Abstract

The influence of principal's managerial ability and work motivation on teacher performance in referral junior high schools throughout Magetan Regency aims to: 1) Analyze the influence of principal's managerial ability on teacher performance. 2) Analyze the influence of work motivation on teacher performance. 3) Analyze the influence of principal managerial ability and work motivation simultaneously on teacher performance. The research is a correlational research type and was conducted quantitatively. The research population was 104 with a sample of 10 people. Data collection using questionnaires. Data analysis techniques with data descriptions, classic assumption tests include normality tests, heteroscedasticity tests, multicollinearity tests, and linearity tests. The results of this study are: 1) Principal's managerial ability has a significant effect on teacher performance (t-test= 0.194). 2) Work motivation has a significant effect on teacher performance (t-test=0.677). 3) The principal's managerial ability and work motivation have a significant effect on teacher performance (f-test=0.000 <0.05). The conclusion of this study is that the principal's managerial ability and work motivation have an effect on teacher performance (f-test=73.570 with a significance of 0.000). Principals are suggested to improve their managerial skills by attending leadership and educational management training. Teachers are expected to improve their work motivation by developing themselves through professional training, seminars, and workshops that are relevant to their duties

Abstract

This research is motivated by the emergence of experts' opinions that Salaf madrasas have a radical understanding of Hadith, so that the institution is known to be a cadre of radical or fundamental santri. In fact, not all Salaf madrasas have radical thinking. In fact, they are known as moderate madrasas, so they educate their students to have a moderate attitude in religion. The method of teaching hadith in salaf madrasas uses certain books, such as the book Bulughul Maram. The role of an ustaz is very urgent in instilling attitudes to students, because it becomes the role model of the students. Through the teaching methods carried out by the ustaz, students will gain knowledge that becomes a reference in their behavior. There are two forms of Hadith understanding; textual and contextual. Textual understanding will give birth to a radical attitude in life. While contextual understanding fosters a moderate attitude in religion. Because of its vital position in front of the santri, the tendency of the ustaz's method of understanding will shape the attitude and personality of a santri. The results of the study state that the teaching method in Salaf Madrasah plays an important role in instilling a moderate attitude of the students, including: using comprehensive teaching, related to the identity of the institution or madrasah

Abstract

This article discusses the use of representative associative speech style in Ustaz Abdul Somad's (UAS) sermons as a means to create humor while delivering religious advice. This linguistic style employs indirect comparisons to clarify meanings and enhance audience comprehension. The study adopts a functional pragmatic analysis method, with data derived from UAS's sermon themed "Dari Persaudaraan Menuju Kebangkitan." The analysis reveals that UAS consistently utilizes this speech style to create a relaxed, enjoyable, and entertaining atmosphere. The pattern involves explaining religious laws, providing examples through comparisons, and emphasizing the core message. This approach not only helps the audience better understand the sermon but also enriches the study of Indonesian language through a pragmastilistic perspective. Moreover, the representative associative speech style can be applied in language and literature education to enhance students’ speaking skills and creativity.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the contribution of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) to the development of students' spirituality and mentality, both in terms of strengthening faith and character formation. This study uses a method of reviewing the literature and analyzing various relevant reading sources, such as books, magazines, articles, and previous studies related to contribution of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) to the development of students' spirituality and mentality. The research results show that Islamic Religious Education (PAI) makes a significant contribution in building students' spiritual awareness through learning the values of faith, worship, and morals. In addition, the PAI program also helps develop a positive mentality such as a sense of responsibility, honesty, and discipline. However, this research also found several challenges, such as a lack of innovation in teaching methods and minimal student involvement in spiritual activities outside the classroom. Therefore, to optimize the contribution of PAI, it is necessary to utilize innovative teaching methods and integrate them with modern technology, as well as support from the family and community environment. Furthermore, PAI teachers must continue to improve their competencies to face the dynamics of the times and provide learning that is more relevant to the needs of students. Overall, Islamic Religious Education plays a fundamental role in shaping a generation that is not only academically intelligent but also possesses deep spiritual and mental strength. PAI serves as a foundation for shaping balanced, responsible individuals who are able to face life with integrity and maturity.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) cooperative learning model on students' mastery of the Maharotul Kitabah. The purpose of this study was to determine the extent of the influence and effectiveness of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) cooperative learning model on the mastery of the Maharotul Kitabah in grade VII students at SMP Ma'arif 01 Nurul Muttaqin Tlogowaru Malang. A non-experimental quantitative method with a descriptive type was used in this study. Because the sample size chosen to represent the population as a whole, consisting of 49 respondents, with a 5% error table, this study used sample probability. However, for data analysis, a simple linear regression formula, instrument validity and reliability tests, classical assumption tests, and hypothesis tests were used. The results of this study are the mastery of maharotul kitabah in SMP Ma'arif 01 Nurul Muttaqin Tlogowaru Malang is influenced by the cooperative learning model of teams games tournament significantly seen from the results of the test that has been carried out with the value of the t-test H1, namely (10.193> 2.012) which means the working hypothesis is accepted. The cooperative learning model of teams games tournament is also effective in mastering maharotul kitabah in SMP Ma'arif 01 Nurul Muttaqin Tlogowaru Malang supported by the R2 figure of 68.9% which means it has a high influence.

Abstract

Research shows that students’ academic engagement is influenced by both social and psychological factors. This study aims to explore which aspects of social context (family, school, and community), and psychological traits (self-efficacy, perseverance, and resilience) affect academic engagement. A quantitative approach with correlational design and multiple regression analysis was used. The research included 437 students from primary and junior high schools, focusing on 15 schools identified as having low to medium academic performance. The findings indicate that within the social context, family-related factors, particularly parental supervision, along with the number of teachers, are significant predictors of academic engagement. Among psychological factors, self-efficacy, perseverance, and resilience all positively influence engagement, with self-efficacy being the most significant. Overall, psychological factors were found to have a stronger impact on academic engagement than social factors. The study concludes that despite challenges such as socioeconomic disadvantages and limited support from schools and communities, students can still achieve better academic outcomes if they develop key psychological strengths. Providing interventions that promote self-belief and motivation can help students cultivate self-efficacy, perseverance, and resilience, which are critical for their future success. This highlights the importance of nurturing these traits to improve academic engagement and achievement.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to explain and describe the positive and significant influence of participative leadership, religiosity, spiritual intelligence, and organizational commitment together on teacher performance at the Saint Yoseph Catholic Private School, Denpasar. The type of research used is quantitative research with a causal associative research strategy. Data analysis used in this study is a partial significant test (t-test) and a simultaneous significant test (F-test). The results of this study are that participatory leadership has a partial positive effect on teacher performance at the Saint Yoseph Catholic Private School, Denpasar. This is evidenced by the t-count value of 3.294> 1.98 and a significance value of 0.001 <0.05. Religiosity has a partial positive effect on Teacher Performance at the Saint Yoseph Catholic Private School, Denpasar. This is evidenced by the t-count value of 3.160> 1.98 and a significance value of 0.002 <0.05. Spiritual Intelligence has a partial positive effect on Teacher Performance at the Saint Joseph Catholic Private School, Denpasar. This is evidenced by the t-test value of 3.799 > 1.98 and the significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. Work Commitment has a partial positive effect on Teacher Performance at the Saint Joseph Catholic Private School, Denpasar. This is evidenced by the t-test value of 2.127 > 1.98 and the significance value of 0.036 < 0.05. The study found that all hypotheses in this study have been proven significantly. Participatory leadership, religiosity, spiritual intelligence, and work commitment have a positive and significant effect on teacher performance. The variable that has the greatest influence on teacher performance at the Saint Joseph Catholic Private School, Denpasar is spiritual intelligence. The implication of this study is that participatory leadership, religiosity, spiritual intelligence, and work commitment have an equally important role both individually and together in improving teacher performance.

Abstract

This study aims to (1) describe the contribution of teacher certification to the performance of elementary school teachers in Cluster III, Penebel District, Tabanan Regency, (2) describe the contribution of work motivation to the performance of elementary school teachers in Cluster III, Penebel District, Tabanan Regency, (3) describe the contribution of academic supervision to the performance of elementary school teachers in Cluster III, Penebel District, Tabanan Regency, (4) describe the contribution of teacher certification, work motivation, and academic supervision together to the performance of elementary school teachers in Cluster III, Penebel District, Tabanan Regency. This study is an "ex-post facto" study with a sample size of 35 taken using the proportional random sampling technique from a population of 38 schools. Data were collected using a questionnaire. Data analysis was carried out using the product moment correlation technique, multiple regression, and partial correlation. The results of the study show that: (1) there is a positive and significant contribution of teacher certification to the performance of elementary school teachers in Cluster III, Penebel District, Tabanan Regency with a correlation coefficient of 0.520 and an effective contribution of 12.28%, (2) there is a positive and significant contribution of work motivation to the performance of elementary school teachers in Cluster III, Penebel District, Tabanan Regency with a correlation coefficient of 0.653 and an effective contribution of 24.49%, (3) there is a positive and significant contribution of academic supervision to the performance of elementary school teachers in Cluster III, Penebel District, Tabanan Regency with a correlation coefficient of 0.679 and an effective contribution of 26.63%, (4) there is a positive and significant contribution together of teacher certification, work motivation and academic supervision to the performance of elementary schools in Cluster III, Penebel District, Tabanan Regency with a correlation coefficient of 0.796 and a contribution of 63.4%.

Abstract

The poor degree of cognitive capacity to recognise numbers in Ra'an-nida was the driving force behind this investigation. The outcomes of the preliminary observations demonstrate this. youngsters's cognitive capacity to recognise numbers is still developing; in Ra an-nida, 70% of youngsters between the ages of 5 and 6 have little understanding of what cognitive ability is. The purpose of this study is to determine how number block media use can enhance children's cognitive development in number recognition, how cognitive abilities of children are prior to using number blocks, and how the number block process can enhance the cognitive abilities of children in Ra'an-nida who are between the ages of five and six. Ten boys and seven girls made up the total number of participants in this class action research study. Techniques for gathering data: In this study, documentation and observation are used to gather data. The percentage methodology is the data analysis method used in this study. According to study done in Ra'an-nida, children between the ages of 5 and 6 had a cognitive ability percentage of 29%, with an average value of 2. In the first cycle, the percentage was 58%. exhibiting an average value of 2.64 and developing criteria. In cycle II, there was an improvement in the cognitive development of children aged 5–6 years, with a 100% percentage and an average score of 3.52 with very excellent development requirements..

Abstract

This study aims to (1) describe the magnitude of the contribution of transformational leadership to teacher performance at SD Negeri Gugus 3, North Kuta District, Badung Regency, (2) describe the magnitude of the contribution of work motivation to teacher performance at SD Negeri Gugus 3, North Kuta District, Badung Regency, (3) describe the magnitude of the contribution of work ethic to teacher performance at SD Negeri Gugus 3, North Kuta District, Badung Regency, (4) describe the magnitude of the contribution of work climate to teacher performance at SD Negeri Gugus 3, North Kuta District, Badung Regency, (5) determine the magnitude of the contribution of transformational leadership, work motivation, work ethic, and work climate together to teacher performance at SD Negeri Gugus 3, North Kuta District, Badung Regency. This study is an "ex-post facto" study with a sample size of 103 people, taken using the proportional random sampling technique from a population of 138 teachers. Data were collected using a questionnaire. Data analysis was carried out using the product moment correlation technique, multiple regression, and partial correlation. The results of the study show that: (1) there is a positive and significant contribution of transformational leadership to teacher performance at SD Negeri Gugus 3, North Kuta District with a correlation coefficient of 0.705 and an effective contribution of 22.56%, (2) there is a positive and significant contribution of work motivation to teacher performance at SD Negeri Gugus 3, North Kuta District with a correlation coefficient of 0.609 and an effective contribution of 13.34%, (3) there is a positive and significant contribution of work ethic to teacher performance at SD Negeri Gugus 3, North Kuta District with a correlation coefficient of 0.714 and an effective contribution of 19.71%, (4) there is a positive and significant contribution of work climate to teacher performance at SD Negeri Gugus 3, North Kuta District with a correlation coefficient of 0.677 and an effective contribution of 16.86%, (5) there is a positive and significant contribution together of transformational leadership, work motivation, work ethic and work climate to teacher performance at SD Negeri Gugus 3, North Kuta District with a correlation coefficient of 0.677 and an effective contribution of 16.86%, (6) there is a positive and significant contribution together of transformational leadership, work motivation, work ethic and work climate to teacher performance at SD Negeri Gugus 3, North Kuta District with a correlation coefficient of 0.677 and an effective contribution of 16.86%, (7) there is a positive and significant contribution together of transformational leadership, work motivation, work ethic and work climate to teacher performance at SD Negeri Gugus 3, North Kuta District with a correlation coefficient of 0.677 and an effective contribution of 16.86%, (8) there is a positive and significant contribution together of transformational leadership, work motivation, work ethic and work climate to teacher performance at SD Negeri Gugus 3, North Kuta District with a correlation coefficient of 0.677 and an effective contribution of 16.86%, (9) there is a positive and significant contribution together of transformational leadership, work motivation, work ethic and work climate to teacher performance at SD Negeri correlation of 0.817 and contribution of = 72.46%.
