Results: From the results of interviews and observations conducted by the researcher to teachers and school principals, the researcher found that there are 5 types of strategies given by teachers to handle children's speech delay: (1) Setting aside a seat for the subject to focus more on learning, (2) teaching children to speak more clearly and correcting errors in pronunciation, (3) providing story books with interesting pictures to tell stories about the subject, (4) inviting children to tell stories , and (5) provide books for coloring. Applications/Originality/Value: This study provides practical strategies for teachers to assist in the development of speech skills in children experiencing speech delay. The research highlights various methods, including seat isolation for better focus, corrective pronunciation practices, use of storybooks, storytelling activities, and coloring exercises. These strategies are directly applicable in early childhood education settings, especially for teachers working with children with special needs, and can help improve the learning environment for children experiencing speech delays.

Abstract

Purpose: In order to better understand how special sports schools in Surakarta implement learning management at the junior high school level, this study concentrates on three key areas: (1) learning planning; (2) classroom/field learning implementation; and (3) evaluation implementation. Methodology: The method used in this study is qualitative. Observations, interviews, and documentation are some of the methods used to gather data. Results: The analysis results show that the learning management carried out by the school includes four stages, namely (1) learning planning, (2) implementation of learning in the classroom/field, and (3) evaluation implementation. In principle, the school has implemented that management. The implementation of lesson planning, from creating mapping to making lesson plans, has been carried out even though only photocopies made by the subject teacher working group (MGMP) were used. The implementation of learning has also been going well, although the teachers still haven't been able to make the best use of their time. In conducting evaluations, many teachers still focus on evaluating outcomes rather than the evaluation process, so these evaluations tend to measure achievements rather than the success of the learning implementation. Applications/Originality/Value: The suggestions that can be given are: the principal should require teachers to write their lesson plans by hand, the school should, if necessary, reward teachers who diligently carry out their duties, and for the teachers, it is hoped that they will always adhere to all established rules so that they can enjoy their duties more.

Abstract

Purpose: This study was conducted to analyse the use of code-mixing in Livjunkie’s YouTube content focusing on the types of code-mixing and the factors un-derlying their use. Methodology: Under the umbrella of qualitative research, the data are the utterances of Livjunkie, a popular Indonesian beauty vlogger, which contain code-mixing collected using documentation. The data are then analysed referring to Muysken (2000) for the types of code mixing and Holmes (2017) for the factors influencing code mixing. Results: The study revealed that insertion was the most common type of code mixing (61.8%), followed by congruent lexicalization (21.8%) and alternation (12.7%). Furthermore, three main factors influencing code-mixing were identified i.e. recipient identity (53.33%), social relationship (28.57%), and topic change (35.71%). Applications/Originality/Value: The frequent use of code-mixing highlights the informal and engaging nature of Livjunkie’s content, which aims to connect more personally with its di-verse audience. This research contributes to understanding the role of code-mixing in digital content and offers insights into how multilingual creators like Livjunkie effectively use the strategy to increase audience engagement and cultural representation while navigating global and local language dy-namics.

Abstract

Purpose: To find out what problems exist in the classroom when students are learning and what solutions are commonly used to solve these problems, then by using what strategies are used by english teachers in implementing the Problem-Based Learning model to develop the speaking skills of intermediate level students. Methodology: This research uses a method involving an approach that emphasizes on teachers' experiences called phenomenology through semi-structured interviews, and classroom observations used to analyze how teachers implement problem-based learning in developing secondary school students' speaking skills and data collected using a qualitative research approach. Results: The various data collection methods provide a comprehensive understanding of the effectiveness of classroom learning and the learning environment. The data show that the problem-based learning model focusing on developing the speaking skill of junior high school students is still quite ineffective in increasing students' confidence and fluency in English conversation because most students still have difficulty in pronunciation, teachers need to have more additional strategies in creating an environment that influences students' learning development, especially in developing their speaking skill. Applications/Originality/Value: To help students understand complex academic subjects in English, this study found that teachers need a strategy that keeps students from getting bored in class and that serves to increase students' focus on English speaking skills using problem-based learning model. A differentiated curriculum can also better balance academic and conversational language development by focusing on these areas, ensuring that students achieve both. The results of this study add to our understanding of immersive language teaching and provide guidance for improving comparable initiatives to enhance student performance.

Abstract

Purpose: 1) To describe the assessment that has been applied in IPAS learning in ele-mentary schools, 2) Describe the specifications of the Digital Assessment of Science Literacy Based on Socioscientific Issues (ALIS SSI), and 3) Analyze the validity and reliability of the Digital Assessment of Science Literacy Based on Socioscientific Issues (ALIS SSI). Methodology: This type of re-search is Research and Development with the ADDIE model (analysis, de-sign, development, implementation, evaluation) which is only limited to the development stage. The subjects of this research were teachers and grade IV students at SD IT Muhammadiyah Al-Kautsar Kartasura, MI Muhammadiyah PK Kartasura, SDN Bratan 3, and validators. Methodology: Data collection techniques were carried out by observation, interviews, documentation, product validation sheets, and try out. Data analysis tech-niques used data reduction, data presentation, conclusion drawing, descrip-tive quantitative, and Pearson Correlation validity test and Cronbach's Alpha reliability. The data validity test used triangulation of sources and techniques. Results: 1) Learning assessments applied by teachers are still conventional (paper and pencil), not yet digital-based and there are no assessments made specifically to measure students' science literacy. 2) Digital Assessment of Science Liter-acy Based on Socioscientific Issues (ALIS SSI) can be applied with android type smartphones and consists of 4 menus. This assessment aims to measure science literacy. 3) The development results obtained 14 valid and reliable items with a Pearson Correlation validity score of 0.609-0.896 and Cronbach's Alpha reliability between 0.725-0.829. The product validity test obtained a value of 87.5% including very feasible criteria. Thus the Digital Assessment of Science Literacy Based on Socioscientific Issues (ALIS SSI) can be used to measure the science literacy of grade IV elementary school students on the material Love Nature and the Environment. Applications/Originality/Value: In using this assessment, it is necessary to prepare the learning process that must integrate socioscientific issues, with the hope that not only science liter-acy can be measured but also morals and ethics towards the environment.
