Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to investigate the current state and challenges of remanufacturing practices in Indonesia, particularly in the heavy equipment sector, including key barriers and opportunities identification. Methodology: A survey involving 23 companies working in the heavy equipment sector was conducted to gather their remanufacturing practices, challenges, and perspectives. The study examines issues related to definitions, regulations, core availability, and quality assurance of remanufactured items. Results: The survey reveals wide variety and inconsistencies in defining remanufacturing due to the absence of standardized definitions and government regulations. This triggers complexities in business process especially in sourcing high-quality cores and communicating the quality of remanufactured items to consumer. Applications/Originality/Value: The findings highlight the need for future research to create a conducive ecosystem for remanufacturing in Indonesia including regulation and policy development. This study provides valuable insights for enhancing the development of the remanufacturing industry.

Abstract

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to analyze the consistency and suitability of the implementation of the Halal Product Assurance System (SJPH) in bakery MSMEs based on the Halal Product Assurance System (HAS) regulations in Indonesia, with an emphasis on environmental impacts and operational sustainability. Methodology: The research method used is qualitative descriptive observational. Results: The results of this study indicate that Rumah Roti UMKM has met 10 of the 11 criteria in the Halal Product Assurance System (SJPH), However, there is one criterion that has not been met, namely internal audit. Rumah Roti only conducts an internal audit once a year, which is considered insufficient to ensure compliance with halal standards and environmentally friendly practices consistently. Overall, although Rumah Roti has been quite good at implementing SJPH, improvements in internal audits are needed so that halal compliance and sustainability can be better maintained in the long term. Applications/Originality/Value: This study not only analyzes the implementation of the Halal Product Assurance System (HAS) in bakery MSMEs, but also emphasizes the environmental impact and operational sustainability. The focus on environmental aspects in halal certification is still rarely studied in the context of food MSMEs in Indonesia.

Abstract

This research aims to a systematic review and bibliometric analysis in electric vehicles topic. The analysis involved 325 articles published in the Scopus database from 1994 to 2023. The analysis examines the results of the study by observing trends in journals, authorship, and keywords. The results were visualized using VOSviewer to show graphical network keywords and using a spreadsheet application. The results show that this research area has expanded over a period of five years, namely 2019-2023. The leading journal in this field between 2019 and 2023, is Sustainability (Switzerland) followed by Energy Policy and Journal Research in Transportation Business and Management. Content analysis consists of the country where the research is conducted, the research subjects, the theoretical approach used, and the method. Based on the country where the study is China, followed by India, Malaysia, Thailand, and Indonesia. The subject of research on electric cars dominates when compared to other electric vehicles. The methods used are quite diverse in developing the model, so that studies on electric vehicles can still be developed in the future.

Abstract

The study explores the dual impacts of tourism in the religious sector, highlighting both its positive contributions and environmental challenges when sustainability principles are disregarded. A literature review employing the PRISMA method examined 55 articles from SCOPUS-indexed journals published between 2014 - 2024, resulting in 27 relevant articles on the sustainable religious tourism field. Findings underscored that religious tourism generates social, economic, and environmental impacts. A comprehensive management framework is advocated for sustainable religious tourism, necessitating collaboration among stakeholders. Central to this approach is balancing the interests of all stakeholders to mitigate conflicts of interest effectively. The study recommends formulating and implementing a religious tourism sector strategy. This involves defining management concepts, executing strategies, and enforcing supervision mechanisms to foster sustainable practices.

Abstract

This research presents a bibliometric analysis to map the development and direction of research on experiments in decision-making in courts, which focuses on publications indexed in the Scopus database from 1973 to 2024. 1973 was chosen as the start of the period because the first publication was found in that year. Bibliometric analysis methods were used, with data filtered using the Boolean search engine from the Scopus database, and analysis was carried out on June 7, 2024. Tools used for analysis included R, VosViewer, Mendeley, and Microsoft Excel. The results show fluctuations in the number of publications, with the highest peak occurring in 2022-2023 and declining in 2024. Most documents are in the field of Social Sciences, followed by Psychology, Mathematics, and Neuroscience. The United States dominates the most publications, while the main authors who contributed the most include Jones, A., along with several other authors. The University of Nebraska-Lincoln is in the top spot for a number of documents published. This research also provides an overview of research trends and collaboration in this area and can help plan future research.

With its decentralized and transparent nature, blockchain offers innovative solutions to enhance financial transactions, governance, and trust in various sectors. Conversely, AI holds transformative power for data analytics, decision-making, and automation, opening new avenues for efficiency and innovation. By integrating these technologies into Islamic economic systems, this paper examines how they can promote financial inclusion, ensure ethical transactions, and contribute to the broader goals of Islamic economics, such as justice, equity, and social welfare. The exploration is grounded in a comprehensive review of the scholarly literature, which delves into the opportunities and challenges of implementing Blockchain and AI within a Shariah-compliant framework. Ultimately, this paper seeks to provide a roadmap for future research and practical applications of emerging technologies in the context of Islamic economic thought, fostering a balanced and sustainable approach to economic development in a globalized world.
