EDU RESEARCH : Jurnal Penelitian Pendidikan merupakan jurnal yang diterbitkan oleh IICLS (Indonesian Institute for Corporate Learning and Studies), dan sebagai sarana publikasi hasil penelitian serta sharing perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan. Jurnal ini memuat artikel yang belum pernah dipublikasikan sebelumnya yang berupa artikel hasil penelitian ataupun penelitian terapan, artikel telaah yang berkaitan dengan perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan proses pembelajaran. Informasi mengenai pedoman penulisan artikel dan prosedur pengiriman artikel terdapat pada setiap penerbitan. Semua artikel yang masuk akan melalui ‘peer-review process’ setelah memenuhi persyaratan sesuai pedoman penulisan artikel. Penerbitan jurnal ini dilakukan sebanyak tiga bulan sekali yaitu pada bulan Maret, Juni, September, dan Desember.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan hal-hal sebagai berikut. Pertama, mendeskripsikan keterampilan menulis teks cerpen siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 4 Bukittinggi sebelum menggunakan media film pendek. Kedua, mendeskripsikan keterampilan menulis teks cerpen siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 4 Bukittinggi sesudah menggunakan media film pendek. Ketiga, mendeskripsikan pengaruh media film pendek terhadap keterampilan menulis teks cerpen siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 4 Bukittinggi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah one group pretest and posttest design. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 4 Bukittinggi yang terdaftar pada tahun ajaran 2024/2025 dengan jumlah siswa 280 dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling berdasarkan standar deviasi dari 9 kelas. Data dalam penelitian ini adalah skor hasil tes keterampilan menulis teks cerpen siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 4 Bukittinggi sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan media film pendek. Instrumen penelitian ini adalah tes unjuk kerja, yaitu tes keterampilan menulis teks cerpen. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan rumus persentase, rumus rata-rata hitung, uji persyaratan analisis data, dan uji-t. Hasil penelitian ini ada tiga. Pertama, keterampilan menulis teks cerpen siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 4 Bukitttinggi sebelum menggunakan media film pendek berada pada kualifikasi cukup (C) dengan rata-rata 65,05. Kedua, keterampilan menulis teks cerpen siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 4 Bukitttinggi sesudah menggunakan media film pendek berada pada kualifikasi baik (B) dengan rata-rata 85,48. Ketiga, berdasarkan uji-t, hipotesis alternatif (H1) diterima pada taraf kepercayaan dan derajat kebebasan (dk) = (n-1) karena nilai thitung > ttabel (6,97>1,67). Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan media film pendek berpengaruh terhadap keterampilan menulis teks cerpen siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 4 Bukittinggi.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka pada mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Pancung Soal. Kurikulum Merdeka yang diperkenalkan oleh Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan bertujuan untuk memberikan keleluasaan kepada sekolah dan guru dalam merancang pembelajaran yang lebih fleksibel dan sesuai dengan kebutuhan peserta didik. Dalam konteks mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia, implementasi kurikulum ini berfokus pada pengembangan keterampilan literasi, kemampuan berpikir kritis, serta apresiasi terhadap karya sastra. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam dengan guru Bahasa Indonesia, observasi kegiatan pembelajaran, dan analisis dokumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka di kelas XI berjalan cukup efektif, meskipun terdapat beberapa tantangan seperti keterbatasan sarana dan prasarana, serta adaptasi guru terhadap kurikulum yang baru. Secara umum, guru mampu memanfaatkan kebebasan dalam memilih metode pembelajaran yang sesuai, seperti diskusi kelompok, presentasi, dan analisis teks sastra. Di sisi lain, siswa merespons positif dengan meningkatnya partisipasi aktif dalam kegiatan pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa Kurikulum Merdeka berpotensi meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di SMA Negeri 1 Pancung Soal jika didukung oleh kesiapan sumber daya yang memadai dan pelatihan guru yang berkelanjutan. Implementasi ini juga memberikan kontribusi terhadap peningkatan kemampuan literasi dan pemahaman siswa terhadap karya sastra nasional.

Abstract

The phenomenon of learning communication in international classrooms has its own complexity, especially in the use of directive speech acts and teachers' speech strategies. At Mondial International School Batam, the diversity of students' cultural and linguistic backgrounds creates challenges in delivering learning instructions. This study aims to identify and analyze the form of directive speech acts and teachers' speech strategies in learning Indonesian in class XII. Through a qualitative approach with descriptive method, data were collected using the free listening technique (SBLC) of Indonesian teachers' speech, with validation using triangulation of data, investigators, and theories. Data analysis revealed five forms of directive speech acts: ordering (52 utterances), pleading (4 utterances), demanding (49 utterances), suggesting (31 utterances), and challenging (11 utterances). The dominant speech strategy is Straightforward Speech with Positive Politeness (67 utterances), followed by Straightforward Speech without Politeness (63 utterances), Negative Politeness (16 utterances), and Vague Speech (1 utterance). This communication pattern shows the tendency of teachers to use directive speech acts of ordering with positive politeness strategies to create a conducive and inclusive learning atmosphere, while maintaining respectful relationships with students in the context of an international classroom.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low mathematics learning outcomes of class VIII MTs NU Batahan students, namely around 74-94% of the number of students who were still below the KKM. This is thought to be influenced by several factors, including family factors and school factors. Based on these conditions, researchers are interested in conducting research on the influence of family and school on students mathematics learning outcomes in class VIII MTs NU Batahan, Mandailing Natal Regency, Academic Year 2022/2023. This type of research is correlational using the ex post facto method. The results of the research show (1) there is a significant influence of the family on the mathematics learning outcomes of students in class VIII MTs NU Batahan Mandailing Natal Regency for the 2022/2023 Academic Year with a value of tcount > ttable, namely 3.793 > 1.711. (2) there is a significant influence of school on the mathematics learning outcomes of students in class VIII MTs NU Batahan Mandailing Natal Regency for the 2022/2023 Academic Year with a value of tcount > ttable, namely 3.249 > 1.711. (3) there is a significant influence of family and school on the mathematics learning outcomes of students in class VIII MTs NU Batahan Mandailing Natal Regency for the 2022/2023 Academic Year with a value of Fcount > Ftable namely 7.93 > 2.42.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the effect of the Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) type cooperative learning model on the biography text writing skills of class X SMA Negeri 1 Pancung Soal students. This type of research is quantitative research with experimental method. The design of this research is Posttest Only Control Group Design. The population in this study were class X students of SMA Negeri 1 Pancung Soal totaling 367 people. The sample was determined using purposive sampling technique consisting of control and experimental classes, namely class X Phase E.11 as a control class with 33 people. Class X Phase E.9 as an experimental class totaling 33 people. Based on the t-test results, it is concluded that the Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) type cooperative learning model has an effect on the biography text writing skills of class X students of SMA Negeri 1 Pancung Soal because the t-table value <count (1.79<4.47). So, it can be concluded that the cooperative learning model of Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) type can be used as an alternative in learning to write biography texts of grade X students of SMA Negeri 1 Pancung Soal.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the test results at SMPN 7 Tualang, students who have difficulty solving math story problems. Students have difficulty in understanding the problem, students have difficulty in planning problem solving in the problem, students have difficulty in completing the planning in the problem, and students have difficulty in stating the final result. Based on these conditions, researchers are interested in conducting research by taking the formulation of the problem is how the form of difficulties faced by students in solving math story problems based on Polya's problem solving steps. The purpose of this research is to describe students' difficulties in solving math story problems based on Polya's problem solving steps in Class VIII.2 SMP N 7 Tualang. This type of research is descriptive quantitative. The subjects in the study were students totaling 29 students, data collection techniques using a description test of 3 questions. Data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. Based on the results of the analysis of data collection techniques using written tests, the results of the research that has been done are that many students have difficulty in solving math story problems using Polya's steps, including 45.40% of students who find it difficult to understand story-shaped problems, 48.65% of students who find it difficult to plan problem solving in math problems, 61.68% of students who find it difficult to solve problems in math problems, 23.13% of students who find it difficult to state the final result. Based on these findings, it is hoped that students can study harder by increasing practice working on math problems in story form.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the effectiveness of descriptive text writing skills using Project Based Learning assisted by video media in class IX students of SMP Negeri 1 Padang Panjang. The method used in this research is an experiment with a post-test only control group design. The research results show that the skill of writing descriptive text using Project Based Learning assisted by video media is more effective than conventional methods. The average score of students who used this method was in the very good category, while those who did not use this method were in the fair category. Thus, this learning model is recommended to improve the quality of learning to write descriptive texts in schools.

Abstract

The implementation of speaking skills teaching strategies at MTsN 1 Padang City includes seven teaching components consisting of students, teachers, objectives, materials, strategies, media, and evaluation in learning which are mutually integrated and have an influence on the process of implementing teaching strategies. (a) students in speaking learning are active, creative and critical thinking learning subjects during the implementation of speaking skills teaching strategies, (b) teachers in the Merdeka curriculum as facilitators, mentors, and learning designers, (c) the objectives of teaching speaking skills are taken from the indicators of each learning objective of the speaking and presenting elements, (d) the teaching material for speaking skills is in the form of poetry texts that are in accordance with the theme and development level of grade VIII students, (e) the teaching strategy for speaking skills used by cooperative learning teachers is in the form of group discussions and presentations using video media as direct objects of student understanding, (f) the teaching media for speaking skills is visual media in the form of poetry reading videos, LKPD, and Indonesian language LKS, (g) the evaluation of teaching speaking skills is an evaluation of student performance in assessing poetry declamation using an assessment rubric consisting of aspects of indicators related to learning outcomes (CP) of the speaking and presenting elements. The implementation of this strategy uses a cooperative learning approach that is effective in improving students' understanding of the material, especially in analyzing poetry. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the implementation of the speaking skills teaching strategy at MTsN 1 Padang City has been categorized as good. This can be seen from the seven teaching components that support its implementation. Although not all students are able to achieve good minimum completion criteria.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berjudul "Tindak Tutur Ekspresif Guru Bahasa Indonesia dalam Pembelajaran Teks Berita pada Kelas VII SMP Swasta Manjushri Padang." Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis penggunaan tindak tutur ekspresif oleh guru dalam proses pembelajaran, khususnya dalam pengajaran teks berita. Tindak tutur ekspresif merupakan salah satu kategori tindak tutur yang berfungsi untuk menyampaikan perasaan atau emosi penutur, seperti mengucapkan selamat, berterima kasih, atau meminta maaf. Dalam konteks pendidikan, penggunaan tindak tutur ekspresif oleh guru diharapkan dapat meningkatkan interaksi dan komunikasi yang efektif antara guru dan siswa. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif, yang bertujuan untuk memberikan gambaran yang jelas dan akurat mengenai fenomena yang diteliti. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi dan wawancara dengan guru serta siswa di kelas VII SMP Swasta Manjushri Padang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru menggunakan berbagai bentuk tindak tutur ekspresif dalam pembelajaran, yang berkontribusi pada suasana belajar yang positif dan mendukung keterlibatan siswa. Penelitian ini juga menemukan bahwa penggunaan bahasa yang tepat dan ekspresif oleh guru dapat membantu siswa dalam memahami materi pelajaran dengan lebih baik. Selain itu, penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya keterampilan berbahasa dalam menjalin hubungan sosial yang baik di dalam kelas. Dengan demikian, hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi bagi pengembangan metode pengajaran bahasa Indonesia yang lebih efektif, serta meningkatkan kualitas interaksi antara guru dan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini juga merekomendasikan perlunya pelatihan bagi guru untuk meningkatkan kemampuan mereka dalam menggunakan tindak tutur ekspresif secara optimal dalam pembelajaran.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the importance of portfolio diversification and effective communication in managing financial risk in 2025. Changes in global economic conditions that are increasingly dynamic and complex require innovative and adaptive risk management strategies. Portfolio diversification is one of the main approaches to minimize losses and increase investment stability. In addition, transparent and accurate communication between market participants, investors, and financial managers plays an important role in making the right decisions. This research uses the literature study method and secondary data analysis to evaluate diversification and communication practices in the modern financial context. The results show that a combination of optimal portfolio diversification and effective communication can improve financial resilience amid global economic challenges. The findings provide important insights for investors, money managers, and policymakers in crafting more resilient financial strategies in the coming era. The result shows that the involvement of networks in social media affects the effectiveness of Fight the Haze campaign. Also, the social relations between organizations that are united under the alliance of Fight the Haze campaign are based on sentimental networks.
