Abstract

Until now, fire disasters cannot be avoided, both in the industrial sector, housing and even in the forest. From various types of fire cases, it is very detrimental if there are casualties, so there is a need for education about fire safety learning for adults, teenagers and even children. Children's understanding of danger and self- protection causes children to be less able to anticipate and overcome dangerous conditions around themselves. This can usually be fatal for the safety of the child. Even when there is no adult supervision around the children, they cannot optimally look after and supervise the children. The results of the development of learning media for the feasibility of animated videos that cause fires and how to prevent fires, according to material experts, are categorized as feasible with a value of 76% measured by several aspects, namely: material coverage, presentation clarity, language aspects, understanding. Meanwhile, the feasibility of animated videos that cause fires and how to prevent fires, according to media experts, is categorized as very feasible with a score of 84% measured by several aspects, namely: text, images, video, audio, program effectiveness. And the feasibility of animated videos that cause fires and how to prevent fires based on the assessment of junior high school students is categorized as very feasible with a score of 88% measured by several aspects, namely: text, images, video, audio, program effectiveness.

Abstract

Capacity can be developed into amazing skills that can boost personal creativity. A person's abilities, skills, or psychomotor abilities are all related. This study aimed to assess the psychomotor proficiency of SMKN 2 Banda Aceh students. P1, P2, and P3 of the psychomotor scale were used in this study to examine imitation, manipulation, and articulation. Interviews were done as part of the qualitative research process. Both in-person and online interviews using the WhatsApp app were done by visiting the informant at school. In the odd semester of 2020–2021, the interviews' findings indicate that students' psychomotor skills in productive material are restricted to P1 or imitation. Each student receives homework assignments from the teacher as part of the learning process. This is due to the COVID-19 epidemic, which outlawed busy activities in classrooms and forced learning to continue online. Lack of action in the lab causes unskilled students, therefore the teacher employs real-world video tutorial media that the students can copy. Teachers find evaluating students' psychomotor skills challenging because they have limited resources and can only evaluate their knowledge abilities.

Abstract

R134a is widely used as a refrigerant in refrigeration systems, but this refrigerant has an impact on increasing global warming. This impact can be reduced by using dimethyl ether as an alternative refrigerant to replace R134a. In this research, the performance of dimethyl ether was tested as a substitute refrigerant for R134a in refrigeration system applications in the form of freezers. Tests were carried out by comparing the performance of the freezer when using refrigerant R134a and using dimethyl ether refrigerant. The use of dimethyl ether in the test was varied based on mass, namely 60 grams, 70 grams and 80 grams, or in percentages as much as 30%, 46.7% and 53.3% of the total mass of R134a. The results of this test indicate that the COP value for freezer performance is higher when using dimethyl ether than when using R134a, the efficiency is higher than refrigerant R134a, and the compressor power is lower than R134a. Testing for variations in the mass of dimethyl ether that approached the condition of R134a was at a mass of 70 grams, so that the amount of refrigerant filled with dimethyl ether as a substitute for R134a was reduced to 46,7% of the amount of R134a.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the boundaries opened by using Planetary Pop-Up media and reveal the extent to which this media can enrich students' cognitive abilities. The focus is to deepen understanding of the solar system and the invaluable sun. The method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE development approach which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The population of this study included all grade 7 students at SMPN 14 Bogor, and the sample was selected randomly using the Simple Random Sampling (SRS) method to ensure fairness in selection. Data collection was carried out through media trials, interviews, pre-test, and post-test. Data analysis used the T-test technique, focusing on paired t-tests to reveal differences before and after using Planetary Pop-Up media. The results of the analysis show that the use of this media does not provide a significant difference in the average pre-test and post-test scores. It is hoped that these findings can significantly contribute to the development of effective learning media, especially in improving students' cognitive abilities. Apart from that, it is hoped that this research can also be a reference for other researchers interested in conducting similar research using a Piagetian theory-based approach. This discovery is a step towards miracles in the world of education, and it is hoped that it will inspire other daredevils to undertake similar adventures. In all the uniqueness and light found, the hope is that these findings will become a guide that guides knowledge seekers to the right path, creating untold miracles in the world of education.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the level of health and comfort based on Minister of Public Works Regulation Number 29 of 2006 concerning Guidelines for Technical Building Requirements for Bidara Cina Flats. The method used is descriptive research using a quantitative approach. The population in this study were families who lived in flats. The sampling technique used a formula developed by Isaac and Michael to obtain 194 samples. The results of this research show that the perception of the residents of the Bidara Cina Flats regarding health, with a percentage of 72.075%, can be said to be that the level of health in the Bidara Cina Flats is Medium. It is shown based on the results of each aspect of health, namely the ventilation system, lighting system, sanitation, and The use of building materials in Block II is better than in Block I. Then the occupants' perception of comfort in the Bidara Cina Flats is still considered moderate, with a percentage of 66.355%. This is shown based on the results of each aspect of comfort, including movement space, air condition, sight (visual), sound (audio), and social environment in Block II are better than in Block I.

Abstract

As an effort to break the chain of spreading Covid-19, the campus is implementing Distance Learning activities. There are many things that educators must prepare in carrying out distance learning activities, one of which is a platform for conducting exams. This study aims to analyze the exam platforms that are chosen by undergraduate students during Distance Learning activities. This research is quantitative descriptive. This study involved 119 students who were randomly selected. The research data was collected using Google Form. The data that has been collected were analyzed using descriptive analysis. The results showed that students chose Quizizz as a fun exam platform during Distance Learning activities. The reason is that students consider Quizizz to have an attractive design, easy to access, fun and challenging, and provide information about the results obtained and feedback. Thus, Quizizz can be an alternative choice for lecturers in giving exams to students, especially in Distance Learning activities.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertolak dari permasalahan yang ada di SMK Jakarta 1. Berdasarkan pengamatan awal menunjukan adanya masalah dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran teori mesin bubut. Salah satu penyebabnya yaitu metode yang digunakan pendidik dalam menyampaikan informasi dan materi tidak sesuai yang dikarenakan hanya memakai metode ceramah (teacher centered). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran project based learning terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Pada penelitian kali ini, peneliti menggunakan metode eksperimen (one group pretest-posttest design) dengan pendeketan kuantitatif yang terdiri dari populasi berjumlah 27 siswa. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan hasil belajar siswa. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh rata-rata nilai pre test 40 dan post test 84. Analisis uji hipotesis menggunakan uji-t dengan hasil t-hitung sebesar 21,36 dan t-tabel pada taraf signifikan 0,05 sebesar 1,708, maka t-hitung > t-tabel. Dengan demikian H0 ditolak yang berarti bahwa penggunaan model pembelajaran project based learning menunjukkan adanya pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap hasil beelajar siswa kelas XII pada mata pelajaran Teori Mesin Bubut.

Abstract

This research aims to know the effectiveness of the learning media video clips about the material Table Set up on the course Layout to eat on the course Layout Boga. The research method used was a quasi-experiment by giving preferential treatment to a group of samples. Sample is determined purposive with random technique. Results score on post- test there is a difference of the score each of the two groups namely, the average score post-test with video media (experiment grup) of 87.22 and average score with the conventional media of 69.11. There is a difference in the improvement in the two groups, where there is a difference between experimental groups increased on average by 30.45 and the control group had a lower increase in increments of 22.67. Based on the calculation of the Test T obtained t_hitung of 3.680, that value is greater than the t_tabel with the degrees of freedom (DK) 58 i.e. of 2.00. Thus it can be concluded that the use of the learning media video clips have influence effectively in learning content Table Set up.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to study the influence of the STAD method toward dynamic behavior and learning outcomes of the student in the Designing Menu subject of Restaurant and F&B Service at Grade XI Culinary Class in SMK Negeri 3 Bogor odd semester year 2019/2020. This research using a purposive sampling technique, so that are two classes of XI Culinary, in which every level has 34 students. Assessing the influence of the STAD method toward dynamic behavior is done by two times of activity observed at the experimental class. The first observation does the teacher center learning, and the second observation does the STAD. Assessing the influence of STAD method toward learning outcome is done by doing an empirical validation, and doing pre-test and post-test at the control class and the experimental level. This research calculates the actual behavior with descriptive analysis and for the learning outcome using pre and post-test. Based on the Mann Whitney U test on student learning outcomes show there is a positive influence on student learning outcomes. There is an influence of the STAD method on the activeness and learning outcomes of students in SMK on the subject of Menu Design. With an increase in the average value of activeness of 16.2% and the average cost of student learning outcomes by 17.47, which is higher than the learning outcomes of students who use the lecture method. These results indicate that the application of the STAD method had applied to other theoretical subjects in the Subjects of Food and Beverage Administration.

Abstract

The scarcity of fuel oil energy has led to the development of research on additional and alternative energy sources for fuel. one of the alternatives that can be utilised from the large amount of plastic waste scattered in the environment becomes environmental pollution. Is the processing of plastic waste so that it can be processed into fuel oil solutions. Tools for processing plastic waste into fuel oil using the pyrolysis process. Further research is needed regarding the design of pyrolysis equipment. This research uses computational methods by testing on computer devices using CAE software, namely Solidwork, inventor and Ansys and then testing also uses experimental methods and computational 3-dimensional analysis to obtain a suitable design to produce pyrolysis compressors which include thermal and structural testing. The pyrolysis device of waste plastic into fuel oil has the highest temperature at the combustion surface of 500.47 ℃ and the temperature is stable at 143.95 ℃. the temperature inside the plastic combustion reactor is at 489.23 ℃. the cooling water temperature of 24 ℃ can LMTD value of 83.6 ℃. raw material of 10 kg LDPE produces liquid smoke from the weight of plastic which is 7.04 kg with a volume of 6.56 litres in one process. Dimensional strength and tool strength are used in the design of pyrolysis equipment with materials including stainless steel 304 and 316 then monel and copper can experience a maximum total heat flux change of 12.261 W/mm2 and has a safety factor value of 15. from Plastic waste can be processed and utilised into fuel oil. One type of plastic that can be utilised is LDPE waste using the pyrolysis process using appropriate calculations in the study.
