Penelitian tentang ilmu kependidikan dan bertujuan membandingkan keefektifan model pendekatan contextual teaching and learning (CTL) dan pendekatan discovery yaitu dengan memberi soal pemecahan masalah pembelajaran matematika terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif mahasiswa PGSD Universitas Muhammadiyah Kotabumi. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu dengan desain pretest and posttest nonequivalent group design. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa kelas A dan kelas B PGSD Universitas Muhammadiyah Kotabumi Tahun akademik 2019/2020. Instrumen/alat ukur dalam penelitian ini yaitu berupa soal-soal yang memerlukan pemecahan masalah, soal yangdiberikan juga telah divalidasi oleh ahli matematika sebagai acuan untuk mengukur kemampuan berpikir kreatif mahasiswa.

Abstract

Kajian ini merupakan pengembangan dari penelitian sebelumnya tentang efektifitas manajemen kelas terhadap konsentrasi belajar siswa (Amelia & Siregar, 2022). Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk melaksanakan penelitian lebih dalam tentang Pengaruh Manajemen Kelas Terhadap Hasil Belajar Matematika Pada Materi Fungsi Kuadrat Kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Na IX-X Aek Kota Batu. Sampel yang diambil sebanyak 59 siswa dari empat kelas yang di seleksi dengan menggunakan simple random sampling. Menggunakan metode regresi linier sederhana yang mengaplikasikan penelitian deskriptif. Hasil yang diperoleh adalah (1) manajemen kelas pada pembelajaran matematika materi fungsi kuadrat berada pada kategori baik yaitu 52,54% ; (2) Hasil belajar siswa pada materi fungsi kuadrat matematika memperoleh nilai rerata 78,25 dalam MID semester 1 tahun ajaran 2022/2023; (3) Total pengaruh manajemen kelas pada hasil belajar matematika terhadap materi fungsi kuadrat sejumlah 43,8%. Dengan demikian, terdapat 43,8% hasil belajar siswa yang dipengaruhi oleh manajemen kelas, sedangkan komponen lain yang tidak terhitung pada penelitian ini berpengaruh pada sisanya sebesar 56,2%. Berdasarkan hal tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa manajemen kelas dapat mempengaruhi hasil belajar siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Na IX-X Aek Kota Batu pada pelajaran fungsi kuadrat.

Abstract

Alat penilaian merupakan alat ukur untuk menilai dan sejauh mana siswa memahami materi yang disampaikan. Alat penilaian yang dikembangakan peneliti menggunakan aplikasi Quizizz. Tujuan pada penelitian ini untuk mengetahui kelayakan alat penilaian menggunakan aplikasi Quizizz dengan mengetahui validitas, reliabilitas butir soal, Uji tingkat kesukaran, dan Uji daya beda. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan menggunakan model pengembangan 4-D Thiagarajan yang dimodifikasi menjadi 3 tahapan. Penelitian diawali dengan pendefinisian (define), perancangan (design) dan pengembangan (develop). Instrumen divalidasi oleh validator sebelum diujicobakan kepada siswa. Instrumen soal penilaian divalidasi oleh ahli materi dengan hasil sebesar 83% (sangat layak), ahli media 77% (layak) dan ahli Bahasa sebesar 88% (sangat layak) sehinga alat penilaian dengan aplikasi Quizizz sangat layak digunakan. Validitas item soal menyatakan 21 butir soal valid dan 4 soal tidak valid. Reliabilitas instrumen penilaian dinyatakan reliabel dengan mendapatkan koefisien reliabel sebesar 0,926 dan termasuk dalam kategori sangat tinggi. Uji tingkat kesukaran 14 soal kategori mudah dan 11 soal kategori sedang, sedangkan uji daya beda 1 soal dalam kategori baik sekali, 15 soal kategori baik 3 soal kategori cukup, sebanyak 6 soal kategori jelek dan jelek sekali.

Abstract

Teaching the truth is a principal matter that must be given to children from an elementary age. Because, children will easily actualize the value of truth if it is imprinted from the foundation. This study aims to describe the efforts of teachers in increasing the understanding of elementary students aged 6-12 years about the concepts of Islamic teachings including bayani, 'irfani, and burhani. Of course, this theory of truth will be compared between the truth from Western and Islamic perspectives. This research uses a qualitative approach with the method of literature study. Obtaining and analyzing data comes from literature review materials in the form of books, scientific articles, proceedings, and final assignments (thesis, thesis, dissertation). Research data analysis materials were obtained from credible websites such as Google Scholar and Sinta. The results of this study concluded that the teacher's efforts to increase elementary-age students' understanding of bayani, 'irfani and burhani as basic concepts of truth from an Islamic perspective were carried out well. This is based on (1) mainstreaming truth based on revelation/al-Qur'an (the word of Allah swt.) as the highest authority in measuring truth. Then (2) logic in the form of reason, empirical and intuition becomes a supporting factor for students in understanding the truth of Divine words.

Abstract

In Islam, physical education is no less important than other education. Because in the perspective of Islamic education, humans are created from two elements, physical (physical) and non-physical (spiritual). This study aims to analyze physical education for elementary age children. Research using library research or library research draws conclusions using content analysis methods, namely making conclusions (inferences) that can be imitated and with valid data, taking into account the context. This method is intended to analyze all discussions regarding the body in terms of the perspective of Islamic educational philosophy from several literature or manuscripts that examine this matter. The results of this study found that physical education is an important thing to give to children from an elementary age. As Rasulullah SAW. has taught friends to teach their children to ride, swim, and archery, all of which require physical strength. Thus, physical health will be a driving factor for elementary age children in strengthening non-physical or spiritual aspects. The conclusions of the study are (1) physical education is very much needed in the physical and motor development of elementary age children; (2) physical fitness is needed by children to increase their concentration in learning; and (3) physically and mentally healthy children have the opportunity to create critical and constructive learning products.

Abstract

Teachers' awareness of work discipline is still relatively poor in schools. This study aims to determine the relationship between situational leadership and school culture with the work discipline of teachers at SDIT Al-Hijrah 2 Deli Serdang. This study uses a quantitative approach. Data were collected by means of a questionnaire involving 42 respondents, then analyzed by statistical analysis of multiple correlations, with the help of SPSS version 17.0. The results of the research and analysis of statistical data show that, partially, the situational leadership variable has an effect of 0.582, which means that there is a moderate relationship between the situational leadership variable and teacher work discipline, namely 58.2%. Furthermore, the school culture variable has an effect of 0.771, which means that 77.1% has a strong relationship between the school culture variable and the teacher's work discipline. Simultaneously, the relationship given by the school principal and school culture variables to teacher work discipline is 0.610%, which is 61%, while 39% (100% -61%) is again influenced by other variables. On this basis, it can be concluded that situational leadership and school culture have a strong relationship with the work discipline of elementary school level teachers.

Abstract

The teacher has the main role as a leader in the learning process. For this reason, teacher awareness of the importance of the profession and work motivation in improving teacher performance. This study aims to determine the relationship between professional commitment and work motivation on the performance of teachers in Medan city madrasas at the basic education level. In data analysis, this study used quantitative methods using a correlational approach, measured using a questionnaire instrument. Data analysis using descriptive statistics. This thesis uses a sample of 57 teachers in Madrasah Medan, Medan who were selected using the Slovin formula. The results of the study concluded that (1) there is a significant relationship between professional commitment to teacher performance, (2) there is a significant relationship between work motivation and teacher performance, and (3) there is a significant relationship between professional commitment and work motivation on teacher performance.

Abstract

Modernization is a necessity in madrasas, Islamic boarding schools, and Islamic educational institutions. This is in accordance with Islamic guidance that other than Allah is new according to human nature which wants change. This study aims to describe the footprints of the process of modernization of education at Al-Azhar Asy-Syarif Islamic Elementary School, North Sumatra. The researcher uses a qualitative methodology with a constructivist approach, this approach assumes that social reality is built and constructed by the individuals involved in it. This approach is taken to reveal how individuals understand and interpret the social reality that occurs around the object of research, with data collection techniques commonly used in the constructivist approach. The results of this study found that the phenomenon of modernization of Islamic schools is a change that occurs in the teaching system in schools, as has been implemented by SD Islam Al Azhar Asy-Syarif, North Sumatra. This can be seen from (1) the adoption of digital-based modern teaching methods; (2) provision of learning facilities that are relevant to the technological era, such as laboratories, digital libraries, and comfortable study rooms; (3) preparation of a learning curriculum that prioritizes improving skills (soft skills), strengthening intellectual insights, and teaching materials that train students' critical thinking and higher-order thinking skills.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the competence of SD/MI level teachers in the learning evaluation process. This is intended as an effort to classify the form of assessment of elementary age children. This study uses a qualitative approach with the method of literature study. Sources of data and study analysis materials are relevant scientific works including books, articles and proceedings. This study concludes that a teacher is required to be able to carry out assessments and evaluations of learning processes and outcomes and to utilize the results of these assessments and evaluations in an effort to take reflective action to improve the quality of learning. Evaluation is interpreted as a systematic process carried out to assess an object based on certain criteria and prerequisites. Some of the evaluation principles needed as a guide in evaluation activities include; valid, objective, fair, integrated, open, comprehensive and continuous, systematic, based on criteria, and accountable. The overall evaluation includes 3 aspects, namely (1) cognitive aspects which are closely related to the ability to think, (2) psychomotor aspects related to physical activity, and (3) affective aspects including character, behavior such as attitudes, interests, self-concept, values and morals.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of development of educators in teaching in the digital era which has an impact on the learning outcomes of elementary school students, especially PAI lessons. In line with this, the research aims to describe learning outcomes in multimodal models using animated videos and prove the effectiveness of learning on PAI learning outcomes. This research was carried out using two types of quantitative research, namely descriptive research and experimental research. This research was carried out in two classes that had different characteristics, both in terms of students' backgrounds and students' general academic abilities. Data was collected through observation sheets and tests. Data is processed using statistical regression tests (regression). Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that the multimodal learning model using video animation had an effect on the learning outcomes of PAI with the acquisition of a Significance Value of 0.001 <0.05. Based on this, the multimodal learning model using video animation can be used as an alternative to improve Islamic education learning outcomes that have a variety of backgrounds in learning styles (kinesthetic, audio and visual).

Abstract

Communication of school principals with subordinates is one of the determining factors for the success or failure of school governance. This study aims to analyze the communication patterns of the principal with teachers and education staff at SDN 16 Bilah Barat. This type of research includes qualitative with descriptive analytical study method. Collecting research data using the method of observation, interviews and documentation studies. Next, the data were analyzed using data reduction techniques, data presentation, and conclusions. Test the validity of the research using data triangulation techniques. The results of this study concluded that the communication built by the school principal was considered effective. This can be seen from the application of 2 communication patterns, namely First the school principal uses a chain pattern in announcements received from the head of the school's superiors who will share the information with teachers and education staff. The principal also uses a chain pattern in giving warnings to his members. Second, the communication patterns of all channels are also used by school principals, educators and education staff in their daily lives at school. Everyone can communicate with each other without going through any intermediaries. Thus, effective communication patterns are carried out in elementary schools.
