Abstract

This article examines the significance of inclusive education in Indonesia, emphasizing the difficulties encountered by children with special needs. Based on information from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) and UNICEF, around 650,000 children with disabilities exist in Indonesia, experiencing low rates of educational engagement. Inclusive education refers to a framework that offers all students, irrespective of any physical or mental disabilities, the chance to learn together in a shared setting. This study utilizes a library research approach to examine pertinent literature, focusing on educational models that can promote diversity in the classroom. Two fundamental bases for establishing inclusive education are philosophical and legal foundations, alongside three pertinent learning models: the Consultant Model, Teaming Model, and Collaborative Co-Teaching Model. The results suggest that introducing a personalized learning program (PPI) is essential for addressing the unique requirements of students. Suggestions are provided for schools and teachers to be ready to implement inclusive practices and engage parents in the educational process to foster an equitable and nurturing learning atmosphere for every student.

Abstract

Abstrak Pada tanggal 5 September 2024, berlangsung di Masjid Istiqlal dan disaksikan oleh para pemimpin dan tokoh multi agama, Pemimpin Gereja Katolik Sedunia, Paus Fransiskus dan Imam Besar Masjid Istiqlal, Nassarudin Umar, menandatangani sebuah dokumen kemanusiaan bernama Deklarasi Bersama Istiqlal. Karya tulis ilmiah ini hendak menunjukkan bahwa Deklarasi Bersama Istiqlal dapat menjadi fundamen kuat serentak inspirasi bagi perwujudan dan penguatan dialog inter-religius di Indonesia. Harapannya, dialog inter-religius yang terjadi semakin mampu mendorong kiprah agama-agama dan penganutnya untuk menjalankan misi kemanusiaan sekaligus menjawab isu-isu sosial di tengah masyarakat. Kata Kunci: Deklarasi Istiqlal, Inter-religius, Dialog Abstract On September 5th 2024, taking place at the Istiqlal Mosque and witnessed by multi-religious leaders and figures, the Leader of the World Catholic Church, Pope Francis and the Grand Imam of the Istiqlal Mosque, Nassarudin Umar, signing a humanitarian document called the Joint Declaration of Istiqlal. This scientific paper aims to show that the Joint Declaration of Istiqlal can be a strong foundation as well as an inspiration for the realization and strengthening of inter-religious dialogue in Indonesia. The hope is that inter-religious dialogue that occurs will increasingly be able to encourage the work of religions and their adherents to carry out humanitarian missions while responding to social issues in society. Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya kemampuan menulis Karya Tulis Ilmiah (KTI) bagi pengembangan karier professional (jabatan fungsional tertentu) di lingkungan Aparatur Sipil Negara. Walaupun pelatihan penulisan KTI sering diselenggarakan, namun efektivitasnya masih perlu dievaluasi. Penelitian bertujuan menganalisis faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi keberhasilan pelatihan penulisan KTI dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif melalui survei terhadap 93 peserta pelatihan. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan kuesioner dengan skala Likert dan dianalisis menggunakan regresi dan korelasi Spearman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan keterampilan menulis KTI dipengaruhi secara signifikan oleh metode pembelajaran efektif (β = 0,400), kemudahan memahami materi (β = 0,321), dan kelengkapan materi (β = 0,271). Kepuasan peserta dipengaruhi oleh kelengkapan materi (β = 0,515), metode efektif (β = 0,299), dan kemudahan memahami (β = 0,183). Terdapat korelasi positif antara peningkatan keterampilan dengan sikap peserta (ρ = 0,536) dan kepuasan peserta (ρ = 0,313). Penelitian merekomendasikan pengayaan materi komprehensif, penerapan metode pembelajaran interaktif, penguatan sistem mentoring pasca-pelatihan, serta pengembangan model pelatihan yang adaptif terhadap kebutuhan peserta untuk meningkatkan efektivitas pelatihan di masa mendatang.

Abstract

Pela Gandong is a local tradition in Maluku that stands as strong symbol of religious moderation, uniting Muslim and Christian communities in brotherhood that transcends religious differences. This tradition has played key role in maintaining harmony and has become model for conflict resolution based on local wisdom. This study aims to analyze research trends on Pela Gandong in context of religious moderation. Using bibliometric methods, this research traces trends in studies, citations, and collaborative networks among researchers to gain deeper understanding of development of studies on Pela Gandong. The findings show that number of publications related to Pela Gandong has increased, but there are still gaps in research that systematically examine this tradition within the context of religious moderation. Most previous studies have focused on historical and anthropological aspects of culture, while religious moderation dimension has not been extensively explored. Pela Gandong demonstrates how local wisdom can serve as an effective model of religious moderation, fostering interfaith harmony through values of tolerance, cooperation, and mutual assistance. This article also finds that Pela Gandong not only functions as a post-conflict resolution mechanism in Maluku, but also has potential to be adapted in other regions of Indonesia facing similar challenges in interreligious relations. In conclusion, Pela Gandong offers a relevant and effective model of religious moderation, yet further research is needed to understand how this tradition can be sustained and adapted in context of modernization and current social challenges, including introducing its values to younger generations.

Abstract

The impression of Islamic and scientific culture within Islamic boarding schools is increasingly essential in today’s era of rapid technological advancement, where the potential of students is growing and becoming increasingly dynamic. This study explores the need for change management to enhance students’ capabilities and development in achieving better learning outcomes. The research was conducted at MBS Pleret, Yogyakarta, with informants comprising one religious teacher and ten students. A qualitative case study approach was employed, with data collected through interviews and observations. Data analysis involved processes of reduction, display, and verification. The findings indicate that the theory- and practice-based learning process at MBS Muhammadiyah Pleret, Yogyakarta, is supported by effective learning change management. The study revealed that students’ learning outcomes and overall development showed significant improvement compared to previous results. The implications of this research highlight the benefits for educators, who are supported by the integration of change management and knowledge management strategies, in enhancing students’ academic achievements. The data, collected every six months, shows a notable growth in students' learning potential, particularly through the application of neuroscience principles. Additionally, the culture of the pesantren significantly influences the behavior and lifestyle of both students (santri) and religious teachers. The findings suggest that implementing change management in Islamic boarding schools enhances learning outcomes, managerial knowledge, and cultural aspects of school management. However, the research did not establish a significant correlation between change management and knowledge management, suggesting the need for further investigation to understand their interrelationship.

Abstract

The characteristics of chemistry are full of abstract and complex concepts. The process of learning chemistry, especially Redox material, tends to only explain chemical concepts at the macroscopic and symbolic levels and does not relate to the submicroscopic level. This results in the concept of Redox material as a whole being difficult for students to understand and results in low interest and learning outcomes. The purpose of this study was to improve the chemistry learning outcomes of MAN Buleleng students using the implementation of an integrated multiple representation learning design of interactive flipbooks on Redox material. This study was conducted through two cycle stages with two meetings in each cycle using multiple representation syntax assisted by interactive flipbook learning media that can be accessed online. The success of the implementation of integrated multiple representation learning of interactive flipbooks can be seen from the continuous increase in learning outcomes of 16.13% in Cycle I and 9.8% in Cycle II. The application of integrated multiple representation learning of interactive flipbooks shows an increase in student learning outcomes in redox material. The results of this study can be used for the process of improving chemistry learning at MAN Buleleng in particular and the learning process in other schools in general.

Abstract

This study aims to discuss the process of acculturation between customs and Islam in Lamahala Jaya Village, East Adonara District, East Flores Regency from an educational and religious perspective. This acculturation occurs in various aspects of social, religious, and educational life, creating harmony between traditional values ​​and Islamic teachings. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, this study reveals that local traditions are maintained with adjustments to be in harmony with Islamic teachings. Traditional ceremonies, commemorations of Islamic holidays, and customary deliberations are real examples of how Islam and local culture can blend without causing clashes of values. However, modernization and globalization present challenges to the sustainability of this acculturation, especially in the inheritance of values ​​to the younger generation. Therefore, a revitalization strategy through education based on customs and Islam is needed to maintain a balance between cultural heritage and religious teachings. The results of this study indicate that the acculturation of customs and Islam not only maintains cultural identity, but also strengthens Islamic values ​​in the lives of the local community.

Abstract

This study aims to compare the TGT Model assisted by Wordwall with conventional learning in grade IV students of SD Gugus II Buleleng. Using a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group, this study involved 84 students. The research sample was taken using the sample random sampling method, with SDN 2 Tukadmungga as the experimental group (29 students) and SDN 1 Pemaron as the control group (22 students). Data were obtained through observation, interviews, tests, and documentation, then analyzed using SPSS version 25.0 for Windows. Data analysis includes validity test, reliability test, test difference test, item difficulty level test, N-Gain test, normality test, homogeneity test, and t-test. Based on the hypothesis that has been evaluated, data analysis using the independent t-test shows that t count> t table, namely the t count value of 8.165> t table 1.676. This shows that there is a difference in students' understanding of the flat shape material of Team Games Tournament learning equipped with Wordwall media with conventional learning
