Lamahu: Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat Terintegrasi
Lamahu: Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat Terintegrasi (Lamahu, P-ISSN: 2828-6839, E-ISSN: 2828-6677) is a peer-reviewed journal published by Department of Earth Science and Technology, Universitas Negeri Gorontalo. Lamahu provides open access to the principle that research published in this journal is freely available to the public to support the exchange of knowledge globally. Lamahu published two-issue articles per year namely February and August. Lamahu provides a place for academics, researchers, and practitioners to publish scientific articles. Each text sent to Lamahu editor is reviewed by peer review. Starting from Vol. 1 No. 1 (February 2022), all manuscripts sent to the Lamahu editor are accepted in Bahasa Indonesia or English. The scope of the articles listed in this journal relates to various topics, including education for Sustainable Development, Community Services, People, Local Food Security, Nutrition and Public Health, Training, Marketing, Appropriate Technology, Design, Community Empowerment, Social Access, Student Community Services, Border Region, Less Developed Region. This journal is available in print and online and highly respects the ethics of publication and avoids all types of plagiarism. Lamahu has been identified in crossref with a DOI number: 10.34312

<![CDATA[The increasing demand for disinfectants to maintain environmental hygiene and prevent the spread of diseases in Paenre Lompoe Village, Bulukumba Regency, poses a challenge for Posyandu cadres who have limited knowledge and access to disinfectant products. To address this issue, disinfectant production training was conducted to empower Posyandu cadres to produce disinfectants independently. This activity involved 20 cadres using a participatory approach, including theory, demonstrations, and hands-on practice. Evaluations through pre-tests and post-tests showed an increase in participants' understanding from 30% to 85%, along with the successful production of 10 liters of ready-to-use disinfectant. The main challenges faced in this training included time constraints and the need for additional equipment for larger-scale production. The advantages of this activity lie in the use of easily accessible local materials and the active involvement of participants. Moving forward, this training presents opportunities for developing small-scale businesses based on disinfectant production, which has the potential to improve the economic well-being of the cadres’ families. The results of this training demonstrate that a holistic approach can enhance the capacity of Posyandu cadres in supporting community health independently and sustainably.]]>

<![CDATA[In the digital era, video editing skills have become an essential competency for teachers to enhance the learning process. These skills enable teachers to create more interactive and engaging educational videos. However, not all teachers possess adequate video editing abilities. Therefore, this training activity aimed to improve the video editing skills of teachers at SMP Citra Harapan using the CapCut application. The training was conducted through a combination of theoretical and practical sessions, encompassing three main stages: preparation, implementation, and evaluation. The results indicated that all participants enthusiastically participated in the training, effectively understood the materials, and successfully applied video editing skills in practice. This training is expected to support teachers in producing more effective and creative educational videos.]]>

<![CDATA[The decline in environmental carrying capacity due to land use changes and population pressure poses a challenge to sustainable development. Boalemo Regency has diverse physical conditions, making environmental carrying capacity education essential for the younger generation. This activity aims to enhance students' spatial literacy using spatial data. The methods employed include material delivery, thematic map simulations using Geographic Information Systems (GIS), discussions, and evaluations through pre-test and post-test. Evaluation results indicate an improvement in students' understanding, with topographical condition indicators increasing from 5% to 100% and hydrological condition indicators from 15% to 95%. Spatial data simulations have proven effective in enhancing conceptual understanding and students' critical thinking skills. These results contribute to raising environmental awareness among the younger generation to support sustainable development policies.]]>

<![CDATA[Strengthening branding and transparency is a strategic step for the University of Jambi Economics Education Study Program to increase competitiveness and public trust. In the digital era, the development of informative, interactive, and responsive websites is an urgent need to strengthen the image of the institution, attract prospective students, and build stakeholder loyalty. This service activity aims to design and develop a website-based information system that is user-friendly and transparent. The methods used include needs analysis, modern design development, internal training, and socialization to the academic community. The results show that the website developed is able to improve data accessibility, provide an optimal user experience, and present the latest information in real-time. This has an impact on improving academic reputation, user trust, and relationships with stakeholders. The integration of digital technology is a strategic model in building trust and credibility in a competitive higher education environment.]]>

<![CDATA[The character education of "love of environment" can be instilled early in elementary school children. One of the efforts is through a plastic cup waste management program as a pot for planting shallots. This educational program was implemented at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Al Hadi II, Bangunjiwo, Bantul in December 2023 using the participatory method. This activity aims to educate primary school students to have the character of "love of environment" by using plastic cup waste as a medium for planting shallots. The series of program implementation activities consisted of 3 stages, specifically material counseling, practice of planting shallots in plastic cups, and evaluation of the understanding of the educational program provided. Through this service activity, a positive impact was achieved for the students by providing valuable experience in the form of: (1) most of the participants seemed to have an increased awareness of the importance of preserving the environment and could be applied in students' daily lives; (2) 90% of the participants actively participated in the program and there were results in the formation of a positive character "love for the environment" among elementary school students; (3) there was an increase in students' understanding in the use of used goods as planting media both in the school environment and the surrounding environment]]>

<![CDATA[The transformation of digital technology has affected the world of marketing, which directly helps MSMEs in increasing the effectiveness of business operations. However, the lack of skills and knowledge of the community, especially housewives in Tlogosari village in marketing their products, make the products not sold optimally. This community service program aims to help MSMEs adopt the use of digital technology in increasing the effectiveness of business operations. The community service program was conducted in the form of training for PKK groups in Tlogosari Kulon Village, Semarang City. The results of the activity showed that the PKK group experienced an increase in knowledge and use of digital marketing. This can be seen from the average results of pre-test and post-test, which shows that the increase in knowledge and understanding of MSMEs in the use of digital marketing is 97,3%. Therefore, this training is important to improve product marketing and attract consumers.]]>

<![CDATA[The rapid development of digital technology has significantly impacted various sectors, including micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). However, the lack of knowledge and skills in accessing and utilizing digital technology has made MSME entrepreneurs in Kedungsegog Village struggle to compete in an increasingly competitive market. As a result, they often miss opportunities to optimize sales and grow their businesses. Therefore, this community service activity aims to enhance MSME entrepreneurs' understanding of digital technology utilization in marketing strategies and business operations. The activity was conducted through direct (offline) socialization, including material presentations and interactive discussions. The results show an increased understanding among MSME entrepreneurs regarding the importance of digital technology in supporting their businesses, particularly in marketing, operational efficiency, and information access. Additionally, MSME entrepreneurs have shown motivation to optimize customer service and expand their market reach to the regional level. To ensure the sustainability of this initiative's impact, follow-up mentoring programs are needed so that the adoption of digital technology can be consistently and optimally implemented in their business management.]]>

<![CDATA[Integrating technology into education has become essential in the digital era to enhance the quality of learning. However, many teachers face challenges such as limited knowledge, resources, and creativity in utilizing technology. This community service program aims to improve teachers' competencies through training on using Quizizz as an interactive teaching medium. The methods included developing a comprehensive training module, presentations, demonstrations, hands-on workshops, and a QA session. The results showed that most participants, comprising 37 teachers from SMP Negeri 1 Singorojo, found the training effective in helping them understand the concept of interactive teaching media and practice creating quizzes using Quizizz. Evaluations indicated positive outcomes, although participants suggested extending the workshop duration. This program offers practical solutions for teachers to design more creative, interactive, and relevant lessons while paving the way for further development of similar initiatives in the future.]]>

<![CDATA[The quality of drinking water is a critical factor that impacts an individual's health. Contaminated drinking water can serve as a medium for disease transmission and lead to the decline in organ function. The lack of public awareness about the standards for safe drinking water has prompted educational initiatives for the students of Instrumentation and Control Engineering Technology program at Politeknik Negeri Indramayu. This initiative included a presentation, interactive discussions, and an evaluation. Following their participation, most students gained a better understanding of the criteria for safe drinking water and became more aware of the importance of monitoring water quality. They also expressed interest in developing technologies to detect drinking water quality as an innovative solution for public health. Furthermore, implementation of this activity is expected to accelerate the adoption of drinking water quality monitoring technologies, ultimately reducing the risk of waterborne diseases.]]>

<![CDATA[Self-confidence in early childhood is important to develop, because at this stage children are still in the process of building self-concept and independence. Lack of self-confidence can hinder their social, emotional, and cognitive development. This Market Day activity was carried out as an effort to improve the quality of learning practices related to self-confidence aspects in order to support optimal child development outcomes by being packaged through interesting and fun activities. The method used is Participant Action Research (PAR) which emphasizes the active involvement of participants in each stage of implementation in order to produce real changes in the community. The subjects in this community service activity were 21 children from students of SPS Melati II, Margasari Village. The results of this community service journal are that Market Day is an effective method in increasing self-confidence for early childhood at SPS Melati II, Margasari Village, as evidenced by changes in behavior, namely children becoming more open in interacting with peers, not feeling embarrassed when meeting new people and, daring to speak in public.]]>
