Abstract

The focus of this paper is to discuss the impact of the arrogant behavior of children of state officials on relations with others in the perspective of Armada Riyanto's Philosophy of Ethics. The method used by the author in discussing this theme is a critical analysis of relational ethics based on the concept of I and the Others Relationalism initiated by Armada Riyanto. The main source of this article is the book Relasionalitas which was written by Armada Riyanto himself. The arrogant behavior of the children of state officials resulted in the destruction of good relations with others. Arrogant behavior caused by the perpetrator's arrogance and arrogance causes others to only be considered as a complement in the relationships of everyday human life. So that in everyday relations it is not uncommon for others to be only used as objects of violence or persecution. Violence is always contrary to human nature and certainly injures human dignity itself. Armada Riyanto initiated the relational concept of I and the Other so that the other is not only seen as a "third person" who can be oppressed, but Armada Riyanto wants the dignity of the Other to be truly respected and upheld by every human being. Such a concept creates intimate relationships between human beings so that every human being is able to respect and appreciate others as respecting oneself. So the authors come to the finding that in building relationships with others it is necessary to apply relationships that are intersubjective and based on the spirit of love, in which in these relations equality is emphasized between related subjects and respect for others. Such a concept can also overcome problems related to the arrogance of children of state officials which lead to acts of violence.

Abstract

Progress of the times brings digital technology. Most homo digitalis fail to respond to this. As a result, homo digitalis created a storm in the digital world. The widespread distribution, consumption of hoax news and brutality have even led to banality. This research uses a research method with library research, after being collected theoretically and arranged systematically, then the researcher uses the hermeneutic method. Socratic dialectics leads to balancing relationships, while at the same time responding to the tempest of homo digitalis. Of course, critical thinking will prevent the provocation of wrong information. By implementing Socratic dialectics, 1) Homo digitalis awakens from its deep sleep of the shackles of "banality". 2) By consistently realizing the virtue of "arate", it will deliver to a good soul "eudaimonia". 3) A good soul is obtained from good knowledge, good knowledge leads to good actions; Good actions that are habitual will become good character.

Abstract

Language is the one of many tools by which humans express ideas, images, and understanding of the world. However, the position of language between mind and world remains unclear. The question arises on whether language affects the way humans perceive the reality around them or, on the contrary, the reality that affects people's thoughts about the world. This article aims to examine the issue of language position between the mind and the world by conducting a comparative study of the Linguistic Relativity Principle offered by Benjamin Lee Whorf and the Language Game proposed by Ludwig Wittgenstein. Literature study was carried out by examining Wittgenstein's magnum opus Philosophical Investigations and Whorf's influential work Language, Thought and Reality. This article finds that the position of language is not between the mind and the world, but both transcends and encompasses them The key between thought and reality, mind and world, is the two-way relationship that is governed by it.

Abstract

The view that humans are social creatures has now shifted to anti-social humans. Technological advances make humans abandon direct interaction in social life. The presence of technology also makes social relations between individuals and communities replaced with wireless networks. The role of parents in educating children has also changed. Although social interaction is now becoming easier and instantaneous, there is no essence of social interaction itself. Gotong Royong is one of the alternative activities that need to be preserved by the community To improve human status as social creatures. In addition, these activities can foster togetherness in building the sustainability of micro cosmos and macro cosmos in human life in the world.  The purpose of this study is to affirm the function and benefits of Gotong Royong in human experience through awareness of the saying "Memayu Hayuning Bawana" for Javanese people. This research is literature research using a phenomenological approach to the social life of the community towards mutual aid activities. The result of this study is to understand the essence of the spirit of mutual assistance so that society can put aside the ego of each individual to achieve better social goals. In addition, it can be aligned with the value of local wisdom "Memayu Hayuning Bawana" which is still maintained by some Javanese people to this day, especially village communities. This philosophy of life has been used as a guide and practice in preserving nature, preserving the environment, and harmony among humans. The saying is used as the spiritual path of the Javanese people.

Abstract

Human efforts to understand the existence of God have been proven by the emergence of various arguments about God. Philosophers and theologians have contributed their thoughts in an effort to explain God. However, it must be admitted honestly, that every argument presented still has weaknesses that directly have not been able to define God in a final way. The arguments that arise have not been able to explain God that can be universally accepted, this of course must be acknowledged because of the limitations of humans who try to explain God without limits. The arguments presented by experts are proof that God is still a big mystery that has not been revealed by humans. The existence of God is still a debate between existence and non-existence, although the evidence for its existence is undeniable.

Abstract

Medang Kemulan's speech is one of the many speeches containing the teachings of Shiva. Judging from the language used and the sloka texts contained in it, it appears that the Medang Kemulan lontar is an old lontar. Tutur Medang Kemulan is often said to be the underlying source for the emergence of wariga teachings, but Tutur Medang Kemulan also teaches about the philosophy of life as a human. The human philosophy referred to in this Tutur Medang Kemulan research is a deep effort made by humans to understand what humans really are. Where did that human come from? Humans What are the elements that make up humans? Why were humans born? What is the purpose of human birth? Where do humans go after death? The method in this research is qualitative with data collection through literature study. Abstract

Society follows the progress of the times marked by rapid advancements in media technology, economy, and information. However, these advancements have led modern society to face lifestyles and ways of thinking that ultimately harm society itself. The aim of this research is to find solutions for modern society, which has become engulfed in confusion, through the approaches of Sufism and philosophy. Using a qualitative literature review method, the author focuses on Al-Ghazali's Sufi theory and Herbert Marcuse's philosophical theory. This focus allows for an in-depth analysis of both figures and their thoughts. In addressing problems faced by modern society such as materialism, consumerism, and individualism, Al-Ghazali, with his ethical Sufi theory, offers qualities like asceticism (zuhud), contentment (qona’ah), and brotherhood (ukhuwwah). Similarly, Herbert Marcuse proposes various solutions such as restoring critical consciousness, enlightenment, and cultural movements. In an era of limitless technological advancement and information reception, the implementation of these solutions becomes increasingly important and necessary for modern society.

Abstract

Soren Kierkegaard stated that in order to know the truth, individuals in the masses must experience God personally or experience and realize subjective experiences, not just practical theoretical ones based on the encouragement of the masses. This research aims to determine Kierkegaard's perspective regarding being an authentic individual, even though he is among the masses, in this case using qualitative methods with a library research approach. The data in this research is descriptive, based on the collection of literature studies. The results of this research are that, just as mass phenomena cannot be avoided, they can be responded to properly so as not to be carried away by mass currents. 1) Mass currents are a manifestation of individuals who fail to touch the relationships of their subjective experiences, 2) Being authentic is harmony between actions and subjective relationships of individuals, 3) Appreciation of subjective relationships that are based on God will help to avoid various falsehoods and lead to the truth true.

Abstract

This article aims to study the concept and understanding of Ende traditional marriage traditions that have been carried out since their ancestors until today. Apart from that, the author tries to make a comparison between the existence of women in the Ende traditional marriage tradition and the understanding of the concept of Dasein put forward by Martin Heidegger. In this paper, the author uses the observation method, interview method, and also the literature analysis method. Apart from that, the theories used by the author are always based on the thought concepts of Martin Heidegger. This article should examine or talk in more detail about the concepts of marriage in Ende society and also the concepts of Heidegger's thinking about Dasein as a way of being in the world and involving oneself in being actively involved, living and working in the world. The existence of women in this paper is greatly influenced by cultural factors such as belis or dowry, which can then determine the existence and way of being in a man's family. Therefore, the author examines in more detail and detail in this article the concept of Dasein and women's way of being in the middle of the world or "In-der-Welt-sein". Therefore, the presence of women is seen as an embodiment of the concept of Dasein which is "Being-in" the world and is actively involved with the world itself. The presence of women is not just "there", but "there" (living together) and actively involved in life in the world.
