dan analisis deskriptif untu mendalami hasil eksplorasi studi literatur. Hasil yang diperoleh adalah keunggulan pendidikan di Finlandia antara lain adalah adanya prinsip equality, equity, dan diversity dalam pengelolaan pendidikan. Selanjutnya sistem desentralisasi, kurikulum, pembelajaran, dan penilaian yang variatif menjadi keunggulan lainnya pendidikan di Finlandia. Terakhir adalah terkait kualifikasi dan kompetensi guru. Sedangkan dari pemikiran Ki Hajar Dewantara ditemukan 8 rumusan teori pendidikan yaitu teori kodrati manusia, teori kodrat alam, teori dasar dan ajar, teori among, teori tripusat pendidikan, teori pendidikan jiwa merdeka, teori kemandirian, dan teori belajar tuntas. Integrasi keunggulan pendidikan Finlandia dan konsep pemikiran KHD dapat menjadi praktik baik yang dapat dimplementasi dalam rangka meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan Indonesia.
