Abstract

The research background was motivated by the difficulty of students in learning Arabic, basically in learning foreign languages, vocabulary is one of the three elements of language that is very important to master. This study aims to develop vocabulary teaching textbook with singing method in Mts Hidayatus Sholihin and see the effectiveness of the textbooks developed. The purposes of the research are: 1) The development of vocabulary Teaching textbook with singing method for seven grade of Mts Hidayatus Sholihin Gurah Kediri. 2) The application of vocabulary Effective Teaching texbook with singing method for seven grade of Mts Hidayatus Sholihin Gurah Kediri. The researcher used R&D research method by Borg and Gall which consist of 10 steps and data collection method used in the study was interview, questionnaires and tests. The research shows that: 1) The result of product development is Arabic teaching textbook for seventh grade students containing vocabularies arranged according to the tone of the song. The result of the expert validationts of the product as follows: the result from material expert is 83, 07%, results from media expert is 93, 84%, and the result from Arabic learning practitioner is 98, 33%. Based on exposure of the datas show that vocabulary learning by singing method declared very good. 2) The results of T-test show: the result of t-count between the pretest and popost-tes is 3,262 while the result of t-table is 2,015. Then it can be concluded t-count> t-table, then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, that is, there are difference outcome in learning vocabulary at seventh grade of Mts Hidayatus Sholihin between before and after using singing method. From the result of experimental it can be concluded the singing method in vocabulary learning at seventh grade of Mts Hidayatus Sholihin was declared "effective".

Abstract

This study aims to explore teaching methods and strategies in teaching translation among lecturers at IAIN Ponorogo. In their teaching, the lecturers determine the high goals, that is being able to translate Arabic into Indonesian, and the reverse; However, students' language competence is not good enough to achieve that goal because translation is a work that must be supported by various types of competencies such as understanding text, understanding Arabic grammar, understanding methods and translation strategies, and so on. Student competencies are not in accordance with the specific goals in this education, and this fact is what leads lecturers to carry out effective teaching and use good types of teaching methods and strategies so that education is successful and students can achieve the goals. Researchers used a qualitative approach and explored descriptive facts such as written voices or individual speeches, contemplative traits and data sources. The data analysis method is descriptive analysis with three methods, namely data reduction and data presentation. The results of this study are 1) The method used in teaching translation: translation is word by word, because translation is done between separation by placing the translation under the source language in order to maintain word order. The word is translated as a word in a general sense. Pro translation because it produces contextual meaning of the source language into the target language appropriately. Therefore, translators are careful in translating cultural vocabulary and adjusting grammar. This method seeks to achieve the author's goals. 2) The strategy used is an expansion against the target, and the word element is an expansion in the target language, semantic translation, ordinal translation, transcription or semantic translation intersection. 3) And the learning outcomes obtained by students are good, academic results are not good. The result of the equation 70 (seventy).

Abstract

This study aims to identify problems using the dictionary online and how to solve these problems in the Program for the Study of Arabic Language Education, at the Islamic State University of Bangkulu. This study uses qualitative research methods with interview data collection and documentation techniques. Students teaching Arabic at the Islamic State University of Bangkulu participated in the study The use of data analysis technology in this study is descriptive analysis of qualitative data: data reduction, data presentation and conclusion results.Search results show that 1) problems that have been addressed in the use of the Arabic dictionary on the Internet in teaching Arabic is, the Arabic dictionary on the Internet can not translate one paragraph at a time, then there can be another problem related to the Internet that is not good. 2) Dealing with problems using the Arabic dictionary online in teaching Arabic is using many of the online dictionary more effective to use, or another online dictionary or asking directly to people who understand its meaning.

Abstract

This study aims to find out how the development of picture card media products for mufrodat learning at MI Al-Istiqomah Banjit Way Kanan. Researchers are interested in developing this media because mufrodat learning in MI is still using conventional media, so there needs to be media that can help in learning mufrodat at MI Al-Istiqomah Banjit Way Kanan. This study uses the type of research and development (Research and Development) or R&D, namely the research method used to produce a particular product and test the feasibility of the product. Using the ADDIE model developed by Dick and Carry, it is arranged programmatically with systematic sequences of activities in an effort to solve learning problems related to learning resources, needs and learning characteristics. This model consists of five steps, namely: Analysis (analyze), Design (design), Development (development), Implementation (implementation) and Evaluation (evaluation). This study produced a product in the form of picture cards for mufrodat learning, totaling 28 cards covering mufrodat learning during the even semester with the theme of addresses, family members, and family at home. So that it is expected that students will more easily understand the material presented by the teacher and can follow the learning process in a fun and not boring way. Based on the results of data analysis, after going through the process of validation and product testing, namely material validation by obtaining a percentage value of material feasibility of 81% and media validation of 78% and responses from student questionnaires of 80% which are in the very feasible category. It was concluded that the media was feasible and could be used as a supporting medium for learning Arabic, especially mufrodat.

Abstract

Learning Arabic as a second language requires effort and a high idea, especially for the novice learner. Students feel difficulty and fear of linguistic errors. This feeling of anxiety is said when learning Arabic. The objectives of the research are to know the level of students' anxiety (anxiety), to find out the reasons for students' anxiety, and to know the teacher's efforts to solve students' anxiety when learning the language. This research is a mixed research between quantitative and qualitative in a squential explanatory design. The method of data collection is: questionnaire, interview, documents. A sample of 67 students. Research results: Two students had no anxiety when learning Arabic, 10 students felt mild anxiety, 4 students felt moderate anxiety, 25 students felt severe anxiety, and 26 students felt most anxious when learning Arabic. The reasons mean that some of them memorize a few vocabulary, do not understand the subject of the Arabic language, and feel difficulty in interpreting the Arabic sentence, and they do not like to learn the Arabic language. The teacher’s efforts to solve students’ anxiety when learning the Arabic language is that the teacher knows the types of students’ learning background, uses simplified learning conditions, the teacher develops language games, and gives the teacher a separating factor as an ice break game when teaching, and the teacher gives the study material according to the students’ competence, and the teacher maintains social relations Close with students when teaching

Abstract

The purposes of this study were to find out the usage of expressions for improving speaking skill in teaching Arabic for students in the Islamic Junior High School 2 Kediri, and to know the effectiveness of it. The approach used for this research was a quantitative approach. As for the research method, it was the experimental method. The population in this research was the students in the Islamic Junior High School 2 Kediri in the 8th grade "A" with a total of 35 students. Then the researcher divided into two groups, namely the control group and the experimental group. The number of students in the control group was fifteen and twenty students were in the experimental group. The results of this research was T = 14,600 and sig (p) = 0,000, 0,505. H0 = Payback and H1 = Acceptable. So there was a difference between using expressions before and after. In other words, the application of expressions for improving speaking skill is useful for facilitating daily communication between students.

Abstract

Abstract: The COVID-19 pandemic affected not only profoundly negative impact, but also inspired an innovative learning model, especially Arabic learning at the Faculty of Dakwah, UIN Khas Jember. Lecturer and students used technology as a flipped classroom learning medium during the pandemic and post-pandemic. This study is carried out to describe 1) The planning for flipped classroom in Arabic learning during the pandemic and post-pandemic, 2) The implementation of flipped classroom in Arabic learning during the pandemic and post-pandemic. This study is qualitative research with a case study design approach. While, the presentation is focus on the explicit data collection activities of interview, observation, and documentation, as well as triangulation of sources and techniques for data validity. The data is analyzed with the interactive analysis of Miles and Huberman. The results conclude that 1) The lecturer has planned the objectives, materials, media, activities, and assessments before implementing the flipped classroom in Arabic learning, 2) The flipped classroom model that applied in Arabic learning at the Faculty of Dakwah is a traditional and mastery models. And during the pandemic, synchronous and asynchronous classes had been implemented by online, while in the post-pandemic period, asynchronous classes and face-to-face classes had been implemented on campus.

Abstract

Abstract

Keberadaan al-Qu’ran tanpa diragukan merupakan pengakuan secara eksistensial bahwa bahasa Arab memiliki nilai linguistik dan sastra yang melebihi bahasa lain di dunia ini. Jauh sebelum muncul dan berkembangnya ilmu bahasa, penduduk Arab sudah memiliki peradaban maju dalam kesustraan dan kebahasaan, hal tersebut dapat dibuktikan dengan berbagai macam kajian kebahasaan Arab mulai jaman Rasulullah Muhammad saw hingga sekarang yang masih tetap memiliki keistememaan dan keindahan yang menarik untuk diungkap. Kajian mengenai (linguistik) bahasa Arab sudah dilakukan oleh para ulama’ jauh hari sebelum Barat menemukan jati diri kebahasaannya. Meskipun dinamika kajian bahasa Arab selalu berkembang mengikuti perkembangan keilmuan, khususnya dalam bidang kebahasaan, namun bahasa Arab tidak pernah tercabut dari akarnya dan masih tetap murni, hal tersebut dikarenakan keberadaan al-Qur’an yang menjadi kitab suci agama Islam dan juga sebagai perisai bagi kemurnian bahasa Arab. Berbeda dengan bahasa Arab adalah bahasa latin (Inggris), meskipun sekarang memiliki popularitas dan pengaruh dalam dunia global namun dalam jejak sejarahnya tidak bisa lepas dari politik dan filsafat Yunani. Oleh sebab itu, ditinjau dari perspektif historis, bahasa Inggris saat ini tidaklah semurni bahasa Arab. Melalui tulisan ini, peneliti mencoba mengkaji secara komparatif terkait sejarah perkembangan dan tema kajian linguistik Arab dan Barat (latin) pada periode klasik dan pertengahan, juga bagaimana karakteristik keduanya yang dipengaruhi oleh dinamika keagamaan, sosiologi dan politik. Kajian ini sangat penting untuk menjembatani kajian linguistik kontemporer, khususnya kajian linguistik Arab.

Abstract

Banyak masalah penting yang dihadapi guru bahasa Arab sebagai bahasa kedua seperti halnya kesulitan siswa dalam mengucapkan kosa kata, memahami makna kata dan membedakan kosa kata lisan dan tertulis. Sehingga guru membutuhkan pembelajaran yang efektif dalam mengatasi kesulitan tersebut. Masalah lainnya yaitu kondisi psikologi siswa di sekolah menengah pertama masih merasa takut dan malas belajar membaca bahasa arab, sementara mereka masih suka bermain-main. Oleh karena itu dengan cara menggunakan permainan bahasa dalam proses belajar mengajar keterampilan membaca bahasa Arab akan memenuhi kesulitan-kesulitan bahasa yang disebabkan oleh kondisi psikologi siswa dalam proses belajar mengajar. Metodologi penelitian ini menggunakan: pendekatan Kuantitatif, penelitian empiris dan the equivalent pretest-postest design. Obyek penelitian ini adalah terdiri dari siswa-siswi kelas VII «B” dengan jumlah 40 siswa dan kelas VII «f” dengan jumlah 40 siswa di MTs Al-Huda Bandung Tulungagung Jawa Timur, tahun akademik 2010-2011. Menggunakan instrument penelitian: test, interviewdan questionnaire. Hasil penelitian dari penggunaan permainan bunyi bahasa “Saya di sini” dalam meningkatkan keterampilan membaca di Sekolah Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) Al-Huda Bandung Tulungagung, Jawa Timur, adalah: (1) efektif untuk pengucapan homofon dan homograf bahasa arab sampai dengan 90,94%. (2) efektif dalam mengartikan kosa kata sampai dengan 85,42%. (3) efektif dalam membedakan kosakata lisan dan tertulis sampai dengan 98,75%.
