Abstract

This study analyzes the impact of the Ready to Marry Certificate policy on reducing early marriage rates in West Kotawaringin. Using a quantitative method with a case study approach, this research involved prospective couples and Religious Affairs Office (KUA) officials. Data were collected through questionnaires and documentation to obtain a comprehensive picture of the effectiveness of this policy. The results showed a significant decrease in the number of marriage dispensation applications after the implementation of the policy. In addition, the policy played a role in raising public awareness of the importance of delaying marriage to a more mature age. However, policy implementation still faces a number of challenges, including a lack of coordination between relevant institutions and community resistance in some areas. This study concludes that the Surat Keterangan Siap Nikah policy has great potential to reduce the number of early marriages, but needs further improvement and adjustment to overcome the existing obstacles. The findings are expected to serve as a foundation for the development of more effective policies in the future.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of Akta Cerai in determining the iddah period and identify the challenges and opportunities faced by the Office of Religious Affairs (KUA) of West Kotawaringin Regency in the context of divorce administration. The researcher uses a qualitative approach with a case study method, and this research combines in-depth interviews, direct observation, and analysis of relevant documents to map the dynamics of divorce registration practices in the area. The results show that one of the main challenges is the discrepancy between the date of the shar’i divorce and the date of the official recording in the Deed of Divorce, which often results in legal uncertainty for women regarding their rights during the iddah period. This phenomenon is exacerbated by factors such as the lack of public legal awareness, limited technological infrastructure at the KUA, and the high workload of administrative officers. On the other hand, the study also found several opportunities for system improvement, including using digital technology through the SIAP Nikah application and collaboration with local religious institutions to improve community legal literacy. The article highlights the importance of harmonization between Islamic legal principles and state administrative regulations in ensuring gender justice and the protection of family rights. Strategic recommendations include strengthening the capacity of KUAs through officer training, equitable integration of digital systems, and intensive socialization of fiqh iddah and divorce administrative procedures. Further research is needed to evaluate the effectiveness of technology implementation and the social impact of related policy interventions.

This study aims to assess the success rate of learning Ghoroibul Qur'an through the Microsoft Teams e-learning platform for students of the Islamic Education Study Program at the Open University. The research method applied is mixed methods that integrates quantitative and qualitative approaches. Quantitative data were collected through questionnaires filled out by students, while qualitative data were collected from in-depth interviews and observations, in-depth interviews with students and lecturers. The results showed that e-learning in Ghoroibul Qur'an course can improve students' understanding Of Imalah, Isymam, Sakta, Tashil And correct pronunciation. Although there are some challenges, such as the lack of direct interaction between students and teachers, students who actively use digital learning technology tend to have better results, on the other hand, when learning to listen to the reading of students who have weak signals, the teacher is not fully able to correct due to the lack of clarity of the reading. In addition, this study identified the importance of applying blended learning methods to improve the effectiveness of learning Ghoroibul Qur'an. The findings are expected to contribute to designing more effective learning strategies in the digital era, especially in Islamic Religious Education at the University of Terbuka (UT) Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the Aswaja Study Program in shaping the religious character of class XI students at SMK Islamic Qon Gresik. With a qualitative approach and case study method, data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis followed four stages with source triangulation for validity. The results showed significant improvement in four aspects of students' religious character: awareness of worship (prayer consistency, ritual participation), moral improvement (courtesy, respect for differences), development of tolerance (inclusive interaction, dialogue between groups), and transformation of religious understanding (spiritual internalization, social care). Success is supported by institutional support, quality of teachers, discussions, case studies, field trips, student enthusiasm, and relevance of materials. Obstacles include differences in basic understanding, inconsistent attendance, limited method innovation, and lecture saturation. Implementation strategies include interactive routine studies, exemplary teachers, integration of values in the curriculum, and collaboration with extracurricular activities. Globally, this model indicates that the internalization of moderate religious values (tawassuth, tasamuh, tawazun, i'tidal) has the potential to be an effective strategy in strengthening adolescents' religious character, preventing radicalism, and enriching moderate religious literacy. This model is worth adapting in vocational and general education institutions in Muslim countries as well as global communities facing the challenges of intolerance and extremism. This research examines the impact of the Aswaja religious studies program, which matches your interest in education and religious programs

Abstract

The rapid growth of digital media has reshaped Islamic discourse in Indonesia, becoming a key space for promoting and contesting narratives such as Moderate Islamic understanding (wasathiyah). This study uses a qualitative approach to analyse how Islamic digital platforms, Islami.co and IBTimes.id, construct and disseminate moderate Islamic discourse through Quranic interpretation and narrative strategies. The study uses Norman Fairclough’s Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) to examine four selected articles interpreting key verses like QS Al-Baqarah 2:143 and QS Al-Imran 3:104. Findings reveal that while both platforms promote inclusive and anti-extremist views, they differ in theological framing and sociocultural orientation. Islami.co emphasizes classical exegesis with contextual storytelling, portraying moderation as moral balance and personal piety. Meanwhile, IBTimes.id frames moderation in civic and political terms, linking it to national unity and global diplomacy. Both platforms sacralize Pancasila by linking it with Quranic principles, reinforcing narratives aligned with national identity. Their digital strategies, such as content structuring and SEO optimisation, often align with the perspectives of dominant Islamic institutions like NU and Muhammadiyah. Despite youth involvement, both platforms tend to reproduce existing institutional norms. This study reveals that theological interpretations and broader socio-political dynamics and communication practices shape moderate Islamic moderation understanding in digital media and affirms how scripture, politics, and media converge in shaping contemporary Islamic identities in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study explores the representation and integration of moral values in English for Nusantara, an official English as a Foreign Language (EFL) textbook used in Indonesian secondary schools. Utilizing a qualitative research design grounded in Fairclough’s three-dimensional model of Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA), this research analyzes how moral values are constructed through textual features, discursive practices, and sociocultural contexts. Data were collected by systematically examining reading texts, dialogues, exercises, and visual materials across all units of the textbook. The analysis followed three stages: textual analysis, interpretation of discursive practices, and explanation of sociocultural implications. The findings reveal two dominant patterns: (1) the implicit and explicit embedding of moral values through character-driven scenarios and cultural narratives, and (2) the integration of local wisdom and universal values fostering multicultural awareness. These findings underscore the textbook's dual function as both a language learning tool and a medium for moral education, in line with Indonesia’s character education policy. The study offers implications for curriculum developers, textbook authors, and language educators in designing culturally grounded and value-oriented EFL materials.
