Abstract

Every religious-based college definitely uses verses from the Koran as guidance and beliefs that must be carried out, as well as the Sigantang pencak silat college in Nagari Rura Patontang uses selected verses in every ritual of Sigantang silat activities. Either with a predetermined verse read before practice. This ritual practice is carried out by Pencak Silat Sigantang in Nagari Rura Patontang as a means of getting closer to Allah and the Koran through this ritual. This research uses qualitative research. The research approach uses observation, interviews and documentation methods. This research is based on field research, namely explaining and exploring clear conditions and phenomena regarding the situation that occurred. This research reveals symptoms as a whole through collecting data from naturalistic settings, using the researcher himself as the main or key instrument. Sigantang Pencak Silat is a cultural tradition that has been preserved to this day and has had many social and divine influences that have had a positive impact on society. This tradition is always presented for social purposes in the general public or society. This tradition also encourages people to be close to the Koran and to Allah because silat uses holy verses from the Koran. The verses used are 1. Al-Fatihah, 2. Ayat Kursi, 3. Al-Iklas, 4. Al-Falaq, 5. An-Nass. In pencak silat, the influence of reading the Koran is very important, including calming the soul, controlling emotions, and protecting oneself from various enemy attacks. Then the views of teachers and students regarding pencak silat can be said to be the same. Namely, they agree that pencak silat is the practice of people who practice and are required to use the reading of the holy verses of the Koran.

Abstract

Bughat in the Perspective of the Al-Qur'an (Comparative Study of Tafsir Al-Azhar by Buya Hamka and Tafsir Al-Misbah by Quraish Shihab)" is the result of literature research aimed at answering various questions regarding the meaning of bughat in Al-Qur'an. Qur'an, how Buya Hamka and Quraish Shihab interpret bughat in the Qur'an, and what influence bughat has on aspects of people's lives. The data in this research uses qualitative research techniques, namely data is collected and quoted by analyzing the interpretive science approach. This approach uses a comparison method between two Mufassir, namely Buya Hamka and Quraish Shihab. The primary data source in this research is the verses of the Al-Qur'an using QS. Al-Hujurat verse 9 as the main object of study is supplemented with other verses in the Al-Qur'an. From this research we can conclude that, bughat is an act that exceeds the limits and is unjust carried out by individuals or groups or groups. The topic of this research is a very important topic to study because if it is not understood systematically it will be fatal and the seeds of violence against the state and religion will emerge. Furthermore, these two Mufassir gave an interpretation of the meaning of bughat which was not much different because the style of interpretation they used was adabi ijtima'i. Buya Hamka interprets bughat as someone who persecutes. Meanwhile, Quraish Shihab interprets bughat as an individual or group who goes beyond limits, violates the law and tries to seize power. The verses in the Qur'an when discussing bughat are not only about politics and power. However, there are also social, legal, cultural, economic problems and even all aspects. This proves that the scope of bughat is very broad and is closely related to aspects of life in society. So attention needs to be paid to prevent social conflicts like this from occurring in society.

Abstract

This Journal Is Entitled The Meaning Of Tartil In The Qur'an Surah Al-Muzzammil Ayat: 4 (Comparative Study: Tafsir Al-Munir, Tafsir Al-Qurtubi, Tafsir At-Thabari), which discusses what the meaning of tartil is according to the Ulama', the community and especially according to the Ulama' interpretations that the author chose, namely Wahbah Az-Zuhaili, At-Thabari and Imam Al-Qurtubi, and this research was researched using library research by collecting data related to this research, then explained based on the data provided obtained. The data collection technique used is by collecting related books, scriptures and articles. And using a comparative interpretation method, namely by listing three interpretations from different books and then analyzing them and examining the differences and similarities in the problem. In this research, the formulation of the problem is: what is the meaning of tartil in the Al-Qur'an which is generally understood by the public, what is the meaning of tartil in the Al-Qur'an according to Ulama' in general, what is the meaning of tartil in the Al-Qur'an surah Al -Muzzammil verse 4 according to the teachings of Az-Zuhaili, Imam Al-Qurtubi, and Imam At-Thabari in their respective Tafsir. The results of this research show that the meaning of tartil which is generally understood by the public as reading the Al-Qur'an which is read slowly, among the public in general is only limited to the meaning slowly without exploring the meaning of tartil in detail, and as for tartil according to the Ulama', one of whom is Imam Al-Razi, namely, tartil is a confirmation of the obligatory command of tartil for qari (readers), namely the obligation to read slowly and recite clearly and give meaning to the reading, and Imam Al-Razi also quotes the opinion of Imam Az -Zajjaj regarding the meaning of tartil, namely "Reading clearly in each letter, whereas according to the imams the interpretation chosen by the author himself, namely the first, according to Wahbah Az-Zuhali tartil in Al-Munir's book of commentary is "Read the Qur'an slowly by explaining the letters, this will help to understand the Qur'an and reflect on it." (Wahbah Az-Zuhaili interprets slowly by explaining the letters to understand and contemplating the Al-Qur'an, the second according to Imam Al-Qurtubi is "Do not rush in reading the Al-Qur'an, but read it carefully, slowly, and also reflect on the meaning of what you read", the third According to Imam At-Tabari, "explain the contents of the Qur'an when you read it, and read it tartly and well."

Abstract

This study is entitled "Analysis of Critical Thinking Skills of Grade IV Students in Science Learning in Elementary Schools". The purpose of this study was to determine the critical thinking skills possessed by grade IV students at SDN 03 Muara Ciujung Timur as well as factors that affect students' critical thinking skills. The method in this study uses qualitative using a case study approach with data collection techniques using test, interview, observation and documentation techniques. The results of the research that have been conducted there are 2 students with high critical thinking skills, 3 students with medium critical thinking skills, and 5 students with low critical thinking skills. The results of the test instruments, interviews and student observations have not met the indicators of critical thinking, namely: Activities to formulate questions, Limit problems, Test data, Analyze various opinions, Avoid highly emotional considerations, Avoid excessive simplification, Consider various interpretations, Tolerate ambiguity. Then the factors that influence it are: the internal factors that affect thinking skills are: physical condition, anxiety, intellectual development, and learning motivation while the external factors are: teacher teaching style, teacher teaching strategies and style. The conclusion from the analysis of critical thinking skills of grade IV students in science learning in elementary schools is that students have not beenable to meet critical thinking indicators so it can be said that the level of critical thinking skills of students at SDN 03 Muara Ciujung Timur is low.

Abstract

This research aims to see whether ICT-assisted STEM-based science learning can improve students' critical thinking and creative thinking skills. The population consisted of 3 classes and one class with a total of 28 students was selected. In students' critical thinking skills there was an increase from 68.15 to 82.44 and N-gain was 0.45 in the medium category. Students' creative thinking abilities also increased from 75.80 to 87.90 and N-Gain was 0.54 in the medium category. Referring to the results, it can be concluded that ICT-assisted STEM-based science learning can improve students' critical thinking and creative thinking skills so that students are expected to be able to compete in the very complex 21st century.

Abstract

Reading is an activity that has the aim of understanding the content of what is written and is also a skill that elementary school students must master because with good reading skills students can learn a lot of knowledge. The purpose of writing this journal is to describe the problematic factors of low reading ability in elementary school students. This type of research is qualitative research using the library study method, with data collection techniques from various reading sources in the form of articles on various types of problems in elementary schools. The research results show that 1) The first problematic cause of low reading ability is students' low interest in reading, books that are less interesting to students, inadequate libraries, short reading time of only 15 minutes. 2) The role of parents in increasing literacy, is providing motivation and encouragement, 3) The role of teachers in increasing literacy, providing media and methods that attract students' interest, teachers providing reading corners in the classroom.

Abstract

This research discusses the influence of the REACT learning model on the geography learning outcomes of class XI IPS MAN 2 Padang City students. This research aims to determine: 1) Geography learning outcomes after using the REACT learning model. 2) Implementation of learning using the REACT learning model. 3) The influence of the REACT learning model on learning outcomes. Quasi Experimental Design research design type Pre-Test and Post-Test with Non-Equivalent Control-Group Design. The data collection technique uses a written test consisting of 25 Multiple Choice (PG) questions. The data analysis technique uses an independent samples test. The research results showed that the results of learning geography using the REACT learning model in the experimental class were higher than those in the control class which did not apply the REACT learning model. These results are supported by the results of the independent samples test, obtained tcount > ttable, namely 2.866 > 1.667.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the perceptions of mechanical engineering students regarding occupational health and safety in the machinery workshop of SMK Dhuafa Padang. This research method uses this research using quantitative data. Based on this quantitative data, it will be possible to describe the perception of mechanical engineering students regarding occupational health and safety in the Dhuafa Padang Vocational School machining workshop. This research was conducted in January–February 2024 at SMK Dhuafa Padang. The total population is 60 students. The sampling technique used was a total sampling of 60 students. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that students' perceptions regarding occupational health and safety at the Dhuafa Padang Vocational School's Machinery Workshop on student health and safety indicators are 84%, so they are included in the Good category. Students' perceptions regarding occupational health and safety in the Dhuafa Padang Vocational School's Machinery Workshop on work environment health and safety indicators are 80.9%, so they are included in the Good category. Student Perceptions Regarding Occupational Health and Safety in the Machinery Workshop of SMK Dhuafa Padang on the tool health and safety indicators are 78.2%, so it is included in the fair category. Student Perceptions Regarding Occupational Health and Safety in the Machinery Workshop of SMK Dhuafa Padang on Material Health and Safety Indicators are 79.6%, so it is included in the fair category.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the relationship between career adaptability and hardiness of final year education students at Padang State University. This study uses quantitative methods with a correlational quantitative method design. Data collection techniques using proportionated stratified random sampling. The sample in this study amounted to 375 respondents. This research instrument uses The Career Adapt-Abilities Scale Indonesian Form scale from Sulistiani et al., (2019) and a hardiness scale based on the theory of Kobasa., et al (1982). The results of the analysis used product moment correlation and found that there was a significant relationship between career adaptability and hardiness of final year education students at Padang State University.

Abstract

Understanding Islam is one of the important components that students must have in an effort to deepen or study so that in the future they do not misunderstand the values of Islamic teachings. There are various factors that can influence the level of Islamic understanding of each individual, both internal and external factors. Supporting students' achievement of a good Islamic understanding of information systems includes the ability to be critical, careful, wise, think objectively and appreciate the diversity of Islamic information obtained. This research aims to find out whether there is an influence of the use of social media on the Islamic understanding of Information Systems Students class of 2021. The research method used is a qualitative method with a case study approach. The data collection techniques used were questionnaires, interviews and documentation. The results of the research show that there is an influence of the use of social media on the Islamic understanding of Information Systems Students class of 2021 at Mataram University of Technology. The magnitude of the influence that social media has on Islamic understanding shows a figure of 21.2%. Social media has an influence in shaping students' mindsets, determining and developing understanding of the Islamic information they receive. Students who have good and strong personalities can determine their views and understanding of the information they receive, especially Islamic information. However, there are also some students who do not cross check the information they obtain.
