Abstract

This study explores the influence of tourist amenities and attractions on tourist attraction in the Deli Serdang Regency Education Field. The study used a quantitative method with purposive sampling involving 100 tourists who had visited the destination. The research data was carried out multiple linear regression through the SPSS program. The results of the analysis show that tourist amenities and attractions have a significant positive effect on tourist attraction. Of these two variables, tourist attractions have a superior influence over amenities. Simultaneously, both variables have a potential of 61.7% variation in tourist attraction, while 38.3% is determined by other factors not found in the study. This finding explains that the better the amenities provided and the more tourist attractions there are, the more tourists will be interested in visiting. In addition, the findings can be used as a guideline for tourist destination managers in developing development strategies that focus on improving the quality of tourist amenities and attractions to increase tourist attraction.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of empathy and legal awareness on anti-bullying behavior among Senior High School (SLTA) students in the Kutacane area, Southeast Aceh Regency. This study employed a quantitative approach with an ex-post facto correlational design. Primary data were collected using a closed-ended questionnaire measured on a Likert scale and distributed to respondents selected through proportionate stratified random sampling to ensure representation across grade levels and school types. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression after conducting the required classical assumption tests. The findings indicate that empathy has a positive and significant effect on anti-bullying behavior. Legal awareness also has a positive and significant effect on anti-bullying behavior. Simultaneously, empathy and legal awareness significantly influence anti-bullying behavior, indicating that both internal emotional sensitivity and understanding of legal norms contribute to students’ efforts to reject and prevent bullying. The study concludes that strengthening anti-bullying behavior requires educational interventions that integrate empathy development with legal literacy. Therefore, educational institutions are encouraged to implement emotional intelligence and empathy training alongside legal literacy programs involving relevant authorities to strengthen students’ awareness of bullying prevention and the legal consequences of violent behavior.

Abstract

The normalization of Work from Home (WFH), Work from Office (WFO), and hybrid work has intensified interest in employee productivity, yet prior research often examines ergonomic, psychological, organizational, and environmental determinants separately. This fragmentation limits integrated understanding of how enabling and constraining conditions differ across work arrangements. This study addresses that gap through a structured narrative review of 50 scholarly sources published between 2020 and 2025 using an adapted Performance Shaping Factors (PSF) perspective. The review integrates physical, cognitive, organizational, environmental, and individual factors into a 31-factor codebook and combines thematic synthesis, frequency and Pareto mapping, and separate WFH-WFO matrices for enabling and constraining factors. The synthesis indicates that organizational and cognitive conditions are especially prominent in the literature, while physical, environmental, and individual conditions remain consequential. WFH more often supports autonomy, concentration, work-life balance, and remote-work support, but is also associated with greater exposure to technostress, interruptions, social isolation, household demands, and musculoskeletal discomfort. WFO more consistently provides communication, supervision, collaboration, training, and standardized ergonomic support. Frequency is interpreted as prominence in the reviewed literature rather than as effect size. The study contributes an integrated PSF-based framework for comparing work arrangements and offers a practical basis for designing hybrid policies that match work location to task, employee, and organizational conditions.

Abstract

Customer retention is a strategic concern for enrollment-based educational technology (EdTech) firms, where acquiring a new customer costs far more than retaining an existing one. Churn research in education, however, rests on an unresolved measurement premise: models routinely treat any post-onboarding inactivity as churn, conflating genuine dropouts with fast completers who finish and leave, and they typically require full-course data that arrive too late for intervention. Addressing both gaps, this study develops and validates an early-warning model of customer dropout in a vocational, competency-based EdTech platform in Indonesia aligned with the national work competency standards (SKKNI), using only behavioral data from each customer’s first 14 days. The novelty is at once conceptual and methodological: a completer-aware dropout label requiring both sustained inactivity and the absence of an earned certificate combined with a uniform outcome window that removes censoring bias. Analyzing an operational database snapshot (11 February–28 July 2026) of the SertifiTech.id platform, a cohort of 177 paying customers was studied. Nine behavioral features were engineered under an adapted Recency–Frequency–Intensity framework, and logistic regression, random forest, and gradient boosting were compared through 5-fold stratified cross-validation with odds ratios, SHAP, and permutation importance. Dropout reached 23.2%. Early engagement persistence was the single dominant protective factor, robust across every model family and interpretation method (OR = 0.094), whereas activity breadth proved protective rather than harmful reversing the ‘skimming’ effect obtained under a naive label. The best model attained AUC 0.794 (95% CI 0.718–0.864), and targeting the highest-risk 20% of customers captured 46% of all dropouts (2.3× lift), evidencing a practical two-week early-warning system.
