Abstract

Community Service Incentive Program Community Service Integrated with Freedom to Learn Campus Freedom Based on Key Performance Indicators for 2022 entitled Strengthening Communities for Earthquake Disaster Victims through the Sanitation Program (Procurement of Clean Water and Portable MCK in Kampung Tugu Rw 3 Cibeureum Village, Cugenang, Cianjur) that held from 12th-17th December 2022. This activity aims to ensure the availability of clean water and MCK in tents of residents'. The method used is a descriptive analysis with doing observations, installing water pipes, water pumping machines and MCK, digging, casting the foundation of the water tower scaffolding, assembling and welding the water tower scaffolding then make installation. The results show that clean water and MCK are available and can be used.

Abstract

The Cianjur earthquake resulted in hundreds of deaths, minor to severe injuries, buildings destruction and landslides. Children studied in tents with appalling conditions. In addition, the impact of the earthquake that is even more serious is the emergence of trauma to children and adults. Before the earthquake happened, the children were cheerful and liked to play with their peers. The post-disaster turns the children’s feelings to gloom, quiet and afraid of the aftershocks' potential. The Directorate General of Higher Education, Research and Technology, which is involving Universitas Kristen Indonesia (UKI), is also overseeing the integrated community service (PkM) Incentive Program MBKM based on Key Performance Indicators (IKU) for Private Higher Education (PTS). The aim of the activity is to provide strength learning activity in the study tents and psychological healing for early childhood, kindergarten and elementary school students. The activities carried out are providing study tents and learning facilities, accompanying children by telling stories, playing games and ice breaking.

Abstract

This community service partnership is the initiative of the English Department at IAIN Lhokseumawe and SSB (Sekolah Sukma Bangsa). Further, under the supervision and selection of English department lecturers, EDSA (English Department Students Association) provides instructors for SSB activities. This SEFA program is an extracurricular class activity consisting of English language enrichment tutorials and activities for SSB students. This initiative was implemented between 6 June and 28 November 2022. This program's goal is to boost students' oral English potential through constant exposure in small groups. Hence, it is expected that this community service would contribute to the improvement of educational outcomes at both institutions.

Abstract

Butterfly pea flower (Clitoria Ternatea) is a vine that can be planted in the yard of the house or yard. The method used in implementing this program is a learning by doing system with the help of teaching media in the form of material modules. The counseling technique was carried out by gathering several residents in one of the local residents' houses and giving them an explanation in a direct approach. Considering that the provision of funds for butterfly pea flower cultivation and community empowerment activities has not been optimal, this community service program focuses more on introducing butterfly pea flowers for their benefits and management.

Abstract

Research to describe online learning information  results of learning mathematics for students learning to teach at home. Research using descriptive qualitative research. Sample of study were parents and teachers, class II students at SD Negeri 091320 Raya Tongah, totaling 25 people, namely 12 students, 12 parents and 1 class II teacher. Data collection techniques using documentation, interviews, observations namely. The results of the analysis of the research data obtained show that the impact experienced by students, teachers and parents learning activities of students' math scores has increased, what parents and teachers feel is still lacking in mastery of technology, additional internet quota fees, additional work in accompanying children learning, communication and socialization between students, teachers and parents is reduced.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the experiences and challenges of pre-service teachers in a community immersion program from a local higher education institution in Olongapo City, Philippines. Phenomenological method of research is used in this study which was participated by a total of 32 pre-service teacher. According to the participants, this provides them with experiences that gives them motivation and inspiration to pursue teaching. This also gave the pre-service teacher a hint of what may be experienced in the actual teaching field such as managing the class, and diversity of the learners. On the other hand, the challenges they encountered was related to the class environment. It is recommended to provide more time allocation for the implementation of community immersion.

Abstract

The purpose of this community service is to socialize land use for the community for a sustainable watershed ecosystem in Nagari Sungai Sariak, Sungai Sariak VII Koto District, Padang Pariaman Regency. This service is carried out in order to increase public understanding regarding: 1). land use, 2). Maintenance of watershed ecosystems. The results of the service that has been carried out are: 1). Increased public understanding regarding wiser land use, 2). Increased public understanding regarding the importance of sustainable watershed ecosystems. So that the availability of river water for people's lives continues to exist and can support the livelihoods of the people in Nagari Sungai Sariak, Sungai Sariak VII Koto District, Padang Pariaman Regency.

Abstract

Family financial management is a way of managing financial allocationsfamily to meet current needs, future needs, and unexpected needs that affect the family's financial condition. The problem faced by housewives is that they are unable to plan and manage finances, they manage their finances in the traditional way. There is no record of incoming and outgoing money so that at the end of each month, the use of money cannot be controlled. This community service aims to provide assistance regarding the preparation of simple financial reports including family financial management for PKK RT 06 RW 06 Kelurahan Sidodadi Lawang. This assistance is carried out so that PKK RT 06 RW 06 Kelurahan Sidodadi Lawang can manage family finances so that they avoid debt due to too many expenses in carrying out daily activities.

Abstract

Gen Z is currently facing challenges from foreign hegemony that comes with digital technology. The research analyses Gen-Z local wisdom campaign agenda in framework of counter-hegemony, digital-hegemony, and cultural-hegemony. This study uses a method based on research-based development, involving 100 Gen-Z participants with a series of discussion agendas and a local wisdom campaign on their social media. Result show that local wisdom content can be a solution for educating young people to have positive activities such as getting to know local values, increasing nationalism, and counteracting negative impacts of foreign cultural hegemony. It concluded that local wisdom can be a counter to hegemony that takes place in the new era of digital hegemony, as form of cultural hegemony.

Abstract

School health units (in Indonesian abbreviation as "UKS") in educational institutions can sustain healthy behavior and optimize student growth and development. The lack of UKS facilities and no particular UKS supervisors resulted in several health problems among the school members. From these problems, the solutions offered by this community service activity included: support for optimizing/revitalizing UKS functions and health education/counseling related to existing problems to support or improve the health of school members, especially students. This community service has been carried out by providing training and coaching for UKS cadres in the context of empowering UKS cadres to support health in schools. The training materials include first aid management, wound care, and healthy foods. This community service's outcomes include increasing partners' knowledge and skills.
