Abstract

The ability to convey mathematical concepts verbally and non-verbally is known as mathematical communication. Students' mathematical communication can be improved through the ethnomathematics-based PBL model. This study aims to analyze the application of the ethnomathematics-based PBL model to enhance students' mathematical communication in mathematics subjects. The method used is a pre-experiment with a one-group pretest-posttest design. This research was conducted on fourth-grade students at SDN Cibening 01, Paamijahan District, Bogor Regency. The sample used was non-probability sampling, with a total sample in class IV, consisting of 30 students. The instruments used were students' mathematical communication tests and observation sheets to implement the ethnomathematics-based PBL model. The mathematical communication test was administered in two stages, namely pretest and posttest. The research obtained an average score of students' mathematical communication on the pretest of 50.78%, while on the posttest it was 82.07%. Data processing was analyzed using SPSS 26 for Windows with paired sample t-test with α (0.01) with a significance value of 0.000 <0.01. The results showed that there was a significant increase in students' mathematical communication between pretest and posttest. Thus, it can be concluded that there is an increase in students' mathematical communication before and after the application of the ethnomathematics-based PBL model in class IV SDN Cibening 01.

Abstract

The Islamic education policy implemented during the New Order era (1965-1998) had a significant impact on the development of madrasah in Indonesia. The policy included the integration of general and religious curricula, as well as modernization efforts that affected the management and quality of education in madrasah. The main focus of this policy was the incorporation of madrasah into the national education system through strict regulations, including in terms of curriculum and management. In the Reform era after 1998, there was a policy change that focused more on giving greater autonomy to madrasahs, as well as decentralizing education management, which allowed more flexibility for madrasahs in developing their curriculum and management. The purpose of this study was to analyze the impact of Islamic education policies during the New Order era on the development of madrasahs, as well as to examine policy changes during the Reform era, especially regarding decentralization and applicable regulations. The method used in this study is qualitative with a descriptive approach, through literature studies that include laws, regulations, and scientific literature related to Islamic education policies. The results showed that policies during the New Order era succeeded in strengthening the position of madrasahs in the national education system, although the challenges of modernization and resource gaps were still obstacles. In the Reform era, autonomy and decentralization provided opportunities for madrasah to be more independent, although there were still challenges in terms of regulatory implementation and access to technology. In conclusion, Islamic education policies from the New Order era to the Reformation showed a significant shift in the management of madrasah, with positive impacts on the quality and flexibility of management, although challenges of access and modernization still needed to be overcome.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and map the main themes in the literature review on literacy in kindergarten for school readiness through a bibliometric approach. The focus of this study is scientific articles published through the Scopus database between 2016 and 2025 totaling 1108 articles. The study was conducted with three main analyzes, namely citation, co-citation, and co-occurrence using VOSviewer software. The results of the citation analysis show that the main focus of the study revolves around children's internal capacities, such as executive function, language, and self-regulation, as well as the influence of interventions and the quality of early childhood education programs. The co-citation analysis groups the literature into three major themes, namely: 1) the impact of the quality of early childhood education on long-term academic achievement; 2) the role of executive function and self-regulation as predictors of academic achievement; and 3) the central contribution of executive function and self-regulation in developing school readiness. Meanwhile, the co-occurrence analysis revealed four main clusters, namely: 1) executive function and self-regulation; 2) parent-child relationships; 3) early childhood education and school readiness; and 4) basic literacy and numeracy skills. These findings provide a comprehensive overview of the direction and focus of developing research, and can be a basis for formulating more effective early childhood education policies and practices.

Abstract

The Internship learning model is part of one of the learning techniques that presents experiences to students personally or in groups accompanied by tutors or trainers. Internship-based learning activities have a good impact and contribute to developing new knowledge and deepening the expertise of students. This research activity aims to see the internship learning model in educating the professionalism of students or students in the field of journalism, especially in the field of photography. The method is carried out with qualitative descriptive by developing the concept of internships carried out in an input-process-output manner. The project-based learning technique is used in a participatory approach to work. The participants who were supervised in this case were 3 students with internships in online news Bola.com The results obtained were that the media activity was carried out almost 24 hours in capturing news and broadcasting it with attractive packaging, both in language and images. The news packaging is adjusted to the editorial issues that are conceptualized in one phenomenon of events. Daily activities in the media office include writing news, features, and opinion articles in the form of print media, electronic media, and online media. Journalism is closely related to journalism and mass media or media communication, press, and broadcasting (radio and television). The activities in the internship activities carried out are exploring and sharing sports information provided through a photo along with a caption which is the result of a sports photojournalist. A photo along with an informative caption is a very common thing for life. A photo or image that conveys certain information to make it more interesting and closer to the actual conditions.

Abstract

Teacher job satisfaction requires special attention, because of its impact on organizational goals. Each teacher has different job satisfaction due to differences in individual characteristics and needs. Good, polite, gentle, and supportive interpersonal communication in a warm atmosphere can provide valuable input for evaluating personal, group, and organizational development. This study aims to determine the relationship between the principal's interpersonal communication and teacher job satisfaction. This type of research is quantitative and was conducted in Pamijahan District, Bogor Regency. The respondents of the study were 94 PAUD teachers selected using random sampling techniques. The data obtained were analyzed using quantitative descriptive and inferential statistics. The results of the study showed that the average score of the principal's interpersonal communication and teacher job satisfaction was in the very good category. In addition, the correlation test produced a Sig value of 0.018 and a Pearson Correlation of 0.243, which indicated a positive but weak relationship between the principal's interpersonal communication and teacher job satisfaction. This indicates that although the principal's interpersonal communication plays a role in teacher job satisfaction, there are other factors that also have an influence.

Abstract

This research explores the relevance of K.H. Ahmad Dahlan’s struggle and the founding of Muhammadiyah with the prophetic mission of Prophet Muhammad SAW, particularly in the context of Islamic reform, the liberation of the ummah, and the modernization of Islamic education. Muhammadiyah emerged as a progressive Islamic movement through an organized system, marking a shift from traditional religious authority centered on individual clerics to a more systematic and rational approach. Inspired by global Islamic reform movements and the Prophet’s method of building a da’wah community, K.H. Ahmad Dahlan rejected taqlid (blind following), superstitions, and secularism. Using a library research methodology, this study analyzes historical and conceptual connections that reflect the alignment between the Prophet’s strategy and Muhammadiyah’s ideological and practical framework. The findings reveal that Muhammadiyah consistently embodies the values of tawhid, ijtihad, mu’amalah dunyawiyah, and modern education as a form of holistic (kafah) Islamic implementation—following the prophetic legacy in establishing a just and progressive Islamic civilization.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji kontribusi Ibnu Khaldun dalam merintis disiplin ilmu sosiologi dalam kerangka tradisi intelektual Islam, khususnya melalui karya monumentalnya, Muqaddimah. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan metode penelitian kepustakaan, penelitian ini mengeksplorasi konsep-konsep sosiologi Ibnu Khaldun seperti 'ashabiyah (kohesi sosial), 'umrān (peradaban), dan teori siklus kebangkitan dan kejatuhan negara dan masyarakat. Ibnu Khaldun tidak hanya mendokumentasikan fakta-fakta sejarah tetapi juga memberikan analisis kritis terhadap dinamika sosial, politik, dan ekonomi peradaban manusia. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemikirannya sangat relevan dengan teori-teori sosiologi modern dan menawarkan kerangka kerja alternatif untuk mengembangkan ilmu-ilmu sosial berdasarkan nilai-nilai Islam. Oleh karena itu, Ibnu Khaldun tidak hanya berdiri sebagai tokoh terkemuka dalam sejarah intelektual Islam tetapi juga pelopor dalam pengembangan pemikiran sosial yang integratif dan visioner.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the controversy surrounding the Islamization of Science through the thoughts of Ismail Raji Al-Faruqi and its implementation in Islamic education. The main focus of this study is how the Islamization of Science can overcome the dualism between Islamic values ​​and the influence of Western secularism, especially in curriculum development and student character. Al-Faruqi emphasized the importance of integrating rational and divine knowledge to build an Islamic education system, which can produce an intelligent, faithful, and noble generation. By freeing knowledge from secularism and directing it toward a monotheistic orientation, students are expected to become perfect human beings capable of contributing to Islamic civilization. This study uses a qualitative approach with literature review to analyze Al-Faruqi's thoughts and the concept of Islamic epistemology in the reconstruction of knowledge based on revelation and reason. The discussion in this study also highlights the challenges and opportunities in implementing the Islamization of Science in the modern era, as well as its relevance in shaping an Islamic education paradigm that is responsive to the dynamics of the times without neglecting its Islamic identity. The implementation of this paradigm for students is realized through the integration of monotheistic values ​​in every discipline of science, the development of analytical thinking skills rooted in Islamic ethical principles, and the internalization of educational goals that place science as a means of self-actualization and devotion to Allah SWT.

Abstract

The liberalization of education has become a global phenomenon that has brought significant changes to various educational systems, including Islamic education. This study aims to analyze the impact of educational liberalization on Islamic education and explore solutions to integrate the two concepts. The research employs a literature review method by analyzing various academic sources, including books, journals, and official reports related to Islamic education and educational liberalization. The findings indicate that educational liberalization has both positive and negative impacts on Islamic education. On the positive side, liberalization improves access to quality education and encourages innovation in curriculum and teaching methods. However, on the negative side, there are threats to Islamic values due to the growing influence of secular culture. Previous studies suggest that liberalization may lead to a shift in values within Islamic education, necessitating effective adaptation strategies. To address these challenges, Islamic educational institutions need to adopt innovative approaches, such as integrating modern knowledge with Islamic teachings and implementing more interactive learning methods. Additionally, the role of governments and society is crucial in providing policy support and resources to ensure Islamic education remains relevant in the era of liberalization. This study concludes that Islamic education must adapt to changes without losing its identity. With the right strategies, Islamic education can continue to thrive and contribute positively to building a civilization grounded in Islamic values.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of organizational climate on teacher work stress in three accredited private senior high schools (A-rated) in Pamijahan District, Bogor Regency. Using a quantitative approach with a survey design and total sampling technique, 56 full-time foundation teachers participated as respondents. Data were collected through a closed-ended questionnaire, which had been tested for validity and reliability. The data were analyzed using simple linear regression with SPSS. The results indicate that teachers’ perceptions of the organizational climate fall into the very good category, while the level of work stress is categorized as very high. Regression analysis reveals a significant effect of organizational climate on teacher work stress, with a coefficient of determination of 65%, suggesting that a substantial portion of the variance in work stress can be explained by differences in perceived organizational climate. These findings underscore the critical role of work environment quality in influencing teachers’ psychological well-being. However, the results also show that, in addition to organizational climate, other factors contribute to teacher stress but were not explored in this study. Therefore, future research is recommended to examine additional variables to gain a more comprehensive understanding of work stress dynamics in educational settings.
