Abstract

Permasalahan  remaja  yang  sering  terjadi  diantaranya  adalah  permasalahan  pergaulan bebas. Masalah pergaulan bebas ini menjadi topik yang saat ini menjadi isu yang menjadi perhatian baik di lingkungan masyarakat maupun dari media masa.Pergeseran budaya ini bisa kita lihat dari kasus-kasus akibat seks bebas yang terjadi di masayarkat seperti penyakit menular seksual HIV/AIDS, kehamilan pranikah pada remaja, dan aborsi .Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat yang berjudul “Sosialisisi Bahaya Pergaulan Bebas Pada Remaja”. Agenda kegiatan dalam pengabdian ini dilakukan pemaparan materi akan bahaya pergaulan bebas remaja. Semua materi yang telah direncanakan dapat disampaikan kepada peserta, Kemampuan peserta dilihat dari penguasaan materi dapat dinilai baik (80%).

Abstract

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilakukan untuk memantau pemilihan umum presiden periode 2024-2029 di Kelurahan Sawah Brebes, Bandar Lampung, dengan fokus pada peran akademisi dalam mendukung integritas dan transparansi proses pemilu. Pokok bahasan mencakup edukasi pemilih, pemantauan proses pemilu, dan analisis partisipasi masyarakat. Tujuan pengabdian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kesadaran politik dan partisipasi masyarakat melalui informasi yang akurat dan transparansi proses pemilu. Metode yang digunakan adalah kombinasi pendekatan kualitatif melalui wawancara mendalam dengan akademisi dan kuantitatif melalui survei kepada masyarakat. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa akademisi berperan penting dalam edukasi pemilih dan pemantauan pemilu, meskipun tantangan seperti rendahnya partisipasi pemilih muda tetap ada. Kolaborasi dengan pemerintah dan organisasi masyarakat sipil direkomendasikan untuk memperkuat upaya ini dan meningkatkan kualitas demokrasi di tingkat lokal.

Abstract

Permasalahan terkait dengan pelayanan kesejahteraan bagi Usia Lanjut di UPTD Pelayanan Sosial Lanjut Usia Tresna Werdha Natar diantaranya adalah keterbatasan Sumber Daya Manusia, partisipasi keluarga dan masyarakat yang minim, kurangnya kesadaran dan tantangan psikologi dan sosial. Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat yang dilakukan di Panti Werdha Natar dilakukan melalui beberapa tahapan, dimulai dengan persiapan, pelaksanaan dan diakhiri dengan evaluasi. Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat dilaksanakan pada 26 Juni 2024. Peserta pada kegiatan ini berjumlah 13 orang yang merupakan petugas di di UPTD Pelayanan Sosial Lanjut Usia Tresna Werdha Natar. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilakukan untuk memberikan pengetahuan dan juga menjadi ajang berbagi pengalaman yang akan dilakukan secara berkelanjutan. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat akan dilakukan secara berkelanjutan melalui diskusi santai dan juga komunikasi secara berkala dengan para peserta kegiatan dikemudian hari agar dapat memastikan bahwa pelayanan bagi lanjut usia terus meningkat.

Abstract

Early marriage is a significant problem that impacts the health, education, and psychology of adolescents. The focus of this community service is to increase adolescent awareness about the dangers of early marriage through the use of social media. Topics include identifying causal factors, negative impacts, and effective educational strategies. The purpose of the community service is to disseminate accurate information about the risks of early marriage and motivate adolescents to continue their education. The methods used include developing educational content in the form of infographics, videos, and webinars, as well as publication through popular social media platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. The results of the community service show an increase in adolescent understanding of the dangers of early marriage and their active involvement in the campaign, demonstrating the effectiveness of social media as an educational tool that reaches a wide and interactive audience.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the potential of developing catfish farming as an effort to alleviate stunting in rural areas, focusing on Jati Agung, South Lampung. The farming program led by Iwan Haryadi, A.Md., involved training on farming techniques, from pond preparation to feed management and harvesting. The results show that catfish farming not only provides economic benefits for farmers but also plays a crucial role in increasing household protein intake, which directly helps prevent stunting in children. Although challenges such as fluctuating feed prices and limited market access exist, with proper support, this farming initiative can further develop and significantly contribute to the well-being of rural communities.

Abstract

Exercise is becoming increasingly popular, but not without knowing the risks of delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS). These risks include muscle pain 12 to 72 hours after intense exercise. Lack of knowledge about DOMS often hinders the rehabilitation and recovery process. This service aims to improve the community's understanding and skills in dealing with DOMS through a Community Service (PkM) program with a Participatory Education approach. This program was conducted through lecture and simulation methods to 52 participants in Marong Jamaq Utara Neighborhood, Mataram City, West Nusa Tenggara. The community service results significantly increased participants' understanding of DOMS. The improvement was measured using a pre-test and post-test comparison. Although participants knew that DOMS is a normal condition after exercise, only a few were able to perform proper rehabilitation. Thus, this PkM improved knowledge about DOMS, but further education is needed to enhance practical rehabilitation skills.

Abstract

High public health is a precondition for increasing human resource productivity. In relation to this, to create quality human resources, of course, many factors must be considered, including food factors (nutritional elements), health, education, information, technology and other service services. The purpose of Health Counseling on Providing Complementary Foods for Breast Milk is to update knowledge to mothers of babies and toddlers about Providing Complementary Foods for Breast Milk through Health Counseling. so that it can be used as a model for community empowerment in the form of efforts to increase active community participation. The method used in this activity is to provide Health Counseling on Providing Complementary Foods for Breast Milk. The result of this activity is that mothers understand the types and correct times to provide complementary foods for breast milk. The implementation of this Health Counseling has a positive impact on mothers of babies and toddlers in Buyut Udik, Central Lampung. After carrying out the counseling activity, knowledge about providing complementary foods for breast milk increased.

Abstract

Indonesia is a country with a relatively high rate of early marriage compared to other countries, so it will indirectly be filled with various problems, including reproductive health. Reproductive health is an important aspect in developing the quality of future generations. Through the community service program in the form of reproductive health education activities, it is hoped that it can contribute to increasing understanding of reproductive health and marriage age for teenagers at SMP N 2 Bekri, Central Lampung. The method used in this activity is promotion and providing counseling on adolescent reproductive health and the dangers of extraneous pregnancy. marry in the community. The results of the service activities showed that the participants were able to understand the importance of reproductive health from an early age and participated actively in outreach activities. This can be seen from the percentage of participant attendance of more than 70%. Participants also gave positive responses to the outreach activities. Thus, community service activities in the form of reproductive health education can: 1) increase teenagers' understanding regarding reproductive health; 2) the emergence of adolescent awareness regarding the ideal marriage age; and 3) extension activities run effectively

Abstract

This study examines the role of managerial capacity in enhancing the competitiveness of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in the global market. It highlights the importance of key factors such as financial literacy, strategic planning, leadership development, and digital adoption in improving SMEs' operational efficiency, market expansion, and long-term sustainability. Through a combination of survey data and case studies, the research identifies both the benefits and barriers of capacity-building initiatives, revealing that SMEs with structured management frameworks and access to training programs are more resilient and adaptable to market changes. The study concludes that continuous investment in managerial skills development is crucial for SME growth and economic contribution, recommending policy interventions and collaborative efforts between government, academia, and the private sector to strengthen SME competitiveness.

Abstract

Pilkada is one of the main mechanisms in the local democratic system in the region which aims to elect regional leaders directly by the people. The implementation of regional elections in various regions is still marred by various problems such as money politics, administrative violations and vote manipulation. Low public awareness of the importance of active participation in the election process also worsens the quality of local democracy. In this context, academics as an independent element have a strategic role in providing education to voters and monitoring regional elections in order to realize clean and dignified elections. The service article seeks to identify the role of academics in increasing public political awareness through voter education as well as evaluating the effectiveness of monitoring carried out by academics during the regional elections in Pesawaran Regency. The service methods used include seminar-based education and outreach, direct monitoring in the field, as well as interviews with various related parties, such as regional election organizers and the voting public. The data obtained was then analyzed qualitatively to provide a comprehensive picture of the impact of these activities on improving the quality of regional elections. The results of the service show that the education carried out succeeded in increasing the public's understanding of their rights and obligations in regional elections and reducing the potential for violations, such as money politics and intimidation. Academics involved in monitoring are also able to make real contributions by recording various violations and providing data-based input to Pilkada organizers. Apart from that, the success of this program is also measured by the increasing political awareness of the community and their active participation in monitoring the running of the regional elections. Based on existing findings, it can be concluded that the involvement of academics has a significant impact in increasing the transparency and integrity of regional elections. Therefore, it is recommended that academic involvement in the election process continue to be increased, both through continuous education and building a network of independent observers based on the academic community in various regions. In this way, it is hoped that future regional elections can run more cleanly, honestly and fairly.
