Abstract

Cassava is a crop that has high demand in Indonesia, marked by increasing production levels over time. In addition to quantity, crop quality must be maintained, one of which is by paying attention to disease symptoms. Disease symptoms that appear on cassava leaves can be detected by visual inspection. However, more knowledge is needed to distinguish the symptoms of one disease from another. One solution to this problem is the use of convolutional neural networks (CNN) for disease classification. The author uses a CNN model for this problem. The performance assessment parameters of the CNN model used are accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score. This study will use two architectures in transfer learning, namely EfficientNet-B4 and Inception-V3. Both of these architectures are still rarely used in related case studies. The purpose of increasing the number of parameters is to find the optimal configuration of the optimizer and learning rate that can maximize model performance. By increasing the number of parameters and utilizing two architectures in transfer learning, it is hoped that the model's ability to handle the complexity of the problem of classifying images of cassava leaves with disease can be improved. The focus of this study will also be focused on the application of the EfficientNet-B4 and Inception-V3 architectures with a hyperparameter tuning scheme to improve model performance. Therefore, this research is expected to provide a superior contribution in the development of CNN for disease classification in cassava leaves, with better and more accurate performance.

Abstract

Science process skills are skills used by scientists in forming knowledge in solving problems. KPS itself can be improved using the Discovery learning model, a learning method that requires teachers to be more creative in creating situations that encourage students to actively learn and discover their own knowledge. The research method used is classroom action research (CAR) through three stages, namely pre-cycle, cycle I, and cycle II. The research subjects came from 14 fourth grade students. This study used data collection techniques using written tests and observations. The percentage of science process skills was 85.71%. Based on this study, it can be concluded that the use of the discovery learning model can improve students' science process skills.

Abstract

This study developed an adaptive AI robot as a learning aid for students with learning disabilities (LD) at Universitas Darwan Ali. The robot is equipped with text-to-speech, speech-to-text, voice and facial recognition features, and adaptive algorithms that adjust content delivery to match students' literacy levels. A research and development approach with agile methodology was employed, encompassing needs identification, design, testing, and implementation phases. Results indicate a 30% increase in academic comprehension and an 82% satisfaction rate among students. Additionally, the AI robot serves as a "learning companion" providing social-emotional support, which enhances learning motivation for LD students. Thus, this adaptive AI robot effectively supports inclusive education at Universitas Darwan Ali.

Abstract

This research aims to explain locutionary, illocutionary and perlocutionary speech acts in buying and selling transactions during the Ahad Festival in Lhokseumawe City. This study focuses on the identification and classification of locutionary, illocutionary and perlocutionary speech acts used by traders and buyers in the buying and selling interaction process. This research uses qualitative research, with data collection techniques in the form of recording techniques, listening techniques and note-taking techniques. The data in this research are in the form of sellers' and buyers' statements when buying and selling transactions are taking place, while the data sources in this research are sellers and buyers at the Sunday Festival in Lhokseumawe City. The results of the research show that the data obtained by the researcher was 47 data with a classification of 11 data of locutionary speech acts, 23 data of illocutionary speech acts and 5 data of perlocutionary speech acts.

Abstract

School environmental cleanliness is essential to create a healthy and productive learning environment. This study discusses various technologies that can be implemented in schools to improve effective and innovative cleanliness. These technologies include an app-based waste management system, the use of air quality sensors, and a digital platform to teach students about the importance of environmental cleanliness. Digital waste management systems enable schools to optimize waste collection and processing by monitoring and managing waste in real-time. Air quality sensors can also indicate levels of cleanliness and air pollution, which are essential for student health. In contrast, digital learning resources encourage students to actively participate in maintaining environmental cleanliness. Research shows that the use of technology not only improves school environmental cleanliness but also makes students more aware and responsible for cleanliness. In technology-based programs, students tend to have a positive attitude towards cleanliness and are more active in maintaining cleanliness. Consequently, incorporating technology into school environmental cleanliness has been shown to be effective in creating a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable learning environment. For the future benefits of school environmental cleanliness, this study suggests further development of existing technologies.

Abstract

This research examines the legal protection for notaries in Indonesia, particularly concerning the legal vacuum that arises in the context of the time limits on notary authority. Although notaries play a vital role as public officials who authenticate authentic deeds, existing regulations, including the Notary Position Law (UUJN), still contain gaps that threaten the integrity of this profession. This study highlights the urgency of reforming legal protection for notaries by identifying unclear provisions and providing concrete recommendations to strengthen legal protection. By analyzing the implications of legal vacuums on public trust and professional integrity, this research aims to offer effective solutions to enhance legal protection for notaries and strengthen their position within the Indonesian legal system.

Abstract

This research aims to evaluate the implementation of creative dance as a medium for developing kinesthetic intelligence in early childhood at the Pembina Lubuk Pakam State Kindergarten. Creative dance was chosen because it is relevant in improving children's gross motor skills, coordination and creativity. The evaluation method uses the CIPP model which includes context, input, process and product, with data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. The evaluation results show that the implementation of creative dance has helped children improve gross and fine motor skills, as well as build self-confidence and creativity. However, obstacles were found such as limited facilities and lack of program support from parents. The implication of this research is the importance of optimizing supporting facilities and increasing teacher competency to ensure the success of the program. Thus, creative dance has proven to be an effective means of supporting the kinesthetic development of young children and enriching their learning experiences in an educational environment.

Abstract

The spread of radical ideology through social media has become a serious challenge that requires more effective legal attention and action. This research proposes the need for a revision of existing regulations, particularly in defining radicalism and establishing strict actions as radical offenses, as well as the formation of implementing regulations that support the monitoring of harmful content. Furthermore, the importance of social media platforms' responsibility in managing radical content is outlined as part of the cooperation between the government, digital service providers, and society. This research also emphasizes the need for a comprehensive implementation strategy and the active role of law enforcement agencies to ensure effective law enforcement, aimed at creating a safer environment free from the influences of radicalism.
