Abstract

Islamic boarding schools as one of the oldest education that was born and grew and developed in Indonesia has a very important role, both for the advancement of Islamic education and for the Indonesian nation. In the history of Indonesia's struggle for independence, pesantren was one of the spearheads in fighting the colonialists. However, nowadays, pesantren are better understood as a group that only studies religion and classical books, so that for general knowledge they are considered behind. The world of students is also sometimes still considered a closed or exclusive world so that it is considered backward in the face of the development of the modern world. Society views that the times have developed towards the era of globalization, so pesantren are required to be able to adjust to these changes, so that after graduating from pesantren, students are not only experts in the field of religion but are able to adjust to the times. With these demands, modern pesantren emerged that included many aspects of modernization, for example including information technology or the freedom of access to social media. Based on this presentation, the author is interested in examining whether the entry of modernity into pesantren is an advance or a threat, so the purpose of this study is to see the extent to which modernity affects teaching in pesantren. This research uses qualitative research methods with a literature model. The stages in analyzing data are doing it by reducing data, presenting data and drawing conclusions.

Abstract

Summative assessment refers to a summary of a student's performance and is intended to be reported at the end of a program of study. Although summative assessments do not have a direct impact on learning, they often influence decisions that can impact student learning. This research uses field research with qualitative methods. This method is used to explain complex phenomena by collecting detailed data. The approach used is phenomenological, namely to understand the experiences of research subjects, phenomena, including behavior, perception, motivation, etc., in the context of certain languages and natural environments. Based on the interview findings, before carrying out a summative evaluation, the class teacher carries out a formative evaluation first on PAI learning in junior high school. After carrying out the formative assessment, the PAI teacher at SMPN 1 Surakarta carried out a summative assessment. Summative assessment occurs when all learning material has been completed or at the end of learning, namely during PTS and PAS. At SMPN 1 Surakarta, the summative assessment questions are in the form of multiple choice, true false, matching and essay. Regarding obstacles, because SMPN 1 Surakarta is a state school, the obstacles faced depend on the average level of student achievement. If students are unable to achieve the KKM, they will be given compensation by processing the funding questions submitted in the hope of being able to achieve an assessment according to the specified KKM. Summative assessment is related to summarizing student achievements, and is directed at reporting at the end of a study program. Summative assessments do not have a direct impact on learning, although they often influence decisions that may have consequences for students learning.

Abstract

This writing was motivated by the decline in social manners and moral ethics in association, which led to the emergence of a number of negative effects in the community. The method in this study uses a qualitative approach and study literatur.. The results of this study indicate (1) the process of internalizing Islamic religious values through several stages, namely providing information to students, then establishing two-way communication to provide values to students, and students understanding Islamic religious values and then implementing them in the form of social behavior according to with understanding and examples seen. (2) the method of internalizing Islamic religious values in shaping the socio-religious behavior of students, including recitation, exemplary, and habituation. (3) the result of internalizing Islamic religious values in shaping the socioreligious behavior of santri is the formation of social behavior that is in accordance with Islamic religious values, such as courtesy, humility, brotherhood, independence and friendship.

Abstract

The homeland of the archipelago, especially the Java region, has given birth to many prestigious scholars and claimants of syar'i. This fact is revealed in historical records from the 18th to 20th centuries, where Nusantara significantly became the source of birth of international class scholars. In fact, some of them reached the level of recognition so that they were invited to become teachers in the Grand Mosque and the city of Makkah. This journal tells the story and intellectual legacy of a prominent Indonesian scholar, Shaykh Mahfudz at Tarmasi, who has become a role model for students around the world. This article discusses the life journey of Shaykh Mahfudz, the peak of his achievements in the field of religious science, and his positive influence on generations of Islamic students. Through a historical and analytical approach, this journal explains how Shaykh Mahfudz's thoughts and teachings have shaped the character and spirituality of the santri, motivating them to pursue scientific excellence and moral. By strengthening religious and ethical values, Shaykh Mahfudz at Tarmasi became an inspiring model for Islamic education.

Abstract

The discussion on the relationship between Islam and Javanese culture in Indonesia is intriguing. Culture is defined as a complex system that encompasses values, norms, beliefs, language, art, customs, institutions, technology, and creative products of humans. The focus od the research is on Javanese culture, which is prominent in Indonesia. The connection between Islam and Javanese culture is reflected in a long and diverse history, influenced by various ethnic groups, religions, and cultures united within one nation. This research adopts a literature review method, analyzing information from various literary sources such as books, research journals, and scholarly works. The conclusion indicates that the relationship between Islam and Javanese culture is inseparable, despite some contradictions. A thorough study of Islamic teachings is necessary to ensure proper integration of religious values and cultural traditions in the daily lives of the Javanese community.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between workshop facilities and interest in learning with the learning outcomes of students in class XI of Machining Engineering in the Fractional Machining Technique Subject at SMK Negeri 1 West Sumatra. During the lesson, it was found that some workshop facilities were unused and many students lacked the willingness and awareness to follow the lesson well. Students do not fully pay attention to the directions given by the teacher and many students' learning outcomes are low. The type of research used in this study is correlational quantitative research. In this study, the population is class XI students of the Mechanical Engineering Department at SMK Negeri 1 West Sumatra in the 2023/2024 school year. Sampling in this study used the Probability Sampling technique with the Simple random sampling method considering that the population in this study was homogeneous. Based on the research data and the results of the analysis, it can be concluded that between workshop facilities and learning interest in the practical learning process on student learning outcomes in the subject of milling machining techniques at SMK Negeri 1 West Sumatra there is a correlation coefficient of workshop facilities, 0.082 with a significant 0.627 and Learning Interest with the practical learning process on student learning outcomes in the subject of milling machining techniques at SMK Negeri 1 West Sumatra there is a correlation coefficient (r) of 0.312 with a significant 0.056.

Abstract

Pesantren in the era of thecolonialism for independence not only serves as a scientific institution in the field of religion, but also serves as an institution to foster awareness and love of the homeland, awareness of nation and state. The issuance of Presidential Decree of the Republic of Indonesia as 22 Year 2015 on National Sanctuary, has confirmed and devoted the physical struggle of kyai and santri in defending, fighting and defending the Republic of Indonesia from invaders. This paper wants to know the history of the struggle of the pesantren when dealing with the invaders. Islamic figures with jihad to defend and defend Islam as has been done by kyai and pesantren.

Abstract

Indonesia is a unique country with its diversity in terms of ethnicity, race, customs, traditions, culture, language, beliefs and beliefs that can blend together in the ideology of Pancasila. Islam as a religion of rahmatan lil-alamin emphasizes the principle of moderation in all aspects of life, including religion. Religious moderation in Islam reflects balance, simplicity, and middleness in living a spiritual life. The aim of writing this work is to review the concept and practice of religious moderation in Islam. The systematics of writing this paper uses the Library Research or Literature Review method, which has a research focus on books, journals and magazines related to the studies raised in the paper. The implementation of religious moderation in Islam is a fundamental principle in living daily life in accordance with the Islamic teachings of rahmatan lil-alamin. Moderation, which is reflected in the concepts of Wasatiyyah (middleness) and Tawazun (balance), namely placing Muslims on the middle path, preventing them from extreme attitudes and fanaticism. In worship, social relations, economics, education, health and lifestyle, the implementation of religious moderation has a profound positive impact. An attitude of tolerance, balance between this world and the hereafter, and sustainability in carrying out religious and social obligations are the core of religious moderation. In facing the challenges of the times, such as unbalanced media influence, changes in social values, and lack of understanding of Islamic teachings, the implementation of religious moderation is becoming increasingly important. Strengthening religious literacy, dialogue between religious communities, and the active role of ulama and community leaders are solutions in maintaining the principle of moderation.
