Abstract

Anaemia among women of reproductive age remains a public health concern because it may affect preconception readiness, pregnancy outcomes, and maternal and fetal health. Prospective brides are a strategic group for receiving anaemia education before pregnancy. This study aimed to analyse the need for digital video-based anaemia education among prospective brides attending premarital health services at public health centres in Bengkalis District. This preliminary study used a descriptive quantitative approach with a needs assessment design. The study was conducted in January 2026 and involved 30 prospective brides selected through total sampling. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire with yes/no responses covering basic knowledge of anaemia, reproductive and pregnancy-related impacts, prevention efforts, previous information sources, perceptions of anaemia as a premarital health issue, educational needs, perceptions of digital media, feasibility of video media, media availability, and willingness to receive digital video-based education. Data were analysed descriptively using frequencies and percentages. The need percentage was calculated by dividing the total number of “yes” responses by the total responses across all subitems. The results showed that 94.42% of responses were “yes” and 5.58% were “no”. Most respondents were aged 20–25 years and had an undergraduate educational background. These findings indicate high acceptance and perceived need for digital video-based anaemia education as an initial basis for developing premarital educational media. However, this study did not evaluate the effectiveness of the media in improving knowledge, attitudes, or preventive behaviour

Abstract

The Phenomenon of Reading Without Comprehension Among Elementary School Students in a Sasak-Speaking Environment: An Analysis Based on the Simple View of Reading  This study aims to describe the habit of reading without comprehension and analyze literacy barriers among elementary school students in a Sasak language-speaking environment based on the Simple View of Reading (SVR) perspective. Using a qualitative case study approach, this research involved 10 students and 1 literacy teacher at SD Negeri 1 Kelayu Selatan selected through purposive sampling, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed using the Miles & Huberman interactive model. The findings revealed that all students read fluently, but only 5 out of 10 students could identify important information, 2 out of 10 students could retell the text content, and only 1 out of 10 students could draw conclusions. The main barrier identified is related to limited Indonesian vocabulary due to the dominance of Sasak language use in daily life, which potentially limits students' exposure to formal Indonesian and hinders the language comprehension component within the SVR framework. Based on these findings, technical reading fluency does not guarantee comprehension; therefore, school literacy programs should focus on vocabulary enrichment and developing critical thinking skills in understanding texts. This study is limited to the context of one school with 10 subjects, so the findings cannot be generalized to all elementary school students who are Sasak speakers in other regions

Abstract

This study examined how organizational culture and work motivation influence teacher performance at SMA Negeri 1 Bululawang, Malang Regency, with management information systems (MIS) positioned as an intervening variable. The problem addressed is the persistence of uneven teacher performance despite the existence of a supportive school culture, relatively strong work motivation, and administrative-digital systems that are expected to improve professional work. The main research gap addressed in this study concerns the limited explanation of how organizational values and teacher motivation are translated into measurable performance through a digital management mechanism. Therefore, MIS is positioned not merely as a technical predictor, but as a mediating mechanism that links organizational and motivational factors to teacher performance.  An explanatory quantitative design was employed. From a population of 80 school personnel, 60 respondents were selected through purposive sampling followed by total sampling of eligible participants. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire covering teacher performance, organizational culture, work motivation, and MIS use. The model was analyzed using Partial Least Squares structural equation modeling with WarpPLS 8.0. The findings show that organizational culture significantly predicted MIS use (β = 0.611, p < .001), work motivation significantly predicted MIS use (β = 0.205, p = .047), work motivation directly predicted teacher performance (β = 0.469, p < .001), and MIS significantly predicted teacher performance (β = 0.332, p = .003). Organizational culture did not directly predict performance (β = -0.045, p = .362), but it had a significant indirect effect through MIS (β = 0.203, p = .010). Conversely, the indirect effect of work motivation through MIS was not significant. These results suggest that digital management systems serve as a bridge through which organizational culture becomes performance-relevant, particularly when implementation is consistent, data-driven, and supported by digital capacity building.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop and evaluate JAMPI (Jamu Alami Media Pembelajaran Inovatif) as a jamu-based local wisdom learning kit to improve sustainable living literacy in the Character Education theme for Grade 5 students at SDN 11 Baamang Tengah, Central Kalimantan. The study responded to the limited availability of contextual instructional media that integrate local medicinal plant knowledge, sustainability concepts, and character formation in elementary classrooms. A Research and Development design was applied using the ADDIE model, consisting of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The field implementation involved one intact Grade 5 classroom consisting of 24 students. Data were collected through needs analysis, expert validation, teacher and student response questionnaires, pre-test and post-test, character observation, interviews, and documentation. The JAMPI product consisted of a teacher guidebook, student activity book, medicinal plant information cards, practical jamu-making kit, and infographic posters. The expert validation result showed that JAMPI was feasible, with an average score of 79.41%. The practicality test showed highly feasible results, with teacher response reaching 87.5% and student response reaching 89.2%. The effectiveness test showed that students’ average score increased from 45.54 in the pre-test to 90.25 in the post-test, with an N-Gain of 0.82 in the high category. Student character scores also increased from 63.8% to 85.3%. These findings indicate that JAMPI effectively supports sustainable living literacy, cultural appreciation, environmental responsibility, and character development through concrete, experiential, and locally grounded learning.

Communication Strategy of the PPKBPPPA Office of Garut Regency Through the Gerakan Ayah Teladan Indonesia (GATI) Education Program for Stunting Prevention Stunting is a public health problem influenced by nutrition, parenting practices, socioeconomic conditions, and family involvement in childcare. One increasingly important aspect of stunting prevention is fathers’ involvement in caregiving, family decision-making, nutritional support, and access to health services. This study aims to analyze the communication strategy of the PPKBPPPA Office of Garut Regency in implementing the Gerakan Ayah Teladan Indonesia (GATI) Education Program, particularly in terms of audience understanding, message formulation, method selection, and media selection and utilization. This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, literature study, and documentation. The data were analyzed through data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings show that the communication strategy of the GATI Program was implemented by identifying the target audience, including fathers with young children, fathers with adolescents, prospective brides and grooms, and adolescent boys as future fathers. Communication messages focused on the importance of fathers’ roles in childcare, family resilience, and stunting prevention. The communication methods included educational, persuasive, and participatory approaches through socialization, counseling, discussion, and mentoring activities. The media used included face-to-face communication and digital platforms such as WhatsApp and Instagram. This study concludes that the GATI Program communication strategy contributes to strengthening the delivery of messages regarding fathers’ involvement in family life as part of stunting prevention efforts
