Working remotely often creates communication barriers that impact effectiveness and cause work frustration. This study aims to study the effect of organizational communications (downward, upward and horizontal) where employees work from home on job satisfaction, with the assumption that good communication can provide job satisfaction. This study also analyzes differences in communication attitudes between management and employees both downward and upward, seen from openness, empathy and supportiveness. Questionnaires were distributed to 100 respondents randomly who work from home (or hybrid), spread across Jakarta city and the suburban towns from various industries. Tests were carried out using multiple regression methods, step test, and sign test to see differences in communication attitudes between downward and upward. The results of the study show that downward, upward and horizontal communication have a partial effect on the job satisfaction of employees who work from home. Furthermore, from the results of the step test analysis it was found that horizontal communication was the biggest contributor to job satisfaction. The results of the sign test indicated that there were differences between downward and upward communication, it can be concluded that upward communication is more open, more empathetic, and more supportive than downward communication.

Abstract

Papua is one of the provinces in Indonesia that has enormous agricultural potential because it has very large areas of land. Most of Papua's population works in agriculture. Even though the agricultural sector is still the basis of hope for the majority of the population, its contribution to GRDP is less than 25 percent. For this reason, it is necessary to carry out an analysis to determine the agricultural potential that exists in each regency/city in Papua Province and the basis and non basis agricultural sectors that exist in each regency/city in Papua Province. The analytical methods used in this research are Shift-Share and Location Quotient. The results of the Shift-Share analysis, seen from the total value (Shift Share) of the Agricultural sector in all Regencies/Cities in Papua Province, is positive, which means that the growth of the sector is progressive and has the potential to be developed. Based on the results of the LQ analysis, there are 27 regencies included in the basis sector, which means that these regency have a surplus in their agricultural sector and can meet the needs of their region and other regions. On the other hand, Mimika Regency and Jayapura City are included in the non-base sector.

Abstract

Cocoa processed products represent a significant proportion of the output of the plantation subsector in West Sulawesi Province, Indonesia. The West Sulawesi Provincial Government continues to encourage an increase in cocoa production. This is done as a form of government commitment to the potential of cocoa products, which are the mainstay of the region. It is therefore important to identify the factors that influence the increased competitiveness of processed cocoa products. The objective of this research is to ascertain the factors that influence the enhancement of competitiveness by utilising internal dimensions to assess competitiveness. There are three principal dimensions that are widely acknowledged: human resource competence, product excellence, and technological innovation. This research employs both primary and secondary data obtained directly from cocoa product businesses in West Sulawesi Province. The data is then analysed using SEM from the PLS 3.0 application.

Abstract

The characteristics of imperfect markets are characterized by the presence of transaction costs. One sector that is an imperfect market is the agricultural sector. The purpose of this study was to analyze the structure of transaction costs and the implications of transaction costs on the benefits of hybrid corn farming. The research method uses transaction cost analysis and multiple linear regression. The research was conducted in Dompu Regency, West Nusa Tenggara with 120 respondents as corn farmers. The results show that implementation costs are the component of transaction costs that have the highest percentage of 43.35%, then supervision costs are 28.37%, transportation costs are 20.61%, negotiation costs are 3.70%, information costs are 3.41% and coordination 0.57%. These transaction cost components are distributed in each hybrid corn farming cycle, among others; (1) birth cycle; (2) cropping cycle; (3) maintenance cycle; (4) supervision; (5) harvest cycle; and (6) postharvest cycle. The postharvest cycle is the cycle that has the highest percentage of 23.17%, then the maintenance cycle is 18.53%, the harvest cycle is 17.65%, the cropping cycle is 17.28% and the control cycle is 13.99%. Transaction costs have a positive and significant effect on the profits of hybrid corn farming.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze innovative work behavior at BNPB which will be used in this study to explore and examine the impact of transformational leadership and human resources on the quality of human resources. This research method uses a quantitative approach. The number of samples = 239 BNPB employees was obtained. Data was collected through survey method and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling with WarpPLS approach. The results of this study found that the transformational leadership variable (X1) that has the highest weight is building the organization. In the innovative work behavior variable (Y1), which has the highest weight is developing ideas. Finally, the variable quality of human resources (Y2) which has the highest weight is continuous learning. Furthermore, there are two relationships whose results are not significant, and one relationship whose results are significant. The relationship between Transformational Leadership on Innovative Work Behavior and Transformational Leadership on Human Resource Quality obtained insignificant results, while the relationship between Innovative Work Behavior on Human Resource Quality obtained significant results for each variable relationship of the three factors
