Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of non-test evaluation in moral learning at SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Surakarta. The research method used is a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews with one of the teachers, and library research. The results showed that the implementation of non-test evaluations, such as observations of worship practices, congregational prayers, muroja’ah, and observations of student behavior, provided a comprehensive picture of students' moral development. Moral learning at SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Surakarta has also generally been implemented well, and the learning outcomes also show satisfactory achievements. However, there are several aspects in its implementation that need to be improved to improve the quality of the learning program such as the challenge of integrating moral values as a whole into students' daily behavior. This research recommends improving teacher competence, developing a comprehensive assessment rubric, and allocating adequate time and resources to support the successful implementation of non-test evaluation in moral learning. Similar research has also been conducted, for example by Ramadhan et al., (2024) which discusses non-test learning evaluation in morals subjects at SMP MUH 1 Karanganyar, as well as in the journal Natasya et al., (2024) which examines the implementation of non-test evaluation through microteaching practices in Aqidah Akhlak courses at UMS. Abstract

The purpose of this research is to assess how SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Sragen has used the Independent Curriculum (Kurikulum Merdeka) to teach Islamic Religious Education (PAI). The review is primarily concerned with three key areas: preparation, execution, and results. This research uses a qualitative descriptive technique to show how the Independent Curriculum allows for a lot of leeway in terms of learning design, but it also finds several problems, such students' and teachers' adaption to project-based learning and the availability of resources. The findings reveal that the curriculum enhances student engagement and participation but requires further optimization through teacher capacity building and the provision of adequate learning facilities. The study offers strategic recommendations to address these challenges, aiming to improve the overall effectiveness of Islamic Religious Education under the Independent Curriculum.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of Christian Religious Education in shaping a Christian work ethic among young people in the postmodern era. This era is characterized by relativism of truth, individualism, and rapid technological change, which often pose challenges for young people in finding a firm moral and spiritual foundation. The Christian work ethic, which includes values such as honesty, responsibility, discipline, and work as worship, serves as a critical foundation for addressing these challenges. Using a qualitative approach through literature review methods, this study finds that CRE plays a strategic role in instilling Christian work ethic values through the teaching of God’s Word, discipleship, and character formation. Scriptures such as Colossians 3:23 (“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters”) provide a theological foundation that encourages young people to view work as a divine calling. CRE also contributes to shaping young people who can navigate the cultural challenges of postmodernism by making Christian faith the foundation of their lives. The findings show that collaboration between the church, family, and Christian schools in implementing CRE can strengthen the formation of a Christian work ethic among young people. Thus, CRE not only serves as a means of spiritual education but also as a tool for cultural transformation, preparing young people to become agents of change who glorify God in the midst of the postmodern world.

Abstract

Learning evaluation plays an important role in the educational process, including in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) subjects. Evaluation is used to measure the achievement of student competencies and the effectiveness of learning. However, the success of the evaluation is greatly influenced by the quality of the instruments used. This article discusses the development of PAI learning evaluation instruments based on Bloom's Taxonomy, which includes cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains. This taxonomy provides a framework for designing comprehensive evaluation instruments, which not only measure knowledge, but also attitudes and skills of students in a religious context. The application of Bloom's Taxonomy in PAI evaluation is expected to support the achievement of more holistic learning objectives, including academic outcomes as well as the formation of character and spiritual values. This article also provides practical guidance for educators in designing effective learning evaluations, in accordance with the demands of a more flexible and character-based curriculum. Keywords: learning evaluation, Islamic Religious Education, Bloom's TaxonomyLearning evaluation plays an important role in the educational process, including in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) subjects. Abstract

Moral development is an educational or development process that aims to shape and improve an individual's behavior, morality and ethical values so that they conform to the moral standards recognized in a particular culture or ethical system. Moral development is an important part in the formation of a society that behaves well and justly and is an integral aspect in many ethical, religious and philosophical systems. It aims to create individuals who are able to make wise decisions, act with integrity, and contribute positively to society. In Islam, moral development is very much needed, especially nowadays, many people have deviated from Islamic teachings. Therefore, moral development must be instilled as early as possible so that a person's moral character is inherent in him. Noble morals will make people happy in their lives, and vice versa. In another sense, moral development in Islam does not conflict with each other but complements each other, namely traits that are deeply embedded in the soul which appear in outward actions that are carried out easily, without requiring any further thought and have become a habit.
